I had to stay for 2 wks with my dog while my husband was in hospital. It was the lovely friendly Staff that made my stay. They were not only friendly to me and my dog but also asked after my husband. Every evening I would sit in the cosy sitting area with sofas and my dog was welcome as well as in the bar/restaurant area. The room is not large but very comfortable and the bed was comfy as well. I stayed in January but the room was always warm enough. I ate in the Hotel every evening and the food is very good., maybe not the sort of food for a diet, but hearty comfort food and a delicious sticky toffee pudding! The rooms are in a separate building right next to Reception and Bar/Restaurant but I found that much easier with the dog as I could take her straight from the car parked in front of the room. I would definitely stay again.

We have stayed a few times at Ibis, Plymouth. Although near the Parkway, a busy dual carriageway, the rooms are quiet and there is no noise from the traffic. There is a charging point on site which is convenient to top up the battery in our electric car. The room is a decent size and the bathroom is well fitted out with a large shower cubicle. There is a good choice of breakfast, which is self service. The hotel is well placed for travelling further afield, i.e. into Cornwall, or into the town centre of Plymouth. There is a bus stop not too far away with a frequent bus service.

There was nothing we did not like.

The room was modern and clean - you wouldn’t have known other dogs had previously used the room. With a spacious bathroom and walk in shower. We were positioned on the ground floor so we had easy access to the grass outside for our dog. We could also park right outside our room which was convenient. It was good that the hotel had a bar and served hot meals (I think some of the meals had a 24 hour option which would have be great for night workers or late arrivals etc). Staff were friendly and the location was ok for what we needed as a short stop over. Good value for money.

If I had to be really picky (and I feel like I’m clutching at straws to find negatives) is that the bedroom could have been a bit more spacious, with our luggage and a medium sized dog we were getting in each others way a bit when walking around. Not a big issue as we were not there much but might be annoying if you have a big dog or two. There was a bit of noise from the busy road behind the hotel but with the window closed it wasn’t too bad.

I loved the concept of having separate rooms instead of the hotel style rooms, if that makes any sense. I had a ground floor room with direct access to the outdoor space, which was great for a smoker, as I didn't have to use any statis or lift to get to the outdoor space. Just a few steps from the building, they also had a nice sunny place with tables and chairs. The location was very quiet, everything was very clean, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. My husband made the check-in and got the room keys. He said that the staff at the reception were so nice, and he felt he was treated like a star. He even got priority at check-in. I remember paying a very small price, so I would say a very good value for money.

I absolutely loved everything.

Excellent location, we liked how the rooms were seperate to the main reception and how there were parking spaces right outside the room. Rooms had everything we needed. Key cards to access the room. Dogs were allowed which was great for us. Who travel with our dogs. The rooms were lovely and clean and well presented. We had an issue with the TV where there was absolutely no signal coming through and it was noticed the Ariel cable was faulty. A member of staff, Chris I believe, came to our room to see if he could solve the problem. Sadly maintainence needed to get involved so we were moved next door to save waiting around. Chris then returned with the new room keys and 2 drinks for us which was lovely of him. Although there was a main road/dual carriage just outside there was very little noise. No noise from other rooms either which was nice. In the desk there was a laminated sheet that had lots of information about local amenities, distances to transport and sightseeing spots etc which was a great touch.

Beds were little hard and uncomfortable and the pillows weren’t as firm as I’d have hoped.

Always look for accommodation with breakfast and wasn’t disappointed. Dinner menu had plenty of variety but tasty and reasonably priced. Staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. Motel style room arrangement is ideal for pet lovers and it was great to find that our dog was allowed in eating area (on lead). Location of hotel gave not only easy access to Plymouth itself but also main road to access areas around.

Room was a little small but absolutely fine for purpose

Useful location for trips east & west of Plymouth. Comfortable room & good bathroom, TV and bed. Friendly staff, good lighting in room and choice of pillow type. Parking outside room possible (motel-style) if requested. Adjustable electric heater, desk & chair. Excellent value for money.

The downside of the convenient location just off the A38 Parkway is the traffic noise. Earplugs a good idea if you're not used to it. Not walking distance to pubs/restaurants although hotel does offer breakfast and other meals if required.

We have been coming to the ibis now for 3 years, we have family in Plymouth, and we wouldn't stay anywhere else, the staff are as always friendly and helpful, and nothing is ever to much for them, the rooms are immaculate, clean and warm with polite room service attendants, we use the bar frequently and bar staff are brilliant id give the ibis 20 out of 10 x

The toilet flush didn’t work properly !!also the shower was a bit difficult to get out of perhaps a grab handle just outside the shower screen as the screen doesn’t move but you still get water on the floor so it can be a bit slippery the bed was very comfortable

This is the best hotel I think we have EVER stayed in. Bit expensive but honestly the room was so clean & well equipped! Had a fan, hairdryer, light up Mirror in the bathroom which makes it like a make up mirror, the shower was big and a walk in type one, the bed and pillows was big & amazingly comfortable, so much so I even tried to find out what mattress they used, it had extra pillows & tea/ coffee / sugar & milk with a kettle in the room, the bar is 24 hours & they even offered us food when we finally arrived at 2AM. , the bar / reception was stunning, very modern & lots of seating & charger ports to chill in there. The hotel was even PET FRIENDLY, which we LOVE! 100% will be going back & will always go back again.

The price was a little high due to it not having breakfast included in the price, this was the ONLY thing we said .
