Too far away from everything. No food options nearby. Also it’s a little dirty (cockroaches and mold). I think they got the right mindset, but they need to go the extra mile. Also, installing curtains in a 14(?) person dorm should be mandatory and doesn’t require much extra work. Many people complained about it

This is the best hostel so far I have stayed in my 10 years of traveling. almost like a 3 star hotel. huge room for dorm, with balcony. spotlessly clean. You get even toiletries, crisp clean towel with nicely packed toiletries. the most comfortable beds and linen. they have very fancy kitchen with all equipment for use. The family generously offered a dinner and lunch since my diet is vegetarian. paintings, wall displays at lobby makes the property adorable. I wish I could spend more days there. breakfast was good too. the ‘boy’ at the receptionist was really cute and very professional, very helpful.

The best bang for your buck in Sapa! A spacious public space where you can hang out in various seated areas, the food is also great, I had the pizza and it was very close to the one I had in Italy. The Viet food is also good and the price matches what's normal in Sapa (pho = 50k). The breakfast buffet for 60k is pretty nice too since a coffee + light meal will set you north of 100 most of the time in Sapa.

Not something I personally disliked, but the rooms felt a bit too open. No curtains or privacy, but it can apparently be requested if you want. Also the location is a 10-15 minute walk to downtown depending on your pace. This wasn't the end of the world for me, but I can imagine to some people it might not be ideal, but I stayed at 4 other places and this one was definitely the best in terms of bang for your buck!

Location was great. Actually loved that it’s a 10 min walk up from town, out of the hustle bustle. Loved the daily routines and cleanliness of the place. Fantastic buffet breakfast in the morning. Great social space. Probably the best food (while still affordable) we’ve had in Vietnam. Had a lot of westerner favourites like a simple BLT, butternut squash soup, pizza, pasta, and our favourite the sapa chicken rice (like a sesame boneless chicken) Love how they have all of the information very easily accessible, like bus times & prices, menus etc

Don’t really understand why they don’t just have the bed curtains available on the beds all the time (on curtain loops so they can slide easily & not make so much noise). They were available free though, just had to ask. Bed numbers and/ or assigning beds would also be helpful so there’s less confusion. On our last night there, one of our beds was taken. Our bags were moved away from the end of our bed. And our curtains were changed. Then when we asked the receptionist about this she suggested we just find a new bed, when we had been there for 4 days already. Not a big deal, we managed to sort it but it could easily have been avoided. Making sure the shower and sink soaps are full everyday.

was defo one of the best bathrooms i've had in my entire backpacking trip !! the staff were super friendly and helpful- even helping me book my bus the day after i'd checked out. the food was rly good too - the drinks & food menu were very extensive. the dorm rooms were also very comfortable and spacious

would've been better if the beds had curtains! and also location wise was quite far from the centre of sapa

Stayed in a 12-bed dorm, very good price for what you get! Clean, modern and cozy interior, laundry-service available (extra cost), nice reception area to hang around, extra room to store the luggage for free when going on an overnight hike trip or on the checkout day. 24 hrs reception, was possible to check-in at 2.00 am, very convenient! Very helpful staff can give advices for tours around Vietnam (especially the lady from the reception area). Would definitely come back again.

No curtains on bed. No soap in the bathroom for washing the hands, but those are just tiny things to mention.

*arrived really early in the morning(3-4am) and warent allowed to do early check in unless i book a tour with them..its their right of course but i wasn't nice at all because the dorms were almost completely empty,they let me sleep on their couch in the lobby at least:)

Not great communication. Wasn't clear on breakfast situation apparently it's only free if you book through hostelword and initially couldn't check in at 1400 as rooms weren't ready States room came with a balcony and view but there was a huge wall blocking the view and sun on the balcony Terrace is fully covered with no chairs on top so also shady and not really usable

Lustig is VERY modern & High tech, so much so that asking for wifi & check in is all done through QR code, in an attempt to try and limit human interaction as much as possible, which is strange because its a very social and busy hostel for travellers! But has a very strict business feel about it when dealing with the staff. When checking in make sure you opt for your additionals like a curtain which is $100,000? Breakfast which is $60,000. The food menu here is very good, and affordable, the coconut coffee was yummy! A big shout out to the young lady chef, who I watched go back and forth all day catering to hungry travellers needs, she was mostly on her own and did an amazing job! Desk staff were not very helpful when trying to book Mt Fansipan tour. As i understood it, you cant book on as a single person so you need to wait for people to sign up and then book in as a group? And they attempted to charge me for a bottle of water on check out, as you can just grab what you want and hopefully they mark it done, this system is abit willy nilly, I have my own reusable bottle so deffinatly didnt take one from the fridge!! They DO have refillable water which is always a win! This hostel was pretty great, very clean, very spacious for lots of travellers and super cheap, if you have a scooter no problem to get into town! I got lost trying to find it by foot

How impersonable the desk staff were, not very happy to chat with guests so it seems, very strict business vibe if it wasnt for all the excited travellers who brought the place to life! I dont like that you have to pay for a curtain.. another way to scheme money out of budget travellers, and just another item to carry up 4 flights of stairs

Felt like being at home! Big room with a lot of natural light, good location (it depends where you prefer to stay in Sapa) and also lot of space in the bathroom. 10-15 min walking from the center of the town. They offer a buffet for breakfast with plenty of options to choose! The environment is super confortable, making it much easier to meet people (specially if you are a solo traveler :) They also offer tours, buses, laundry and things for rental (even trekking shoes!) Highly recommend this place.

My welcome to the hostel could have been better and warmer. Also would be nice to have at least two plugs in the bed
