All staff members were friendly and helpful. We arrived earlier than check-in time but staff still took us in and showed us our room! Breakfast was basic but very much enough to start your day, it was a lot better than what I expected. You can even make your own waffle, which was fun and delicious. The room was clean, spacious and quiet. Also had a little facility room with a few gym equipment and a pools table - we didn't use it though. The location isn't difficult to get to, we bus there.

Couldn't find anything we disliked except the bus that stops right in front of the inn ends earlier than expected but the next closest bus stop is only 7mins walk away, still super convenient.

Shockingly clean. Was nervous booking last minute on our road trip, the reviews for budget (<$100/night) accommodations in Bellingham was not optimistic. Lots of complaints about safety, noise, cleanliness, and just deteriorating buildings. After searching and reading reviews for over an hour, I ended up taking a lesser risk booking here. What a relief, it paid off. No one lingering, front desk was fine, I asked for a quiet and clean room for sleep and got one in the basement which really helped with road noise. The best part is all the bathroom was fastidiously cleaned, shockingly not a spot anywhere and even the toilet was wrapped with a sanitized tape. The bedding is old and carpeting and such makes it look dated, but everything was really clean and no bugs we could find, and NO SMELLS. water pressure in shower was excellent too with plenty of hot water. Fridge worked and was cold. Towels weren’t scraggly. More than I could ask for given the competitors. Just book this place and save yourself the headache. Thanks so much. No water besides tap water and bottled water in lobby for breakfast though. We took some oranges and bananas, the rest was like gas station pastries.

Key card didn’t work sometimes

I have used the hotels near WWU for years, and while most are serviceable for overnight stay was very pleasantly surprised that the Bay City was notch above the others. Understand, its not fancy or place for a vacation stay. However, it was comfortable, very clean, very comfortable and staff was most accommodating on some special request such as plugging in my electric vehicle (110V). As I have family reasons for being in Bellingham often, I will be inclined to use this hotel more offten

Parking lot is bit tight for big truck I drive. Still, it was OK as long as I paid attention.

It was clean and comfortable. The place was generally quiet and calm. Other guests seemed happy with the fresh waffles and other breakfast offerings. I had other breakfast plans.

It took me a while to figure out how to get the shower water hotter than tepid. I hadn't even seen that kind of temperature adjustment before. The space under the door let in hallway noises that woke me once in the night.

The staff were extremely friendly . The room was clean and smelled clean no cigarette smoke which was pleasant ! Location is good . Lots of places to eat near by . The hotel had a huge menu for room service but we did not give it a try . We will next time . The staff was more than happy to supply us with some extra pillows and use their microwave . Check out was super easy .

The bed was pretty firm . Could have been personal preference but my sister and mother agreed . We would still stay there again :)

Close to downtown and super close to freeway and grocery store. When I was growing up in Bellingham, this area was "sketchy“. Now it’s really up and coming and not bad at all. The front desk man was really friendly and personable. We chatted for an extra ten min at check in and he was really helpful getting us an personal cab driver who was SUPER quick and cheaper than a normal cab or Uber. Really good value for the price. Especially in Bellingham (these days). Also a pretty big fridge for a motel.

Rooms that have a jakuzi actually have the jakuzi in the bedroom I think. We preferred the rooms on the upper floors without the jakuzi. We couldn't get the TV to come on, but if we had asked the front desk at the appropriate time I'm sure they could have gotten it to come on for us. Seems a bit informal for the price, but it was a nice place to stay. The immediate surroundings are practical but not charming. Can walk or drive to nicer neighborhoods.

All staff that we interacted with at the hotel were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The beds were exceptional. The breakfast was simple but several steps above the danish/coffee type. For a stand alone place, we felt that it was on par with name brand chains and above many of them. We appreciated that during the day the staff opened doors/windows to bring plenty of fresh air into the building.

This accommodation is a VERY clean updated 3? story structure. The complimentary basic compact self serve breakfast area is located in a corner of the big lobby was quickly restocked. It was CLEAN and FRESH like ALL of the other areas. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Located closer to the freeway, outside you could some traffic noise, nothing inside. The parking lot is very clean, spacious and WELL LITE. The area WAS run down with lots of homeless people, not now. There's lots of new constrution. They are close to a small mall containing a Dollar Tree and? There's a variety of eating areas across the street or a short distance to clean old Bellingham a few? blocks away.

It could have been free. L.O.L. The off? season price we got was very reasonable.

Great stay! Good location. Nice staff. The room was basic but clean, and had a fridge and microwave. Best part was the included breakfast!

The room keys kept deactivating, almost every time we left and came back, the key wouldn't work. Have to go to front desk to reactivate it. So that was annoying. Everything else was great!
