Breakfast: The available foods for the breakfast buffet were excellent! Perfect for me, and my 13-year-old niece, both of us picky eaters. They also provided Iced Coffee on those 101 degrees days! Whew! SOOO very needed! Front Desk staff: So very friendly and helpful. My niece didn't have her iPhone charger, so they looked through their Lost & Found box & gave her one. Also - when another guest made an online Booking.com reservation at the same time as I did for the last room, the reservation person, Gaia, called me right away and rearranged the room choice.

I didn't understand the TV, but we were there for the OSF productions so that's not a big deal.

The breakfast options included yogurt and steel cut oats with multiple toppings, a variety of breads with butter or cream cheese, coffee, a variety of teas, juices, and dried cereals and fruits. The staff was exceptionally warm and friendly. The rooms are inspected after cleaning. The grand room has many sitting areas and is available for gathering to play a game or bring in food for your guests. The pool and hot tub were well cared for. Safeway is right across the street. The price was very reasonable.

I honestly have no complaints.

The air purifier/dehumidifier in the room was a nice surprise and made it feel less like the typical hotel experience. The decor of the room and building was nice and homey, sort of old world style; the bathroom was clean and spacious, and the breakfast (and breakfast area) was lovely! The staff was also pleasant and helpful. The front desk person even went up to the kitchen to get me some tea bags after I inquired if they had any in the evening. So nice!

The one thing we found odd about the room was the bed. It was a sheet, then something that was either an uncovered duvet or a plain white comforter that was very stained, and then another sheet on top of it, just sort of tucked over the comforter thing. I thing having a sheet over the duvet is a nice idea because then the top of the bed where people sit will always be washed between guests, but it’s strange that they’d leave an uncovered and stained duvet easily visible when you peel back a little of the top sheet. Seems like you could still put a nice cover on it, or just get a cleaner comforter, and continue to do the sheet on top for hygienic purposes.

The room was clean, spacious, and quiet despite there being at least a couple of boisterous groups on the same floor with us, but the surprise was breakfast. The Stratford Inn has a continental breakfast buffet that we really enjoyed. I had granola with additional walnuts, vanilla yogurt, and FRESH BLUEBERRIES (where did they get those in November?). We didn't use the pool or the Wifi, but what we experienced was all good.

Okay, I'm stretching here, but the TV channel choices, as with most places we've stayed, were numerous but unimaginative and disappointing, Happily, the bed was very comfortable (who needs TV?).

The staff at all levels was excellent! Positive, welcoming and informative. I was surprised by the showers -- open front, humid and sloppy. Maybe more of a new customer"warning" is merited? Parking was very good. I wasn't there long enough to need to use the Safeway across the street but it is VERY convenient. All in all it was a great place to stay except for the messy shower. In good weather it is a reasonable and apparently safe walk to the OSF grounds. The television remote in my room was useless. The cheap remote wasn't self explanatory and there were no instructions in the room about how to use them, and I was too tired to bug the front desk for instructions. I'm not a great fan of TV's so this wasn't a make or break issue for me. I'm a "senior citizen" so next time I'm going to ask about ADA compliant rooms before I make reservations. Please notice I said there will be a next time!

I have stayed there before a couple of times -- always excellent and comfortable. (I wish I'd had time to enjoy the pool and hot tub on this visit.) The location on the main road leading into Ashland makes it easy to find, and was perfect for my meeting just a few blocks in the other direction. With the supermarket right across the street, it's easy to pick up snacks and save a little money (so you can splurge on dinners). I've stayed there before when attending plays, and it's easy to walk or drive to the theater, with some nice restaurants along the way. I was impressed by the breakfast offerings (and by the staff who monitored the food/supplies/cleanup).

I couldn't figure out whether I could turn off the light in the coffee and microwave nook -- it probably is a safety feature, but some of us like to sleep in dark rooms.

The people of Stratford Inn are truly amazing. Such terrific care and friendliness at every turn. Breakfast was HEALTHY and DELICIOUS, with a kind person right there at all times to help you with any questions. Usually I find very few healthy choices and the words continental breakfast strikes fear in my heart, ie crappy breads and a warming pot of floating sausages, ewww. But Stratford had wonderful breads, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, perfectly cooked oatmeal, not runny, with every seed, nut, and dried fruit you could think of, available right there. They even provided almond milk, instead of just milk. Coffee was excellent, any tea I could think of right there. I left breakfast stuffed! We used the pool and hot tub. All very clean. The room and bed was perfect, shower strong. And always smiles and time for you at the front desk. Walk to everything in lovely Ashland. And the price was so reasonable!!! We'll definitely be back.

Very friendly staff, clean rooms. This is a very pet friendly property. The floor in the room were not carpeted which was great for our dog and for my allergies. The location is excellent - across the street from a grocery store, just a short walk from the downtown shops and theaters. Parking on site is easy. Breakfast was a step above the typical with fruit, cereal toppings (nuts, raisins...) and gluten free bread. We didn't use the pool and lounging area but they looked inviting. We plan to stay here again next time we are in Ashland.

Overall quite satisfied with the stay. I like that the floor was not carpet, it was more convincing like this as a clean space. It is not the newest property but everything seemed perfectly fresh, nothing was particularly tired - except for the AC unit. The lady managing the breakfast was such a lovely person, really brightened up the room. Breakfast was more than what many Inns and Motels usually offer. It is about 10 minutes from downtown Ashland. There is also parking available and a Safeway across the street. I would stay here again.

A newer AC unit would be great. It worked fine but it seemed like it impacted the air quality in the room a bit. This is not crucial but it was also a bit dark in the room (only bothered me while packing at night)

Got there at 3:55, room not ready. Was told it would be ready in a few minutes. Lobby too full, no where to sit so we waited in our car. We were. Told they would call us as soon as it was ready. Waited 40 minutes. Finally went back in as it was quite hot outside. Waited in line again. When we finally made it to the desk, the guy said oh, I forgot to call you. So, he called someone and he told us yes, the room Is ready. Checked fridge and found a half eaten box of strawberries with half consumed stems in them. Beds not great. Tv really small but it was clean and we were tired. Not sure I’d go back.
