The inside of the croft is beautifully restored and when the log burner is lit, very cosy. The host prepared an amazing and very generous breakfast and we had very good company from the couple who had been staying in the yurt.It was also very quiet.
From the photos, I thought the views from the windows would be more of the countryside rather than the road and houses opposite. The bedroom and bed felt a little cramped as we're tall people, but once we realised we could use the sitting room this didn't matter. However, the shower room really is tiny and we both found the sink awkward to use because of the placement of the mirror.

Loved the design and wood burning fire. Breakfast was delicious. Owner is a real character and is an active part of your stay. The lounge is also their own lounge and dining area. Lovely wee dog who will snuggle with you; cats around too. We stayed in the yurt the first night although we hadn’t booked it. It was an experience! Probably better in summer though☺️
The double room is small so you probably won’t spend time in there other than to sleep or perhaps read in bed. It was cosy though. The showerroom isn’t heated however and we found that chilly as we were there in winter.

We had a lovely welcome from our host and her family. We all loved the breakfast, super yummy and it was good that our host made it in front of so we knew it was nice and fresh. I was under the impression that I'd booked a deluxe triple room so was a bit surprised that when I printed out the confirmation that it was a yurt. First time for all of us in a yurt and apart from the walk to the bathroom in the main house it was a good experience.
The booking system not making us aware that it was a yurt and the feeling that our host wasn't prepared for 3 as the bed wasn't made and it seemed that although she had let us know that gluten free request for one of us was accepted it seemed it had been forgotten. I had also sent a query about the beds to our host but I did not receive a reply.

This was a very unique stay! We stayed in the yurt, with a cozy fireplace and comfortable bed. Melanie made breakfast and it was superb! Her poached egg with avocado salad is to die for!! She was very friendly and even made an early breakfast the second day because we had to leave early.
If you are staying in the yurt, the bathroom is inside the main house, not so handy when it pouring rain outside, but it is all part of the experience.

Melanie was great and very welcoming. The breakfast as per the other reviews was delicious and the bed in the Yurt was very comfy with lots of cosy bedding. Lovely books and games to entertain in the yurt!
We stayed in yurt. The sofa bed was very hard and although my daughter slept ok, I know I wouldn't have slept well on it. We were lucky enough to be able to use the bathroom of one of the rooms in the house which was much nearer that the bathroom assigned to the yurt - would have been a bit of a trek in the night if not. None of these are deal breakers though.

A lovely unique experience. Felt immediately welcomed into Melanie's home. Having a leisurely breakfast chatting around the kitchen table whilst Melanie prepared a gorgeous breakfast was a great finish to what had been a perfect week exploring some of Scotland. The house is just stunning and being made to feel really part of it rather than just another guest was really special.

The family provided us with a warm welcome, including our dog, and everything was very homely. The Croft is beautifully decorated, breakfast was a delight, and the good hot shower was appreciated after a day hill walking.
The bedroom is a little small, but that can't be helped in an old croft. On times things were a little haphazard, but that added to the charm.

A great Croft house with a welcoming host! The house is decorated with cool design elements and eye for detail. The bedroom was cosy with a very comfortable bed. In the morning we were provided with an amazing breakfast; whisky porridge and toast with avocado and a poached egg. It was a very welcoming warm experience staying here.

The space was so cozy and thoughtfully designed. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was well appointed. The owner is very warm and helpful. Breakfast was delicious! The whiskey oatmeal was like some kind of magic. And the avocado toast was fresh and hearty at the same time. Perfect fuel for a day exploring the park.
Parking was tight but not a problem. if you have a larger vehicle you may need to check with the host before hand about where you can park.

The house is beautiful, the room and the en-suite are really comfortable and well equipped. Melanie is a lovely host and the breakfast was delicious. There's two adorable cats and sweet little dog to hang out with too which is a real bonus. It's a 1 minute walk down to the loch and there's loads of nice walks and other amazing scenery nearby too.
The village is tiny and quiet, which was perfect for us, but if you're after a shop or other amenities you'll need to drive elsewhere.
