The hostel provides many areas to hang out and socialise with other backpackers, the pool area is nice and the rest of the hostel is open space. The staff are very kind and open with all guests and always provide help and assistance where needed. There were opportunities to mingle with other people and make good friends whilst in surfers. The location is optimal as it is close by to the shops, beach, car rental, clubs and other activities!

I have been to this hostel several times and every time I had good experiences. The first time was last years, when I entered I immediately felt the good vibes of this place, made friends and had a good time there. The rooms and kitchen are clean, I had a chance to see more rooms and each one had everything I needed. There are also lots of games you can play and a bar with everything you need. the location is perfect, downtown but not so crowded I will definitely come back here if i happen to come back to gold coast

I had a fantastic experience at the hostel. Isabela, the receptionist from Brazil, is incredibly friendly. It's the best place in town for value for money and making friends. Furthermore the bar is great with many options of beverages and beers.

The street where the hostel is located is quite busy, making parking a challenge. It's best to arrive early.

My partner and I booked a private room, which was on the smaller side, but better than the majority traveling the east coast, the location was very convenient, a short walk from woolies, the beach, and shops, the pool was a bonus, and was very grateful for the very minimal noise during the night, and never having to wait for the bathroom.

It's a chilled and relaxed hostel for young backpackers. The kitchen is quite useful to do cooking for your own. There is lots of different languages spoken in this hostel so there is always a person to talk to. I've been in a 4 bed mixed dorm (just boys as usual) and there was enough space for everyone to store luggage in the room. The dorm also has a cupboard to put your personal stuff in and lock it.

This place is so close to Surfers Paradise and the beach, it's ridiculous! Leave your valuable stuff in your room, and walk to the beach! It's so easy! Great location for the beach and everything. The pool was good. The air conditioned pool room/cinema room was nice and cool. Good for the really hot days on the Gold Coast. The pool was very refreshing, not too hot or cold. Also has a spa bath, but not hot - which was nice because it was hot enough already. Very good after a big day. Mattress on bed was comfortable. Clean sheets were good too. Hammocks and comfy chairs around the central courtyard were good. Plenty of shade to stay out of the heat helpful too. Bikes and surfboard hire available too.

It was too hot. More fans in the rooms. The bunk beds squeak a lot when getting in and out. Prices at the bar were expensive. The kitchen is ridiculously small. You couldn't have too many people trying to cook at the same time. Wood in bathroom rotten in parts, saw a cockroach.

Pretty valid hostel for the price. They have a bar, pool, hammocks downstairs and it’s right next to the center of Surfers Paradise. Staff are friendly and always down to help. Overall has bunch of great things and services to provide.

The beds are a little hard and overall the rooms and facilities are not that clean. Cockroaches were spotted every day in the rooms and the AC didn’t work propely. The bar is blasting music until midnight and it can be easily heard in the rooms. Obiviously having a pair of earplugs fix this problem.

We had an issue arise, at check in. On the emails it said check in was from 2pm onwards never and ending time. There is only 1 place you can find that check in closed at 10:30pm. We didn’t want to hold you guys at reception and didn’t realise that there was no after hours call to call for once we arrive.

In summery we had a great time at Backpackers in Paradise. The room was clean. The beach was a 5-10 min walk away, which was very nice. The kitchen was a little too small, but it is okay if you‘re not planning to cook for hours.

Some stuff members of the hostel were kind of rude.

Really a comfortable experience according to its price. I have been staying here for about five nights and meet friendly guys from different countries. But what surprises me is that there is only sheet without guilt. Maybe that's because Gold coast is near Sunny City-Brisbane.
