Amazing location. Easy walk downtown or to South Philly. You're basically within a mile of everywhere you could want to go. Ben Franklin's burial site is right behind the hotel and the Liberty Bell, National Constitution Center, and Independence Hall are across the street from that. Plenty of public transportation options close by as well.

The hotel is pretty old so things can be a little loud, elevators a little slow, facilities a little outdated etc. While the hotel is in a perfect location, I'm not sure the price was really worth it. The average nightly cost was pretty high and then they charge another $40/night for parking (which is not entirely clear when booking - ready the fine print). So while it was a great location and a nice stay overall the hotel was overpriced.

We didn't eat at the hotel. We like how the security guard and the concierge give us some great places to eat and have some fun. They also told us how to get the real cheese steaks. They were both great people and fun people very funny and inviting.

I didn't like how the staff didn't listen. When we first got there we asked for extra blanket and pillows. We had to ask for this 3x. My husband has to go back downstairs at the end of the night to personal ask before they finally send them up. Then we also asked for extra towels. That we never received. Other than these two things. We had no other problems great stay and hotel.

My wife and I recently stayed at Wyndham Philadelphia, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish! A special shoutout to Que at the front desk, who was incredibly accommodating and friendly. She went above and beyond to help us with a late checkout, making our stay so much more convenient and stress-free. Another highlight of our visit was Chris, the concierge. What an absolute gem! He was funny, amiable, and full of charm, making our trip planning so much easier. He helped us craft the perfect itinerary with great recommendations tailored to our interests. Honestly, he’s the best concierge we’ve ever met—his professionalism and personality are unmatched! The hotel's location is perfect, right in the heart of Philadelphia, which made getting around super convenient. On top of that, the value for money is excellent—we got premium service and amenities without breaking the bank. Overall, Wyndham Philadelphia exceeded all our expectations, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

The location was great to be close to all the things you would want to do in the historical district of Philly. You could walk to all of it. They had parking right next door and could come and go as you pleased/ just had to get your parking ticket stamped when you came back. It was convenient and had room downtown to load and unload your cars with all your luggage. The staff was friendly as well.

The cleaning staff did not come in our room and restock anything the 2 nights we were there, such as more coffee or cups, new towels, etc. I am fine with no new sheets but we used up those items the first day. They didn’t offer a breakfast with stay and the restaurant and limited options and choices.

This hotel has a good staff overall, particularly the person who helped with the storage room for luggage. They are in a good location especially if guests want to visit places that are in the historic district. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the wifi is good. Rooms have a small fridge as well as a microwave.

Some cons were that the bathroom is very small so if you're two travellers together, then you might be bumping into each other often. The shower spray strength was not as robust as it could have been. I'm not sure why, but I was also missing a bar of hand soap. The size of the bodywash and shampoo that they provide are tiny. One of the things to also keep in mind is if you're in a room that's adjacent to another one you're going to be startled often by the loud noise that the doors make when someone opens it right next to you. A general note on the district/area to be aware of is that many places close early and that they're often closed on Tuesdays or Wednesdays so if you're going to stay mid-week, plan ahead.

Good location, everything we wanted to do was walking distance

There were 3 of us but we only had 2 towels and rags when we arrived. Couldn’t get more until the next morning. Was not a fan of the heating unit being set to auto. If we turned the heat down one degree the Ac come on. It was 50 degrees we didn’t want the AC on. I personally think 40.00 for parking is high but I guess that is normal for this area. Parking is 40.00 a day but we didn’t arrive until after 6 the day of check in and still paid 40.00.

This hotel is amazing. It is ideally situated a short distance from the Liberty Bell and the Historic Area. The bus stops are nearby which is tap and go and can take you to the art museum and rocky steps. The city centre, Reading Terminal Market, and local restaurants and bars are walkable easily from here too. We also walked to a recommended Philly Cheese Steak restaurant (Geno's) which did not disappoint! Great food, bars, hotel, great city! All the staff at the hotel were wonderful, really friendly, welcoming and informative. We arrived early, the concierge, (who was lovely) safely stored our luggage for us until we came back to check in and gave us lots of local info. We were halfway through our East Coast road trip and so the clean, working, laundry facilities were great, you could purchase washing powder there too but had to have the right change so make sure you have plenty of quarters with you. Room was lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. Anything you ran out of was brought to your room. We really felt that staff went out of their way to make our stay a great one.

There is not a thing we didn't like.

The location was perfect for checking out the old city. While expensive, having the option to park our car and exit/re-enter the garage as much as we want for a flat fee was excellent.

On the surface the room was clean enough. There were some corners in the bathroom that could’ve used some attention. But when we were about to leave we noticed one of my daughter’s socks was missing so we started hunting. I ended up looking under the beds and behind the blinds and it was clear that no one had cleaned there in a looong time. Food and toys and lots of dust. Pretty gross. But if you don’t look behind the curtain so to speak it is perfectly fine.

Room was nice. Beds were comfortable. Staff at desk and folks who cleaned the rooms were super friendly.

Kids sitting in the hall talking. COINS restaurant is way overpriced! Each night a different bar person complained about management, couldn't do the 15% discount themselves. The fact that you CANNOT USE a visa should be POSTED and NOT behind the bar but at the doorway and then SHARED with a person before ordering. If I didn't have a room at the hotel, my food/bar bill would not have been paid. I could have walked out. It took forever for the bartender to take our payment on Day 1. On Day 2 they posted it to our room.
