I loved the location within access to everything and that I could park the car behind the hotel. I attended a wedding and also enjoyed being at the Metagama Tattoo. Beautiful view of the Castle from hotel..

The only thing I found fault with was that my bed was rather high and it was on wheels, which I thought was unsafe.I didn't complain as my stay was only for 2 nights. Once I got into bed it was very comfortable and I slept very peacefully,and very refreshed in the morning.The room was spotlessly clean and the staff very friendly.

Lovely big rooms, with a beautiful view over the harbour and castle. The restaurants in the hotel were excellent, as were the breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful, and carried our suitcase up the stairs to our room, as there was no lift. The room was well equipped with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, shortbread and bottled water. It is an excellent hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The bathroom was dated and could do with a refurb, but it was clean, and there is very little negative that I can say about this hotel!

Bathroom was very small only a shower but facilities were in good working order Not much space to move in such a confined space This is the only real issue I can highlight.

Wonderful staff who are all very friendly and helpful, welcoming from the time you walk in the door. Room was spotless and comfortable, just what you need. Finally there are 2 restaurants in the Hotel, HS1 is simpler fare but totally delicious. Boatshed is one of the best small restaurants I have eaten in. Small and excellent choices for all tastes, fish is from across the road at harbour and meat from local butchers, veg is in season local produce. You can tell it's freshness. Overall 11/10 for me.

This hotel is really well-located. Many rooms even have views over the harbour and up to Lews Castle. The ladies at reception were lovely. Many thanks indeed for letting me change room away from the first one, which had the noisy kitchen fans outside. Breakfast was OK.

I know Stornoway isn't cheap in summer, and I only booked last minute, but almost £200 for this was a bit salty. I had no choice, but wouldn't return at these prices..... I also really can't recommend the dinner at the bistro bar. I know I just squeezed in before last orders, but that burger was only semi-edible. Mind you, black pudding in a burger's perhaps an acquired taste!

the staff were warm and friendly, accommodating us when we couldn't find anyplace open for dinner. the room was comfortable with a great view of Lews castle. Although there wasn't an elevator, one of the staff helped with our luggage. And the shower was perfect, hot and strong.

No lifts, limited parking. The food options were pretty good, not outstanding.

Lovely staff- went the extra mile to fit me in for dinner-found time to chat- very attentive. Room was lovely- modern- bed so comfortable didn’t want to get up. Little touches like tablet on plate - just wonderful. The shower was superb- can’t say that about most hotels! Would stay here every time I visit Lewis. Food wonderful too- good selection of drinks.

large room with walk in shower for my husband who had a stroke four years ago. The room had comfortable chairs at the window, the bed was very comfortable and the meal in the restaurant was lovely. Staff were all friendly and helpful.

Everything was to be recommended. The parking at the back of the hotel meant that my husband had easy access to the room.

Great staff beautiful location, very informative at reception, rooms cosy and well stocked. Best porridge I've ever had in my life - 100% recommend!!! Breakfast staff also put on a great service :) Hs1 dinner provided exceptional vegan Samosas, huge delicious strawberry daiquiris and ice cream cones to keep the wean happy. We had a lovely stay here.

The location was great. Lovely views of the water from our room. The breakfast was very good, served in the dining room downstairs. The stairs were easy to navigate and the room was very nicely done. It was a nice place to walk around outside near the water.

As with most of the places we stayed in Scotland, there was no fridge in the room.
