Staff were very friendly. Jackie checked me in, and was very welcoming. The shower in our designated twin room wasn't working, so I was notified on arrival that we had been moved to two double rooms for no extra charge. It is true that the hotel needs updating, but this is clearly a work in progress. Good shower and radiator.

i hadn't realised that breakfast was a continental breakfast provided in a paper bag. However, many hotels do this now, so not a problem for me personally.

Staff service was absolutely brillant. Phoned in the morning to find out about local taxis - Flo was really helpful and (importantly) sounded really upbeat and cheery. When we checked in we got Steph and that was a whole new experience - what a perfect customer facing ambassador for any business. Couldn't be more helpful and professional. We had expecations of breakfast the following which she handled perfectly and offered an alternative by recommending the fabulous coffe shop further up the street. Perfectly good dinner.

Bathroom was absolutely freezing, soap dispenser empty - overall needs a a bit of TLC but we have to appreciate there is no such thing as a bottomless pit of money in any business. Nice to have a selection of tea and coffee but maybe you could check there are spoons so the hot drinks could be stirred. Maybe a good idea to have a kettle which you can fill from the tap in the sink - a full size kettle for two people really doesn't work well.

Friendly, helpful staff that made us feel welcome, and looked after us. Clean and cosy room, central location.

Bar area was functional, and not very atmospheric, food choices were limited. The staff friendliness and helpfulness was outstanding, and more than made up for the lack of atmosphere.

I travelled alone by bus through Scotland and I checked in for two nights in the Aberfoyle Inn. It is centrally located in the small beautiful village. My small, quiet room had everything I need, included a bathroom with a shower, towels, all very clean. The owner (I think he was it) takes care of everything, the atmosphere is very warm and relaxed. I had Scottish breakfast, I liked it very much. The dining room/Bar also had a lot of charm, wonderful interior, the Scotty Burger with Haggis is a culinaric dream. Finally, I was very satisfied with the stay.

The old building was of strong traditional character but the interiors were well renovated to a modern standard. double glazed windows was a plus for both warmth and external noise (although there was hardly any noise apart from mild morning traffic).

it wasn’t too easy to carry the bikes all the way to the second floor due to the second stairs being too narrow, but we managed. the entrance lobby had very strong smell of the cooked oil from the Hotel’s chippy downstairs but it wasn’t an issue on the upper floors where the rooms are. perhaps it would help if the kitchen and prep area doors remained closed..

Excellent central location for what I needed, close to car park, very peaceful room, comfy bed, lots of little extras, shampoo/shower gel, toothpaste, bottled water. Lovely clean, white towels and bedding. Lovely stay thank you.

As it turned out, I was not able to stay at Aberfoyle Inn at all. I had a medical emergency and had to go to the hospital instead! The staff were very kind and helpful. I hope to return someday and actually be able to stay there!

I do prefer it when hotels offer breakfast!

Travelling with my granddaughter for two nights for a trip cycling to Callander. Excellent welcome by the receptionist with no fuss. Beautiful large room and bathroom. Had a lovely day cycling before leaving. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for a great stay on a memorable trip for us both.
