Quick access to universal studios about 1 min drive. spacious room, really nice if you’re rooming with family!

Parking was a little weird, they also charge $30 for parking . they have longer parking spots and you have to leave your keys at the front desk if you’re blocking another car. which is a little inconvenient when you wanna go to your car and the front desk is checking people in, you have to wait to get your keys.

My family and I stayed over the holiday (12 days) holiday break. We drove from Portland Or. The room was big enough for all of us. The "living room" area was perfect for my boys to watch cartoons and have breakfast, while my daughters did their thing and got ready for the day. We were there for nearly 2 weeks, the staff were friendly and helpful, and had new supplies for us anytime we we asked. The proximity to Universal Studios was also wonderful. A short walk to the shuttle (maybe 10 min at most waiting on walk signs to cross the street) meant we didn't have to move our car if we didn't want to. There's a grocery store less than a 2 min drive from the hotel. You're near several food options, from breakfast to late night. The hotel is on Ventura right next to Highway 101, which made it easy to venture to other parts of the city. Most drives around town only took about 20 min, if there wasn't any heavy traffic. It was a great stay. Things the hotel has that we didn't use: *bar *barber *pool (the kids attempted, but the water was too cold)

The least favorite thing about our stay was the parking situation, and that's only because the parking lot is under the hotel and two cars deep. You have to leave your keys at the desk if you park in front of someone so they can move your vehicle if you're blocking someone in. Honestly, it was just more of an inconvenience than a dislike. Just plan ahead, and it will be great!

BLVD has nice and roomy suites with plenty of space to provide a comfortable stay. We stayed for a few days and the parking costs were a little high but I guess that is to be expected in this area. The close proximity to Universal Studios and access to 101 North and 101 South made it a very convenient location for our purposes. The staff was friendly.

When I booked this room several weeks in advance, I did hope to have a view from our suite window as stated in advertisement listings at the time of booking. Our large shuttered windows instead had a view of a brick wall. That’s it. The “pillows” were thin, unstuffed, and very uncomfortable. Those should definitely be upgraded for some real pillows and the sleep would have likely been a lot better. These reasons are definitely not significant enough to complain though, as overall, the place suited our purposes nicely.

Parking spaces were great, inside the premises. It didn't rain but it would have been helpful if it did to have the car there. The rooms are big, the bed was confortable as well as the couch. The bathroom was also big, cool shower with nice products and many towels. Very well equipped with small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, tv, and many desk and standing lamps with plugs.

They are renovating so the first room that was provided smelled like cigar and something moldy but they quickly assigned us a new one. The microwave and tv are a bit outdated.

Location is excellent, parking lot is a plus, staff is very friendly and willing to help always. Neighborhood is very good with a lot of places to eat and shop around. Walking distance to Universal Studios is short, about 7 minutes to the park shuttle.

Room lighting could be improved. Room service personnel could be informed about how many guest are in the rooms so they can leave the correct amount of towels and supplies. A complimentary breakfast could be a plus plus.

The property was in an excellent location for what we were staying at this hotel for. The room was nice and I did enjoy the fact that they had garage parking. I’d also like to put a shoutout to Nancy who checked us in and served at the bar. She definitely went above and beyond and is exceptional with making sure her customers are satisfied. Would definitely stay here again.

The bed was a little too firm but was not a break it or make it for me. Was still an excellent stay.

Excellent location to Universal Studios- 5 minute walk, and to the Train station same 5 minute walk. Room was very spacious and perfect for 4 adults.

Front office staff weren't very friendly or helpful. We didn't get given face cloths in bathroom so asked at front desk, first lady said they were out and second time another lady said she was new and didn't know what they were. She didn't even attempt to look in the cupboards or ask someone or even take our room number so she could ask another staff member later. Nobody seemed to care that they are supposed to be in customer service and work where there are tourists who need assistance. More training needs to be given.. and this is really for the whole state not just this hotel.

Good housekeeping on sheets and linen, the staff that we interacted with was very nice. Nice to have a little kitchenette. Open, spacious, modern design with comfy beds & LOTS of fluffy pillows. Location quick 10 minute walk to the shuttle that takes you uphill to the CityWalk which is then another 5-10 minute walk (depending on crowd; we went Thanksgiving weekend so very crowded) to the security.

Looked like black mold growing in the corner & in the grout of the bathroom, the shower drained too slow so we stood in 3 inches of water. Although convenient walking time to the Universal Studios shuttle, the area is seedy on "that side of the highway"; I didn't feel safe without my husband & the sidewalk to cross the first side street on your way to Universal Studios didn't have a ramp & the sidewalk was REALLY high off the ground so he had to lift the stroller. Once you cross uber the highway, it's nice sidewalks, well-lit streets, ramps at crosswalks and overall a safer feeling. Bizarre how 2 sides of a highway are drastically different.

Room was a really good size, plenty of space, a whole separate area with a sofa and dressing table which was perfect, the bathroom was a fantastic size and the shower was really big aswel. Staff were great when checking in and out, super friendly, they stored our cases on our final day until we got picked up and they were kept in a locked office which was great. The location of the hotel is perfect if you're heading to Universal Studios like we did, literally a 10/15 minute walk, it is partly uphill like a couple of other reviews on here have mentioned, but there is the Universal tram that picks up from the bottom of the hill to take you up to the entrance if you don't want to walk it, you may just be waiting a short while for it.

Only real downside to this hotel was the area it's located, honestly it was a little scary walking back to the hotel in the evening once it'd gone dark, but I fully get this isn't something the hotel has control over! For the price we paid I feel like we really can't complain, it was such good value for money. But purely down to the location we'd probably pay abit more and stay next door to Universal next time, just so we don't have the do that walk back in the dark.

Perfect location for a trip to Universal Studios Hollywood, just 10mins to the free shuttle (or 20mins to the theme park gates), also very close to the red metro line if you want to explore more of LA itself. Room was spacious and clean, decent coffee maker, microwave and fridge were provided and all worked perfectly. Surprisingly quiet room given how close the hotel is to a busy road, we would happily stay here again when we go back to visit Universal!

Hotel is undergoing renovation at the minute so some of the decor was a bit unfinished and the door chain in our room was broken but we felt very safe so it didn't bother us!
