Nice location and the food was really good both evenings and breakfasts. Special mention to Izzy who really worked hard Saturday evening and Sunday morning unlike the rest of her colleagues.

Rooms could do with a deep clean, very dusty with cobwebs on the ceiling. We found a pubic hair in the shower. The restaurant service on Friday was very good but sadly not the same could be said about Saturday evening. It was a complete shambles and the gentleman in charge just kept making jokes and poor excuses. At the end of the evening when we went to bed at 11.15 he was sitting at the bar drinking with 'mates'. If it wasn't for Izzy working so hard it would have been a disaster

Absolutely Everything! One word EXCELLENT!!! Highly recommended situated in a quiet village, although about 15 mins away the motorway. The staff were all friendly and nothing was too much trouble and very accommodating. The food was excellent and not badly priced either. The room as well the main restaurant was spotless, we had dogs with us and they accommodated us with a room near the exit door to allow us to sort dogs out without making too much noise. Overall very clean throughout and supplied fresh towels etc on a daily basis without asking. We cannot rate the Cricketers Arms highly enough. Highly recommended and will be going back again in the near future.

When we arrived...found a few ants on the table in room where tea/ coffee were and one wandering on the bed...reported this next morning). Along with a pair of used plastic gloves,air freshener spray lying on the bed and a jumper with plastic wrapping on the chair!!? Took to the bar but no one around so left in office at end of the bar. Could do with blackout curtain or blind as our room overlooked courtyard/ beer garden and a large white light was on all night which disturbed our sleep😕

Pretty village location. Nice clean room. Good food in the restaurant and very friendly staff. Big comfy bed. Plenty of parking. Good value for the price. Sits on a lovely village green with cricket pitch opposite. The wedding disco, though loud, stopped promptly at 11pm. Nice cooked breakfast.

We weren’t informed that there was a wedding on the night of our stay which took over most of the pub and the dance floor was outside our bedroom window. Luckily most of our group were out later than the wedding disco ended which did stop at 11pm.

Stayed here before and it's always good. This time ate in restuarant for first time. Dinner was excellent. Breakfast also superb with loads of choice and great cooked breakfasts too. Host is great and nothing is too much trouble. Room has everything you would need and nice comfy bed. It's a lovely quiet spot over looking the cricket field.

Interesting older building. So dont expect high gloss glass impersonal building. Its more interesting. Very warm welcome from Jacob on arrival, he explained breakfast times, bar times, etc. Room was large, as was the bed and bathroom.Bed comfortable, had a good night's sleep. Shower powerful and hot. Nice shampoos provided. Good quality tea and coffee provided to drink in the room. Breakfast great with a good selection to choose from, good quality local ingredients. Location perfect for our purpose and price was good. Would definitely return. .

If im really picky, as an older building, there is the odd drip on the shower, the odd crack tile, but these didn't affect our stay. As I said we would return

Very nice looking place to stay. Nothing to posh but clean and practical with amazing vibe, amazing restaurant and so nice people. The food was great as well as craft beers and personal was very friendly and professional

There is nothing I would change. Maybe the Bathroom need a little it of refreshment but that is something you can expect in traditional accomodation like this. But all was clean and well maintained

The manager and his staff were amazing. He made us feel like royalty....including the dog. The warmest, friendliest, genuine welcome, and at every meeting. Attentive staff, without being overbearing. Food was amazing. Had dinner and breakfast. Location....we want to live in that village! Perfect! We've stayed in many hotels, and I've worked in the industry. The manager (really embarrassed we didn't get hus name) is the best of everything ....worth a visit jyst to meet him!

The location was lovely the staff were great, very polite and friendly the room and the decor was beautiful.

The bathroom was tiny and very tired, the shower was just a dribble, but we didn't complain because we were only stayed one night for a wedding. The breakfast was lovely but we would have preferred a pot of coffee or tea. The coffee bags didn't work for me. There was no marmalade, only cheap bread for toast. My husband ordered salmon & eggs on toast but there was no avocado as shown on the menu. We enjoyed it, but you did ask 😊

the breakfast was really nice and the room was spacious. Bed was comfortable and clean and the bathroom I had was very big. The place is located right next to a pub, so convenient if you ever wanted to grab a drink or some food.

The location was isolated so you definetly need a car to get there. Also the TV didnt have good quality and was always phasing out. Also, the room was on the groun level, so had to close the curtains during the day time to avoid guesses looking into the room.
