This was our last stop before leaving charming Viet Nam, we booked a grand deluxe king room on a high floor but were pleasantly surprised with upgrade to the presidential suite, where even toilets have a remote control. The hotel location is a walking distance from West Lake but area around hotel is still under development, so we were brave to walk back at night only once. The hotel staff are very helpful and shared with us secrets of the best shopping locations in Hanoi. The hotel offers delicious breakfast with wonderful selection of dishes, able to satisfy most of the travelers.

The presidential suit is one floor below lounge, which is a bit of mistake in design, in my humble opinion. At night people singing and dancing, from the early morning cleaning staff moving the furniture and vacuum cleaning – no rest for the wicked. We are actually asked for a quiet room at the time of the booking! Other minor comment is that water in the shower is very weak and half of the nozzles are blocked. The hotel staff proudly puts cards with the their names after the cleaning but I think there is a room for improvement there.

The staffs were very kind and patient. We arrived at 6am, and informed that staff that we wish to check in. However, knowing that the check in time is 2pm, we did not hold much hope. They then got back to me and informed that they can provide me with a free upgrade to a suite and I could check in at 10am. We are very pleased with the arrangement and even though there are some misunderstanding about the payment amount (doesn’t tally with booking.com and their system), they were very patient with me and explained clearly. The room was exceptional and we decided to stay in to enjoy the facilities. Rather than stepping out as it was raining! Thank you Grand Mercure!

Found some stains on a towel and felt that the pillow was a bit too soft (but that’s based on my personal preference).

I loved my room. The bathroom and bath with the window AND the overall look of the room were just perfect. I also appreciated everything being so modern with all the switches. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly. I also had a treatment in the spa and although the price is higher than your average spa in Hanoi, it was worth it.

The swimming pool looks nice but not everyone appreciates others being able to see them under water. I would also say that the skybar doesn't stand out. Unlike the rooms it think the vibe is not unique.

We loved our stay in this hotel and still talk about it. It was our first hotel in Vietnam. Room was great - spacious and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast downstairs with lots of options and good setting with windows where you can watch the wonderful madness of Hanoi. Would definitely recommend and we hope to return one day.

Not a criticism but it’s not as centrally located as some other hotels (we briefly stayed in another luxury hotel that was right in the middle of the Old Quarter). We liked the location of this hotel but it does require a walk or taxi to the Old Quarter etc.

Really friendly and kind staff with a good breakfast selection. Brand new so facilities are really good however not everything is open such as the sky bar.

Sometimes the service was a little slow for a high end hotel but we understand that it is because of lack of staff. And not all facilities where open as I mentioned the sky bar. It is a bit far from Old town but close to the main attractions.

It is newish so appearance was fresh, clean and bright. It is 1.8k to Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly. Special mention to River for sharing with us the city guide app which made our exploration of the city more enjoyable. To Thanh for pleasant conversations. Having staffs (Benjamine and Tam) who can converse made our stay at this hotel memorable and adds layer to our experience of Hanoi.

There is no Overhead lighting above the mirror in the bathroom so putting make up on is difficult.

I really liked the room, it was clean, spacious, well designed (especially the bathroom). The staff during check in was nice. The beds were super comfy. I wish I could spend more time in this hotel, but hopefully next time.

During the check out (in the very morning) the staff representative asked if we used something from the mini bar in the room and I confirmed that we didn't. We needed to wait a few minutes, because he went to check it anyways. Slightly off as for the 5 stars hotel.

I want to start saying that the main added value of this hotel is its staff: always welcoming me with a smile that is very good when you're travelling for business. A special mention to JULIE, the girl at the reception desk that made my stay at the hotel as five stars, being always very helpful, kind and professional from my arrival until and after the check out time. Very comfortable, quiet and clean room with amazing and spacious bathroom with both shower and bath tub. Well performing WiFi everywhere. I loved also the food served at the restaurant in the evening, traditional Vietnamese dishes reinterpreted for guests from all around the world. Also the young guy at restaurant felt me like at my home. I would strongly recommend this hotel for your stay in Hanoi.

Just as hint for improvement: - the rooftop and swimming pool not available yet but it's because the hotel is very new, just opened to the guets - good breakfast but the choice range could be improved

A little far from the old quarter, so most of the time we used Grab to get there

brand new hotel , super clean rooms , they have used the best of technology in the rooms and kept it as environmentally friendly as possible , Mr CU at the concierge took great care of us , Breakfast is great , good choices , good quality , reception staff in the end did apologise for the rough time I faced.comfortable beds, and instead of the lounge access they had given us free canapés and alocoholic beverages in the 2nd floor restaurant of theirs.

hotel is not fully operational , no roof top bar . no swimming pool , no lounge , staff was fairly new and clueless with most of the things and they should hire more people , I changed my room 2-3 times because I had booked a room with a balcony but got a completely obstructed view of the city which left a bitter pill to swallow, they shifted me to a smaller room post that and had to change back to my original room
