Just a lovely, traditional Victorian guesthouse run by a hardworking family. Incredibly welcoming and clear about systems of ordering breakfast. Off street parking and on street parking around the side. Amazing double glazing in the room which shut out car traffic. Clean bedrooms and a clever ‘hidden’ en-suite (looks like a wardrobe).

Not really relevant - it is a Victorian guesthouse with ceiling roses, pastel yellow on the walls and patterned carpets in keeping with the historical period. If you want a more modern room/stay, then this isn’t for you. However, it was exceptionally clean and the beds weren’t too hard or too soft; the breakfast was great and the owners polite and welcoming.

we were welcomed by the host who gave us lots of useful information of the history of plymouth and where to go. the room was very clean though a little small but there were five rooms available and the guest house was nearly fully booked so we can't complain about the room. the bathroom was huge and very modern. the breakfast was very good it was made to the time you preferred to have it so it was freshly cooked and the breakfast room was never overcrowded. the hosts couldn't do enough for us . well recommended.

there wasn't anything not to like realy, the only thing you could say is that it is a little way out from the city centre but apart from that it is a perfect place to explore plymouth an the surrounding area.

This property was very homely. The room was exceptional and just what we needed after a long drive and day at work. They were able to provide us with the keys earlier due to work commitments which made our day easier. We were a family of 3, (2 adults and 1 child). Beds were super comfortable, shower facilities were great and had a good variety of coffee/tea. Filled in a breakfast form when we first arrived to pre order and it did not let us down. Breakfast was delicious. Will definitely keep this place in mind. The owners (terrible with names) were delightful, very friendly. Happy to have a chat and cater for all our needs. Really happy we chose to stay at alma lodge.

Breakfast room, as was the rest of the house, clean, tidy and very welcoming. A family run business with very pleasant and helpful people - a pleasure to stay with them. As an added bonus, there is a Wetherspoons pub just a ten minute walk away.

We booked a family room. It had a double bed and 3 full sized single beds (often a family room has sub-standard additional beds but these were perfect for our 3 university aged 'children'!). There was also a good sized en-suite bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. A substantial cooked breakfast the next morning was included in the price which made it a very good value stay. There was no parking available on their front drive by the time we arrived but plenty of parking in a nearby street

Warm welcome and intro to the room. All clean but a bit crowded with the three single beds.

Limited hanging for clothes. Shower and toilet space very small. Parking space limited and on street parking could be difficult if only spsce available was a distance down the hill. TV was too high up and only one chair to sit in.

Although we arrived very early, the owners very kindly allowed us to park up and go to our room. They also told us of a very good place nearby where we could have our evening meal and gave us directions on how to get there. The room itself was of a reasonable size, very clean as was the Bathroom. We considered the Breakfast excellent and we had a nice long chat with both the owner and her Daughter, who apparently runs the B&B. They were very informative, regarding places in Plymouth we could visit, as we had plenty of time to spend while waiting for our Ferry.

Hosts were fantastic and very helpful. When my son and I struggled to find an uber to take us to an interview they helped us arrange a local bus and alternative taxis. Really appreciated!

n/a. Worth noting that Uber don't seem to have much coverage in Plymouth though. Taxis and buses are used more.

- Blinked lamp in bathroom, but it can't be fixed fast - The left window was noise with strong wind, there is hole near wall from left side. I'm sure it will be fixed soon.

Great location for what we needed. Great design of the room to include an ensuite. Comfy bed. Very clean. Lovely to have nice pub up the road too. Family weee flexible with breakfast time too, which we appreciated. Great to have parking too.
