The cottage was beautiful, comfortable bed, noisy traffic from the trains, however that can't be helped. We would definitely stay again.

Accommodation was great, the let down was the evening meal. We booked a dome for my husbands birthday, it was very busy but we had to ask for one of our meals three times whilst the other meal had already arrived and was almost finished. Afterwards, I ordered a drink and after (again) waiting 20 minutes, my husband asked again. Eventually I just cancelled the additional drink. I feel as though you are forgotten when you are eating in a dome. Would definitely stay again, but we wouldn't eat in the adjoining pub.

The staff were very friendly and attentive. The room was very nicely decorated. The gigantic bed and pillows were comfy. It was dog friendly even though we didn't bring one.The Dragon pub served festive food with generous portions, all beautifully presented. Even though I had a small problem with dinner, it was quickly dealt with, and the lady staff member noticed and was extremely helpful without me having to say anymore. Breakfast was also well presented and tasty. Situated by the canal easily accessible for a nice walk. The Dragon gastro pub has been thoughtfully extended throughout time. They were a number of different seating areas as well as three igloo pods at the front and a conservatory outside with canal views

We liked it all, but perhaps an end glass shower panel could be added to stop the water splashing the wall .

Lovely place to stay, comfortable room with a great bathroom, free WiFi, and the Dragon nearby does brilliant food so you don't have to go far.

I didn't realise when I booked that the house was right on the road, so occasionally a little noisy, and if you're in Room 2 the view out of your window will be people walking past on the pavement right outside - so if you're just chilling out wanting privacy then you have to have the curtains closed, which is a shame not to be able to let any daylight in. There are other places you could book nearby that would be much more in tune with it being so close to the National Forest, but the price for the place was really good.

A lovely spacious room, well equipped and luxuriously decorated. Great shower, nice size bathroom.

The bathroom underfloor heating and the towel rail didn't work, so the bathroom was cold. There was something that looked like mould at the end of the shower unit. The housekeeping hadn't been done well, there was a half eaten packet of biscuits in the tray. It made us wonder what other shortcuts they take - for example, are they washing the bedclothes and towels each time? Perhaps they are, and perhaps they aren't, and we'll never know.

wonderful location. Clean and stylish.

Parking. A really awkward pub carpark. everyone seemed to be having difficulty getting in and out of parking spaces. chose to park in free carpark across room as certain car would be pranged in pub carpark

We booked a 1-bed cottage and a double room. The cottage was fantastic and well furnished as was the double bedroom. Some nice touches like tea tray and complimentary drinks voucher. Very comfortable beds and exceptionally clean. Cottage was dog friendly and treats and blankets were left for the dogs. Nice little log burner although it wasn't cold enough to need to light it. We were allowed to stay in the cottage until midday which was very useful.

Bedroom was room 6. Sound proofing and shock proofing were non-existent. I think it was above the kitchen so on Sunday morning at 7am we were woken by doors banging which actually made the bed shake! This continued for the next 2 hours. When next door guests awoke we could clearly hear their conversation and when one of them coughed I thought he was in the room with us! I don't suppose there is much that can be done but maybe this should be considered with the new rooms being built. We ate in the restaurant in the evening (4 of us). Restaurant was dog friendly too. We had 2 good meals and 2 not so good. Staff were very friendly and attentive though.

Great location, lovely walks with your dog. Lovely outdoor dining overlooking the canal. Staff very friendly, food good. The Dragon pub is lovely inside too with some pretty lighting. The room was clean & big enough for our large dog, comfy bed & the shower was good.

The walk to our room was very scruffy, there was a gazebo up to help cover it but it didn’t look very appealing, was really untidy. Would have preferred a ground floor room having a dog with us. Just minor issues really, it was still a lovely pub.

We stayed in one of the new rooms, it was absolutely beautiful, had everything we needed! Lovely little touches. The pub was also great and the food was amazing.

The main door to the room has a small diamond in the door window which you can see out of and in to the room, we used a small jacket to trap in the door. It’s brand new and I guess it’s just been overlooked, told the lady on reception who said she would report it. But other than we couldn’t fault it.

great location, good amenities, very cosy Bar/restaurant- good selection of drinks and nice staff. only had breakfast and it was fantastic

few things let it down; the windows need some privacy - back door definitely needs a curtain of some sort as dog walkers literally 2-3 feet away can see straight in. front window has postman and residents walking past- again no privacy. No toiletries as advertised. Ants in the lounge Floor on the bedroom very uneven - big hole under the carpet that was dangerous. Not the weather for us to sit outside but would be nice if some furniture there in the summer.

The room was very comfortable and well presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is gluten free beer on tap, which was great for me and the pub was lovely and cosy.

The breakfast was too expensive (we paid around £40 each morning we dined) and for the that cost you would expect something phenomenal, which wasn't the case (the tea, came luke warm, instead of hot for instance).
