There was no breakfast, but this was fine as there were high quality coffee bags and Biscoff biscuits in the room, which was a really nice touch. The room itself was small but beautifully decorated and comfortable. The bed was superb. One thing I would like to compliment the pub on was having two log fires, both lit. I've lost count of the number of pubs that don't light their fires and it makes such a difference to the ambience when fires are lit. It was very much appreciated.

Room was decorated so beautifully, and very clean. We had an evening meal when we arrived which was excellent it's the best Sticky Toffee pudding I've ever had. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The only problem is that they don't serve breakfast, because they have only two rooms and the kitchen doesn't open until 10am it makes it difficult to provide this service. We didn't mind because we had such a big meal the night before and we're still fairly full. Apparently there is a small cafe down the road from the pub where you can get some food.

Friendly, good food in the restaurant , clean and comfortable. Nice bed and pillows. Good selection of beer and wine. We were made to feel welcome.
Room was chilly and the heated towel rail in the bathroom didn’t work. £10 continental breakfast was poor- a pastry and pre packed croissant. We stayed on New Year’s Eve so expected some noise from the bar, but the music went on till 5.45 am which I feel was unreasonable.

Very kind staff waited until my colleague arrived an hour later than expected. Also saw us off with a friendly chat. Great location for HET training nearby and only ten mins from Andover. Food was tasty too.
The room was beautiful but cold and noisy with cars passing in the morning. Bathroom was lovely and the bed was very comfy and beautiful.

Really Friendly staff, fantastic food and drink, great location room was well appointed. We had both evening meal ( highlight was an amazing Caribbean beef and sweet potato curry ) and returned for lunch ( again all courses were outstanding ) after our 5 mile walk. We stayed nearby for a few more days and sampled the takeaway service of fish n chips which was also excellent!

The room was very comfortable, large, clean and well decorated including the bathroom, really efficient shower. the rooms were in an annexe attached to the pub.
Only continental breakfast which would have been left in a miniature fridge in your room. No wardrobe, only small rail with a few coat hangers, difficult if you were staying for several days.

Location fabulous. Room very good, spacious, nicely decorated, lovely bathroom
There was no heating in the room or bathroom at all. We asked for heat the first night and they said they would turn it up, but nothing. The second night they did bring us a heater which made it much more comfortable.

Tasteful refurbished room. Friendly staff. Superb locally sourced dinner. Good local ale. This large inn was packed on a Wednesday night. Exemplary local reputation.
No cooked breakfast. Was advised to use a local cafe, which was very satisfactory.

Lovely room and staff very friendly 😊. Owner made time to make himself known to us. Very near to Highclere Castle. Lovely little village with great shop and tearoom. People very welcoming.
Bathroom needed a shelf for toiletries.

Comfy room, excellent shower. Pub was busy and a great friendly atmosphere, open fires, dogs to fuss. Food very good.
For the price we paid I would have expected breakfast to be included
