Beautiful Victorian property very modern fresh and bright interior, our room was lovely really clean and comfortable which was fantastic also had a door onto the garden and patio area which was beautiful and well maintained which was unexpected but appreciated, Steve welcomed us at the door and introduced himself couldn’t do enough for us, I asked if there was anywhere to store my injections and he fetched me a little fridge for our room that was very considerate,he also gave us info of what was on in the town and places to visit which we was lucky the Air show was on amazing!! Breakfast was lovely both mornings which was cooked by Wendy it was very fresh and good produce variety of food for you to choose from also the fresh yogurt and fruit was beautiful. We will definitely be staying there again and will highly recommend The Berburry to everyone thanks again Steve and Wendy for making our stay wonderful look forward to our next visit

can’t fault it

The Berburry Hotel Torquay September 2024 Wendy & Steve who run the hotel were exceptional hosts, they made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble, breakfast was amazing, the rooms were lovely & clean & a good size, the garden with seating outside was lovely & you could tell it was well looked after. The homemade cake (made by Wendy) for guests to help themselves to was an added bonus & tasted lovely. I would certainly recommend the Berburry Hotel to anyone wishing to visit Torquay. Thank you to you both for making our first visit to Torquay a pleasurable experience, it certainly won't be our last visit.

There was nothing to dislike

Wendy and Steve are the most friendliest hosts we have come across.Hotel was spotless,beds were really comfortable, lovely clean bathroom and shower. Breakfast, cooked by Steve, was huge, and a good selection of continental. Lovely area outside our room which lead into the garden with places to sit in the sun. Every day you could help yourselves to complimentary bottled water and cold milk for your room. Wendy provided fresh cake on a daily basis to sample anytime of the day. My husband made sure he sampled every one. Wendy recommended their local. Helston Manor, food was excellent A nice walk through the grounds of Torre Abbey to get to Torquay beach and town. Can't fault anything

The Berburry is well positioned in a very nice part of Torquay and within a relaxing walk to the Bay Area, shopping and restaurants. It’s a very well presented hotel, lovely rooms with beautiful white bedding & towels, beds very comfortable too. Breakfast dining room is also immaculately maintained and is a very pleasant and relaxing environment to start the day with a great selection of quality foods on offer.

It is hard to fault this property, the only minor things would be that the water pressure was a little low, and that car parking could be a little tight for the inexperienced driver, other than this I couldn’t fault the Berburry.

Absolutely spotless hotel, the whole hotel was immaculate, the rooms were pristine 1000% will return to the BERBURRY, our host Wendy and Steve and Ashley were incredibly welcoming, The breakfast was fantastic, fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, fruit juice, tea ,coffee, and a choice of breakfasts from full English (which was outstanding in taste and quality and amount) all with table service on crisp white tablecloths, cloth napkins, all matching tableware and cutlery, an incredible place to stay and can't wait to return again soon, THE whole experience was amazing, we loved it, forget the rest THE BERBURRY HOTEL is the BEST

Me and my daughter booked a last minute break at The Berburry for two nights. The room was really nice and exactly like the photo on the website. The bathroom was a good size and extremely clean. The breakfast choice was excellent, had a fried breakfast the first day and a bacon roll the second day. Both excellent with good quality ingredients. Also tried the yoghurt and fruit salad. Loved the fridge with the bottled water and fresh milk also sampled Wendy’s brownies and lemon drizzle cake which were very good and complimentary. The hotel is located a short walk from the town centre with everything on your doorstep. Had a lovely relaxing break. Wendy and Steve were very welcoming and helpful during our stay.

Everything was brilliant

Wendy @ Steve are the most friendly @ perfect hosts, nothing was ever to much trouble. The food was excellent in both taste @ presentation. Our room was large @ spacious with a very comfortable bed, @ the en-suite was also spacious @ cleaned throughly daily. We would recommend The Berburry Hotel to anyone wanting accommodation in Torquay. Its 5 star. Malcolm @ Marlene

It was excellent.

Location was excellent a ten minute walk from the front/restaurants but far enough away so it wasn’t noisy. The room was spotless and well equipped. The bed was so comfortable. I loved the bar area, with background music and a few games and books to look at I chilled in here both evenings during my stay. Great selection in the bar itself. Wendy and Steve were fantastic and the breakfast was positively the best cooked breakfast I’ve ever had!! I didn’t want to come home!!

Nothing really!!

Such a lovely 3 day stay we had for our uk Honeymoon , it has a home from home feeling, the owners were lovely & friendly. The cosy room we had was freshly decorated to a high standard, large bathroom with shower toilet & sink. The Bar works as an honesty bar, write in the book what you drink and pay on checkout ! We liked the fact that every day there is complimentary fresh milk & bottled water in the dining room, but also complimentary freshly baked cakes which are some of the best I’ve tasted! We have no complaints!

From the time we arrived we had a wonderful homely welcome from Steve and Wendy.We were shown around the hotel and the facilities were just what we wanted during our stay.We looked forward to our full English breakfast every morning, prepared by Wendy and served up by Steve.We experienced a very relaxed stay and Steve and Wendy were excellent hosts.We highly recomend the Burbury as a place to stay for anyone visiting Torquay.

There was no reason to dislike anything about our stay and the service we received from our hosts. We left with that "Feel good factor" that an enjoyable stay results in happy memories and friendships made,Excellent
