Breakfast superb, bed very comfortable.

When we arrived on 12th Sept, were very pleased with the location of room33, as my husband is disabled and uses a electric foldable wheelchair, to find that the distance from the end of the bed, to the wall unit. made it impossible to ride the chair into the room! the staff quickly pushed the two beds together, but it was a bad start. The heater didn't work and the staff provided a portable heater which then took up more precious floor space. There was no drawer space in the room inconvenient with a several day stop.. Also shower flooded the bathroom causing us to have to change to room 35 for the last night.

Useful hotel for overnight stay for getting to Bristol airport. Good sized room with what you would expect from Holiday Inn Express. Foyer, reception and breakfast area bright and modern with acceptable breakfast selection. Adequate parking facilties that are free at check in

Beds. A double is a double not a king sized. If you used to a king sized bed for a couple request a twin room. Also because of the location close to the M5 rooms on the front of the hotel experience some motorway noise if you are a light sleeper or disturbed by noise request a room on the back away from air con units and extractors from the breakfast area. Hate carpet on floors and the the shower cubical is weirdly high off the floor in the bathroom. Rooms could do with a little modernisation and much better lighting but if you are only there for a night it's not an issue as room,bedding and and all the facilties were clean.

Staff were very helpful. I needed help finding the train station to pick up my husband, and they were very helpful with maps and advice. The room was comfortable and well stocked. The buffet style breakfast was very good and dining area was pleasant space. I was impressed there were 3 kinds of gluten free cereal and staff toasted gluten free fresh bread for me. Scrambled eggs and beans were good - fresh and not overcooked, as can be the case i buffets. Various kinds of cooked and fresh fruit available. Only extra thing I would have liked was to have yoghurt. (I didn't ask though) We didn't realise it was possible to have an evening meal there or we would have had one I instead of going to The Harvester nearby (not recommended!). Also nice little bar in the hotel

Nothing really - perfect for a short winter stay - only slightly negative observation in room - the wall mounted air conditioner was rather old fashioned and a bit noisy/ blowing out cold air - we turned it off but if it had been a warm night that could be problem.

It was not the first time I stayed there, it is a brilliant hotel, excellent location, comfortable and clean. The rooms are quite spacious and offer a comfortable nights sleep, the best part that there are twin beds available. The breakfast is delicious and what can match a nice hot cooked breakfast, from yogurt to cereals, fruits to nuts, eggs (hmmm only poached a bit of disappointment) but the rest of the stuff is really really good. You enjoy the cosy and comfortable surroundings, Check out is easy, parking is free (but you have to enter your reg on the tablet to validate).

There is not much to dislike to be honest, a good comfortable hotel and the prices if booked early are great

Amazingly enjoyable. I checked in with welcoming staff, then the room was exceptionally clean, comfortable snd relaxing ! Just right for me to relax the night before my work meeting. I was very happy to hear that the breakfast came as part of the booking and I wasn’t charged extra. I travel to Taunton regularly and previously booked into the hotel opposite which was a disgrace ( very unclean room and dirty, bed not changed after last guest, hairs found in bed etc), hence the reason why I tried the holiday inn express. I am so impressed that I’ll be booking the holiday inn express all the time in the future whenever I need to visit Taunton again. Thank you and to all the staff! Amazing experience! 👍

Dog friendly, Staff friendly and very helpful and organized, breakfast brilliant we loved the breakfast had a full English Breakfast everyday, and good selection of cereals, naughty selection of muffin cakes and croissants jam and nutella and butter we had some of that too and healthy selection fruit, yoghurt fresh fruit orange and apple juice and selection of teas and coffees just brilliant.Beds gorgeous and fab big television remote control and good air conditioning nice tea and coffee in room.

The island you have to drive on before you get to the hotel, very large island with alot of traffic going very fast and some of the lanes on it confusing when you need to turn off not a pleasant experience, think its to do with the volume of traffic on it and size of the island.

The room was quiet, well set up, spacious with plenty of work surfaces for putting out all my 'stuff'. Plenty of space for my dog's bed. Very clean and in good condition. Safe and secure room which made me as a solo traveller feel safe.

I found the toilet paper was very inferior quality which was a great disappointment. If I visited again, I would bring my own! Also the room was incredibly cold with no visible sign of a heater. There was an air conditioning unit but despite checking it out, this only blew cold air!

This was our first stay away in a hotel for 8 years. We were surprised and delighted by how great the hotel was. The room was the right size with a comfortable bed and plenty of space for luggage and our dog’s bedding and crate. He loved his stay as well and settled straight away. The breakfasts were so good with plenty of variety. As we checked out we booked another stay for the future. Many thanks to Sasha and all the staff both seen and unseen who made this such a great holiday.

Overall very pleasant, room was neat, bathroom spacious, breakfast was nice and had calories indicated on each item which was very considerate.

Room was slightly too small for us, we had myself my wife our daughter and infant son, if it has just been 3 of us the space would of been ample, but because we used their travel cot things got a little tight. But we still had room to move. Also not really the hotels fault, but the address provided sent me down the road to a different unit on Google maps.

Good location, nice sized room, generally clean apart from the toothpaste from last occupants. You get a settee, and a t.v. breakfast included

Breakfast could do with a tray, you end up doing multiple journeys, and it would be nice to have an option for a pot of tea, not single mugs, you'd use less tea bags as well. We got in exhausted on the first day and had the complimentary coffee, which was never replaced, admittedly we didn't ask. And the bin wasn't emptied until the day before we left.
