Breakfast selections were plentiful considering this is a budget-friendly motel. Grab a seat at one of the outdoor tables with umbrellas for a peaceful meal on a sunny day. This family-run motel is located in a quiet residential area near the edge of town. Our room had nearly everything we needed.

The drain stopper in our sink wasn't functioning properly, but the front desk person came and solved the problem right away. Evidence showed someone let their dog defecate in the driveway without disposing of it properly. This at a motel that offers a nice, fenced-in space for dog walking and, presumably, dog pooping.

Convenient location, conscientious hosts, “backyard oasis” of trees and pool, good room a/c even on hot days, many outside stairs seem to have been graded into ramping paths (occasionally steep) for ease of rolling suitcases or baby carriages & no surprise steps to cause falls when carrying things. Complimentary breakfast is appreciated! Clean, safe! Well lit at night. The upgraded rooms - wow! Two weeks ago I stayed in a serviceable, efficient king bed room with great parking lot access but no elbow room; this trip I stayed in an upgraded king bed “suite” with all the desired amenities: small kitchenette (small fridge, mw, bar sink, even a two burner stove which I did not use); ample “closet” space, even an iron & ironing board; desk; table with 2 chairs; an “easy chair”. So comfortable I regretted having to leave!

Not keen on the scent of the disinfectant or cleaner used. I am sensitive to smells. I opened my window at night when weather/temp permitted and bought an air freshener and all was well. On-site laundry is convenient but pricey (I think $3/load).

It was dark when I reserved the room. I must say, the room was only a short short distance from the parking area I was in. That was great! The outside was well lit, that was fantastic! I didn’t know where I was, just finding somewhere to stay mid travel. The price was exceptional, in comparison to the last place I stayed in April. The summer rates sky rocketed, leaving me no choice but to stay elsewhere. I’m glad I found cedar inn, the gentleman behind the counter was very nice and helpful, courteous, and offered service with a smile. I didn’t get his name unfortunately. The landscaping was very nice. It’s an older building, but kept up to date so it was comfortable. There were two doors, for entrance, one that lead to the parking lot, and one that leads to the pool. The breakfast was delicious, waffles, bagels, sausage and egg sandwich, cereal, fruit, it was enough. I will make it my stopover for my future trips. I was very pleased.

Pet friendly hotels in my opinion, should have an area for potty. There may have been an area, but I didn’t want to venture out by myself too far to look, it was dark and I didn’t know the area, but my little dogs found their trees so it was fine. I was just there overnight, so I didn’t have a chance to see the whole property. What I saw was fine to me

Room was large, spotlessly clean, bed comfortable and windows had shades along with blackout curtains so I could get privacy during the day without darkness! The young guy at check-in was exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Shower water was hot and pressure fine. I could hear people above me but that's expected in a motel. There are a couple of decent restaurant options in walking distance too. I had a bicycle with me and there was plenty of space in my room for it.

Biggest annoyance is that breakfast (which was mostly sugar/carbs anyway) isn't served until 8am and office isn't open until 8am and closes at 10p. The nice guy at check-in did say they could make me a box breakfast...not sure when I'd have gotten it though, since the office also isn't open until 8am. Since ice machine is locked away in the breakfast room that means it's also unavailable when the office is closed. These hours etc must be somewhat new because the "information binder" in the room says the office is open at 7am and that ice is in a breezeway. Based on that, I spent a fair bit of time wandering around looking for it until I ran into another guest who told me where it was.

Staff were outstanding even escorting us to our room. Breakfast had lots of options from boiled eggs, breakfast sandwiches to cereal and yogurt. Nice breakfast area with tables.

All was great. I need to remember to request a room that has a shower only and grab bars for a disabled person. Bed is a little high but a small step stool will work and that’s something my mother said she would bring because she liked the facility.

We were checking in late, so I needed to ring the bell to allow me in. The individual at the front desk was absolutely lovely! The property is unique with different levels (lots of stairs), but very tidy and felt safe. I even noticed the local police would patrol the parking lots to check for anything unusual. We only stayed one night as we were traveling through, but I would certainly go back if in town and consider a longer stay to explore more.

Despite the many rooms, we really felt secure during our stay - there were lots of cameras and lights. We absolutely loved the indoor spa and could imagine coming here in the winter. The staff was also super friendly.

The breakfast was included with our stay, but we were unfortunately disappointed by it. It didn't have much variety, just a lot of sugary carbs - cereal, bagels, muffins, a waffle machine.... Not a lot to choose from if you preferred savory options (eggs, sausage, etc.) or healthy options (yogurt, fruits other than just an apple, etc.).

My room was huge and so comfortable. It had a bar area with fridge and microwave which was totally separate from the bath area, which I liked. Everything was clean. The staff was very kind. The breakfast was a nice bonus. There were 2 pools and a sauna. Lots of parking.

I had to ask for soap and toilet paper, which was weird. I also had to wait at the front desk for about 5 minutes before anyone showed up to check me in. Also, the ice machine didn't work, but there was no sign on it. You had to go to the office to get ice. Other than that, all was good.

Comfortable beds, lack of carpet so clean floors, looked / felt renovated, 3 sinks in room (double queen room), few min drive from downtown Ashland, very spacious room, breakfast was fine given room price. Room had a kitchen with 2 burners and sink that we didn't use but would've if we stayed longer!

Hard / flat pillows, strong smell of room spray in room (got better after we opened things up), hard to block exterior light out of one of the windows with the blinds (other big window had decent curtains).

The room was spacious & clean

the parking lot was a mess, there was cars with busted windows & car parts laying around as well as trash everywhere & people that seemed to be hanging in the parking lot intoxicated & it made me feel unsafe leaving my car there.
