Great and homely hotel. Wonderful breakfast and a lovely fireplace too! I'd definitely go back.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE LUIB We managed to book a room at the Luib Hotel very last minute on Thursday 23rd May 2024. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we stepped into the Hotel. The hosts were lovely. The hotel itself is very clean, rooms were spotless and had all the essentials. Being a smaller hotel it was quiet and peaceful and in beautiful settings as well. Our dinner was very tasty with all fresh ingredients. Would highly recommend the pork tenderloin. absolutely gorgeous. We will definitely be back Thank you for a wonderful stay x

There were no negatives.

A very cozy hotel with a friendly attitude of the owners. The hotel has a very pleasant Scottish "vibe" and a well-stocked bar (not only with whisky). In addition, the next day they helped us solve the problem with the car tyre.

It can be seen that the equipment has had some use, but it's only small things like a loose toilet paper holder, or a missing seal at the shower door. Everything was functional, and that's the main thing.

This is my personal dislike, no prices on display for food or drink, too quick on doing a tab for the night eating and drinking, then you very quickly forget just how much you have spent, the card reader is hit and miss because of poor WiFi, and yes it's out in the sticks, but please display the prices fir customers. So if I were to go again I would take cash. But overall we loved our stay, food was excellent, breakfast is Scottish only but was brilliantly cooked. Thank you. Managed to say bye to Jamie, but missed the owner as he wasn't about when we left, so a big thank you to you 😊

The space was clean and the staff very welcoming. Having breakfast and dinner in the pub downstairs felt like being in a nice cosy living room with a bar! Two of us couldn't eat the full Scottish breakfast and they offered an alternative with toasts and jam that was really nice. Overall it's a nice place where to spend the night and have a meal and a chat if you're in the mood.

The only thing that took us by surprise was that dinner can be paid only in cash, so we had to run to the ATM in Kintail (10 mins drive) to get it. Not a massive problem at all, it's just if we had known before, we would have arrived there prepared as we were traveling all day.

Traditional accommodation, the hosts were very nice and welcoming. Food was great and so were the drinks, plenty of choice of whisky. If you have time the host can sort/recommend some activities to do while around and if you are into fishing he owns a large property of a river and can sell you a license to fish in it and give recommendations. I will be back one day foe that

Nothing. Some people might think the building and decoration is outdated but it is it's charm and what makes it traditional. I wouldn't want it different and wouldn't change it. The food menu in the pub doesn't have any prices nor there is a price on the drinks you can see without asking.

We have loved to stay in the Luib hotel!! Warm and friendly family owners, with nice xat to learn more about the Scottish culture. The room was perfect for 4 people with a spacious bathroom. You can have dinner in the same hotel, which we recommend as it is homemade and very good. Traditional Scottish breakfast, which we liked it very much. The views are great and the area is calm and peaceful. The hotel has a nice and spacious parking, very convenient. I highly reccommed this hotel.

Nothing, everything was fine.

The staff member who greeted us upon arrival was so kind, and the accommodation was cozy, clean, and exceeded expectations for the price we paid. The bed was comfortable and the location beautiful - nothing but flowers and fields from the parking lot.

Unfortunately, the bar has wifi but this did not extend to the room. No issue for a one-night stay but could have proved tricky if staying longer.

Very old hotel with character. Small but comfortable room. Double bed was fine. Clean bathroom. TV and kettle/coffee/milk provided. Some reviewers say the decor is dated but that is part of the character of the place. If you don't like it stay at the Premier Inn. Very nice bar with log fire. Meals were simple with limited choice but perfectly adequate after a long walk. Satisfactory cooked breakfast although it would have been nice to have had a choice of cereals too. The staff were very nice and helpful. Lots of free car parking. Wifi ok in the bar

Limited choice of bottled beers and the only draught beer available was Guinness. I think this was just a seasonal issue (winter)

The friendliness of John and J and hospitality provided by them. They run an extremely efficient service. Extremely friendly and the food was lovely and freshly cooked all locally sourced. The golden girls had a great stay/ fond memories. Watch out john and J we will be back. See you next time in your Ayrshire establishment! The welsh and Scottish girls!
