Great location, overlooking the sea, seats outside well visited. Bed lovely, large and comfy. Room comfortable. We had a view which was pretty despite the weather. Food was very nice. Lots of locals seem to visit the pub and restaurant. I really enjoyed staying here, had a good atmosphere.

Not much, was all good. The shower didn't work very well, looked a super duper power shower but only a trickle came out. if we were staying longer I would have mentioned, I am sure they would have sorted, but were only there one night and only discovered in the morning before we left. Wouldn't stop me staying again.

The staff. Every member of staff we met were helpful, friendly and nice. i would stay there again in the strength of the staff alone. Hotel staff can make or break a holiday. The Crown staff made it.

Little things, easily fixable. Toilet door lock not working. No fridge in the room. The restaurant food could have been better. Breakfast was excellent but the main dinner was pretty mediocre. The music from the evening entertainment (Sat & Sun) was quite loud in the rooms.

Always a warm welcome and as they were having some work done we received a call to say there were builders in and out and hoped it wouldn't put us off, of course it didn't, the crown is our go to chill out place the staff are lovely the food is excellent we were in room 12 a lovely big room with great views the only complaint would be it got quite cold by late afternoon the radiator was really warm but it's stuck behind a big TV unit and stopped it heating up the room this room needs to be reconfigurated won't stop us going back though

Rooms were nice and clean. Big bathroom. Big bed and very comfortable. Kettle provided with tea, coffee, biscuits. Toiletries provided. Hairdryer and iron & ironing board also provided.. We didn't require our room to be cleaned but the cleaner made sure we had everything we needed. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Breakfast was excellent. Great service at meals and breakfast. Always busy for food so recommend booking. Ideal location in the centre of Portpatrick.

All food; breakfast and evening meals were very good. All staff - front of house and housekeeping, were very accommodating - nothing was too much trouble. The view of the harbour from our loft room (room 7) was spectacular and the shower was fierce!

If you are above average size, room 7 with it's sloped ceiling, is a bit restrictive when moving about; however the view more than makes up for it!

location was perfect stayed in portpatrick many times , the crown is a superb place to enjoy your break its location is spot on the food is also very good , the staff are really helpfull and very friendly , stayed 2 days breakfast was very good , meals at night were excellent could not fault the place , rooms were clean and bathromm was very good , only thing if i was to moan about anything would be the tv in the room being to small but it done the job , overall id give this place 9/10 , you wont be dissapointed with anything the place has to offer , the area itself has plenty of places to visit , lovely wee area of south west scotland

What a view! The hotel was spotlessly clean, cosy and the bar was lively and full of character on a Saturday afternoon. A gorgeous fire that kept the cold at door. The staff are some of the most helpful and welcoming we have experienced. We had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed everything. Reasonably priced and best of produce. Breakfast is plentiful and offers something for everyone. We will certainly return in the future. Absolutely delighted with our stay.

We've stayed at the Crown several times over the past few years and are always enthralled by the view, it enjoys picture postcard location, from your room overlooking the small harbour on clear day you can see the coast of Northern Ireland. The busy bar serves Real ale and the Restaurant good food, as you would expect from a harbour side Restaurant the seafood is excellent.

So very Clean , and accommodating. Modern niceties but still staying true to old charm. The food in the pub is delicious! Not to mention the conversation with other patrons and staff was so friendly and welcoming. We loved that it is animal friendly!

The shower was a little bit hard to figure out for me , but, my husband worked it fine. So that probably was just a “me” problem

Just returned from a couple of nights at The Crown. Portpatrick is a lovely place, and the Crown is an ideal base. A busy pub, with very friendly staff, and excellent food within a very pleasant and large restaurant area. The room was small, but very clean and comfortable. No noise from pub below (we were on top floor). Good value, and very centrally located.

The room size might put some people off, but it was fine for us.
