This hotel is in a fab location. There were so many options of areas to stay but this is right on the edge of china town and north beach (little Italy) and really walkable to lots of sights such as Fisherman’s wharf, pier 39, Coit tower, union square to name a few. Room was spotless and large, cleaned every day. Great hot shower. One of the best things though is the staff. Special thanks go to Wes and Jen who made us feel so welcome and were incredibly friendly and helpful, with recommendations of places to eat and visit. We would stay here every time we visited, can’t recommend highly enough.

Location was central to most of what we wanted to see. Easily walkable and the hotel felt safe and secure. Staff was attentive and room was spotless. We had an interior room and it was surprisingly quiet. Housekeeping was wonderful and replaced our toiletries and towels every day.

Nothing wrong with the hotel, it was perfect. The area can feel a little sketchy on certain streets at night, but the immediate surrounding area was fine. Would've been nice to have a food option at the hotel, but there are so many restaurants nearby. No coffee or tea available in the room or onsite, but a lovely coffee shop a block away.

The hotel is situated adjacent to Chinatown, which makes it a perfect stepping off point to enjoy all that neighborhood has to offer. Additionally, it is a moderate twenty minute stroll to Fisherman's Wharf, another San Francisco landmark. The room is well appointed with (just about) everything you need. The whole property has an understated elegance to it with a distinct Chinese vibe.

The bed was the only real disappointment. It was very hard and uncomfortable. Luckily, we were too tired to complain about it. The room did not have a microwave of coffee maker, which would have been nice.

The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect. Right on the border between North Beach, Broadway, and Chinatown. Lots and lots to do all within ten minutes walking distance!

The street noise from Broadway can be overwhelming at times. After one night in a room facing Broadway we asked for and got a room which faced the interior courtyard of the hotel. Be sure to request a room which does not face either Grant Avenue nor Broadway; they are the quietest.

We did not use the parking option. However: -safe & convenient location in Chinatown -clean hotel (nice lobby) -somehow, we never had to wait for the elevator from the lobby or the fourth floor (it was quick and just there waiting for us it seemed) -cheapest room in SF with its own bathroom -writing desk with note pad -closet with iron & ironing board -armchair & nightstand -AC was COLD -shower water was HOT -TV armoire with mini fridge -soap & shampoo smelled really good (brought them back with us) -optional anti-slip mat in the bathroom, if needed (rolled up under the sink) -perfect amount of towels + extra toilet paper -ice bucket provided -bed was firm (a little too firm for my liking, but I was exhausted from all the walking anyway and knocked out fast) -extra blanket in the armoire

The only con would be the fridge was a little stinky and not cold. but it was fine, we didn’t have a reason to use the fridge anyway. I’m sure if we did, we probably could have asked the front desk person to see about switching it out. We saw two different staff members during our weekend stay, and they were both very helpful.

Excellent location at intersection of North Beach and Chinatown, an easy walk to the waterfront, marina and ferry building. Perfect spot also to catch a ride to the GGB and Marin. The staff is minimal but very kind. Rooms dated, but very clean and not cramped. Walk out the door and there are tons of restaurant and cafe options though the area still hasn’t regained its pre-Covid vibrancy.

The facility is clean, rooms are roomy, but very dated and virtually no amenities. It’s just a place to sleep, but it’s comfortable, rooms in the back are very quiet.

Great location, very quiet and clean hotel inside, such a relief from the hustle and bustle of Chinatown. Very secure hotel. Very close to restaurants and a small grocery store in Chinatown. The room was a good size. It was also way cheaper than most hotels close to the Moscone convention center, it is about a 25 minute walk and the walk is safe (I walk along Kearny st. to 3rd st. to get to the convention center). The elevator goes to the 4th floor quick! The bed is on the firm side but I find it comfortable. Staff is super awesome and friendly.

The walls are very thin and you can clearly hear and understand your next-door neighbor. (I don't mind it because I sleep easy). You can also hear the elevator dings if your room is close to the elevator. Reviews mentioned there was no coffee maker or hot water for beverages, or a microwave, but I don't mind that. Also, don't shower with your bathroom door open because your fire alarm will go off because of the steam lol

Without a doubt the cleanest building I’ve ever set foot in, period. Absolutely nothing has been updated since 1994, so it was like a perfectly pristine time capsule. Im sure some people dislike the aesthetic, but I thought it was charming. It was quiet, staff were very kind, professional and responsive, and everything was fastidiously maintained, from the baseboards to the shower head. They even have their own PARKING. In SF! Amazing.

The only thing that comes to mind is the bed. Comfortable, but the frame might be the loudest in existence. Simply sitting on it gave me anxiety, it was so loud!

Way better than I expected! This was the only reasonable-ish hotel I could find when everything else in town was booked. I was worried it was going to be run-down, dirty, maybe infested, in poor repair, etc. I was wrong! While the hotel is clearly somewhat old, it's been cared for _very_ well. The furnishings are in perfect condition. Everything worked great. The A/C was nice when many SF hotels don't have it. I'll probably seek this place out next time I'm in town.

The staff are super nice and super healpful. Hotel is quiet, no noise from outside or other rooms, great forsleeping. Room has both air conditioning and heater. Room is always clean. I can tell because i sneeze when im in a room where the carpet is not clean. Hotel entrance have two doors for safety

The streets have clubs around, but is still generally peaceful.
