There is great bar and restaurant on site, plenty of parking, easily accessed from major routes. Comfy bed, nice pillows, spacious room. The facilities in the room were ample, all you'd expect plus a few nice touches such as hot chocolate and a coffee machine. The staff were super helpful and chatty. The breakfast was great and the evening meal was beautiful. We travelled with our dog oscar (yorkie), this must be the most dog friendly place we've been. It was a pleasure staying there with Oscar. We took all we needed but there's food available and treats, clean bowls and beds near the rooms, we've never see this before. The village itself is beautiful and nice for a post-breakfast stroll. It's real chocolate box country. We will stay again soon when we are next down south - we found a real gem.

Food in the restaurant was beautiful both for dinner and breakfast the next morning. Friendly staff. Nice location with pub garden opposite next to a stream. Bed was very comfortable and pillows amazing like clouds!

Fans a bit dusty in rooms, lots of little spiders everywhere in room and bathroom (but it is in the country) I just hate them though. Unfortunately a previous guests knickers and socks were still in a drawer in our room. Room 5 also had no TV signal, and despite reporting to staff still had no signal all of our stay. Smart screen TV is great if you have a WiFi signal to use... Unfortunately we did not as its its 'hit and miss' apparently, and was definitely a miss for our stay. Nice dab radio at least that worked.

The bed and were extremely comfortable. The fridge in the room with fresh milk and water is a nice touch. Lovely toiletries, and you could help yourself to a selection of items you may have forgotten or needed, such as cotton wool, earbuds , shoe cleaning and sewing kits etc. The food quality was very good and to my delight served on very hot plates. The service was good and staff very friendly. Overall a very pleasant stop over.

The inn is obviously an old property and is rather tired in places. The windows in our room needed to be replaced. Attention to detail in cleanliness was a little lacking. ie very dusty/ dirty skirting boards in the bathroom.

Food, room, facilities all excellent Managers attention to detail and approachability, professionalism and customer service beyond expectations. Easily one of the best establishments I have ever stayed at in the UK

Member of staff experience not up to scratch, left us waiting for coffee after our evening meal for over 45 minutes despite being reminded twice and the got the order wrong. We were too tired to wait any longer as had been up since 3.30am. Observant and attentive manager noticed and dealt with the issue exceptionally well and way beyond my expectations with no complaint from us.

Staff were so lovely from the minute you walked in the door, took the time to make sure you were settled, had everything you needed and for a nice friendly chat. The Inn is so warm and cosy and has such a welcoming atmosphere, and the food is delicious (we had breakfasts, dinner and desserts). We brought our dog with us to stay and she was treated like royalty and spoiled rotten with treats and cuddles, along with a dog bed and bowls for the room. The room was spacious and clean with a extra room with a sofa and TV for extra space. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone else as well.

We were in the room right beside the housekeeping room and we were woken up very early one morning with them slamming doors and jingling keys very loudly but it wasn't enough to even complain about or put us off staying again

A lovely country pub with a good bar and restaurant. Overall service was great but there was a slightly grumpy lad behind the bar! Excellent food, especially the tapas offer which made a delicious light lunch for us both.

The weather!! We stayed on a very cold couple of days but the pub and rooms were warm. The bar has flat screen tv’s which showed a burning log fire which was interesting however, a real one would have been more cosy!

Lovely place. Nice feel about it. Staff that looked after us were amazing. The lad that showed us to our room and served our table was brilliant. He said he was fairly new but he was knowledgeable and polite. Couldnt have helped us any more. Food was exceptional. We had a wide range of options including the Christmas menu. Unsure if he was the landlord but the main man behind the bar was so nice. Friendly and welcoming.

Id have given a 10, but the comms werent great. We had a cancellation of an event and I wanted to talk through potential options. Three messages sent and none replied to. However, the experience we had was super nice.

Amazingly decorated/designed hotel. The room was spacious (in fact there were two rooms - a bedroom and a sitting one). The food in their pub was delicious and very well served.

The room was very cold. I appreciate during the summertime it should be ok, but as for December, we were freezing. Please also bear in mind, there is only a showerhead (no hose at all). So, if you are not planning to wash your hair during your stay, you may need to bring a shower cap with you. We also had to leave taps open for 10 minutes before getting to the hot water. The breakfast they offer as included is a continental one, which includes coffee/tea, croissants and sweet pastries, jams, yoghurts, and cereals. They unfortunately do not offer ham or cheese. Although, the croissants and pastries were tasty and felt like they were freshly baked.

Nice decor in the rooms, mostly very clean, loved how dog-friendly it was. Lovely eating area by the fireplace-was perfect for us as we had young children and dogs with us. Straightforward check-in and check-out. Pretty fields opposite. Lots of parking space. I enjoyed the food.

The mattress was very soft and caved in, so it was sloping in towards my partner all night as he’s heavier. Also there were some brown bits of leaves or something between my 2 pillows. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. The rooms were very hot…we cranked the radiator down but our other guests had assumed it was a fixed temperature so were really hot overnight. Maybe instructions somewhere would be good if they’re not already in the book or something. The bathroom radiator couldn’t be adjusted so had to leave the window open as it was boiling.

Beautiful location. Very good staff. Helpful and professional, especially the temp emma. Overall impression was good. And we would stay again.we had 1 evening meal which was cooked to perfection and was delicious 😋 fish and chips. Family bedroom great.....comfy beds. Clean and fresh. There is plenty of hot water and very nice soaps and shampoos etc. Efficient fan provided.

Tv in room didn't work with remote and Internet was intermittent. No coffee machine although cups and pods. Can be noisy at night from guests sitting outside. Very limited menu. 😕 no steak,gammon, pies or pasta....? Overall I'd check rooms facilities were as advertised Improve internet/tv connection. Extend menu choices 😋 👌
