Great position for what we wanted to do in the area and plenty of good parking

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

We had eaten at this pub before but this was our first stay and we weren't disappointed. The food was as good as we remembered, we particularly like the fact that they serve a slightly different menu to the normal pub things, but still traditional. As we had our dog with us we had one of the stable courtyard rooms at the back of the pub, which was great as we were away from the road and could park our car right outside our room. A good sized bathroom and a fridge with fresh milk and bottled water made the facilities special.

There wasn't anything we would complain about. Everything was perfect especially the attitude of the staff, very friendly yet still professional.

Scrupulously clean, soft good sized towels, very comfortable bed, lovely pub with lots of space, good outside area. Good parking. DOG FRIENDLY. Food available on Sunday nights. Good breakfast and excellent roast dinners. Dyson fan (instructions via Google)

Dog friendly rooms are in converted stables. Small windows, only 1 opened. West facing and it was sunny. Room got and stayed extremely hot, slept with fan on which helped a bit but fan noise didn't help. 2nd night (as above) but this time unable to open curtains to try and find some cooler air due to very bright flashing from the Electric Charger outside which was left in use all night. Over the 2 nights we got about 1 nights sleep.

Our room was excellent, plenty of space and storage facilities, useful desk for work, and comfortable seating. On the whole, the staff went out of their way to be helpful and friendly.

Our first meal in the bar was disappointing in terms of service, and the staff appeared willing, but insufficiently trained, for example failing to take away dirty glasses and dishes or taking orders for additional drinks. That said, they were pleasant throughout our stay and we would definitely go back. Our ground floor room looked onto the car park and it would have been helpful to have some sort of light curtains so that people could not look in during the day. The black out blinds at night were excellent.

The welcome, it was warm, quick, and we quickly accessed our room. The room was clean and tidy. The room facilities were excellent. Good sized and comfy bed. Large tv you could sync to your phone. There was a dyson fan & a nespresso machine. The bathroom was great. Two sinks & a lovely big shower. Amenities provided in there were good also. The cooked breakfast was fantastic! With a limited range of excellent continental options.

The doors to the rooms & our outbuilding are quite heavy. So, when people were coming in and out at night it was noisy. But it didn't really bother us.

My room was in a newish "stable-block" like building, visually matching the actual stable block. It was beautifully fitted out, with an excellent comfortable bed, desk, and a coffee pod machine for my first thing in the morning espresso. There was a stylish little fridge, looking nothing like a fridge, on the wall - containing water and fresh milk, which is unusual and was much appreciated. In short, a nice, comfortable room with almost everything one could wish for. Breakfast options were excellent, and the breakfast itself was as good as the options. The car park was big enough, with good sized spaces, and close to the rooms. The WiFi connection was good, fast and stable.

There was no desk light and the room lighting was too dim to read sitting at the desk. The water bottle was plastic. The fridge woke me up, even though I'd put it into it's "quiet" mode. There seemed to be a lot of creaking/banging at night, as if I were in a proper old building, so although the bed was really comfy, between fridge and noises off I had a relatively disturbed night (I'm a very light sleeper). The WiFi was too locked down, it was fine for web browsing and video conference but for anything more I had to use a VPN and some obfuscation.

Compact rooms, comfy beds. Tea making facilities with fresh milk and Nespresso machine nice touch. Iron & board. Loads of parking and for us right outside our room in the converted news. Staff very friendly and helpful. Diners should prebook all their food choices as they do run out., which can’t be helped.

The bathroom could’ve done with a better clean. We didn’t have a hairdryer (the rest of our party did) so maybe just room 12 needs one. I forgot to tell the property sorry x

Paul was very accommodating as we were on a cycling trip he made arrangements for us to be on the ground floor so we could keep them with us. Dinner and Breakfast were delicious.

I wish I had read the welcome book early as it mentioned about turning of the fridge that was a little noisy in the room but a really nice touch to have fresh milk for tea and coffe.

Very comfortable bed. Lovely and warm. Great shower. Loads of power points. Nicely decorated and well themed. Breakfast options and quality.

Being very picky, the smashed avocado breakfast wasn’t as described. More like (lovely) poached eggs on toast with an avocado spread and a couple of cherry tomatoes. Otherwise fabulous!

Lovely pub with great food and drinks. Great garden to sit out in, and a great quiet countryside walk right on the doorstep (excellent for dogs) Good enough breakfast. We found some of the staff a off hand. Nice room with good shower, and tea and coffee making facilities. Although pretty small. EV charging (2 slots) was good. Overall: good, solid but nothing to shout about

Room okay but a little small. Some of the staff were a little grumpy. The porridge at breakfast was not good
