At first I was skeptical on booking because the hotel had no reviews anywhere. I can be honest to say the outside looked questionable as well. Before arriving I went to target and bought my own towels, alcohol and Clorox wipes! I wa just prepared for the worse. I then saw after saw a few pictured of the room and hotel and thought it wouldn't be so bad. You might be thinking why would I still take the risk and go there but it was last minute booking and I wanted to stay near to my family. The customer service began the second I booked. I booked at 8PM and right after booking I received a message requesting my arrival time. Once. I arrived around midnight, I was happy to see that the doors were locked and that I had to ring a bell for entrance. Checking in was a breeze. I was given a room on the first floor, which I didn't care for but didn't mind after my stay. Once I got in the room, I was happy to see that it looked just like the photos! I started spraying the sheets with alcohol, wiping the counters down with the Clorox wipes and the bathroom. All to see that the the wipes were still white, which means to me that they passed the clean test. 15 minutes in, the room phone rang. To my surprise, it was a welcome call from the front desk. The woman who checked us in asked if I needed anything and if everything with the room was okay. I absolutely loved the check in because I in fact needed something. Only thing I wanted the morning was coffee, in which they explained that they had just opened.I gave them grace on what they did not have because I know they would eventually get it. This hotel did right by me and is perfect for anyone who needs somewhere to stay for a few nights. I am looking forward to when things are done completely but I say book. The customer service and cleanliness did not disappoint. Thank you Hotel Rubra for having me.

The room was big with a comfortable bed, the coffee machine was great in reception, the reception staff were friendly and helpful, the shower was powerful and it’s in the perfect location right next to the Hollywood walk of fame! Very easy access to the metro aswell.

The floor seemed to be a bit dirty even after housekeeping attended and we still haven’t received our deposit back from a month ago. This isn’t aimed at the hotel but thought it worth mentioning that the area of this hotel in Hollywood is FULL of homeless, litter and smells of urine. There was a tent right outside the hotel during our stay. Not very comfortable walking round late at night!

Everything was very good from check in to check out. All staff that we dealt with were very helpful and the location was just amazing. Very quiet at night even though is so close to everything. Walking to public transport was also great, 5 minutes away. The room was spotless and our 4 night stay was made even better as we had the room cleaned after 2 days, all bedlinen and towels were changed. Exceptional, would definitely recommend and will use again if I go back to Hollywood.

Location!! 5-minute walk to hollywood blvd but still in a quiet area. I also love the free coffee and tea all day.

No elevator, its only 2 floors but if you have lots of luggage it can be a challenge. Also, expensive rate for parking. They have limited parking at the back so you still have to pay even if you booked a room here.

Great location really close to the main touristic area and the Dolby Theater. Quiet street, very new hotel recently renovated. Rooms were spacious and well-maintained. Staff was friendly, coffee was free in the morning, no restaurant of breakfast.

everything was OK, parking was not included but we didn't have too much troubles finding street parking.

You can’t tell from the exterior but, this is a hidden gem in Hollywood. The interior design had a perfect motif and the room was perfect with just the right accents…. Definitely a place worth staying.

There is an incidental room deposit. This place was nice, upscale and modern. I equate room deposits to cheap motels in bad neighborhoods.

The location was superb. The hotel was so nice and comfortable. Good size room and bathroom. Everything seemed newly renovated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were super friendly. This was definitely the best hotel to stay

Very close walking proximity to Hollywood Blvd. tours, walk of fame, Chinese Theater, restaurants, etc., as well as Sunset Blvd. Fridge in room. Offered a bottle of water to each guest upon check-in. Room a descent size.

No clock in room. Was there coffee anywhere on premises for guests? No coffee maker in rooms.

Location right next to Walk of Fame. Plenty of restaurants and centre of everything. Very courteous and helpful staff. Clean room. Smart TV was an added bonus.

Well....nothing much. There is no elevator but there are only 2 floors so its not a deal breaker.

Located within walking distance from the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre, El Capitan, etc. Clean and comfy room. Friendly staff. Great value.
