Look I don’t think that I’ve ever been impressed by drainage, but the drain in the shower of the Adelaide oval hotel were superb! You know what happens you turn on the shower and it sprays all over the floor and then you’ve got a flooded bathroom and soggy bath mat, well not here. The hotel is much more that sensational drainage, it’s automated and all the fixtures are exceptionally designed. Also you don’t appreciate the location until you look out on the cathedral at night and the oval from the exceptional bespoke restaurant.
The sound of the outside world was quite audible and the oval precinct is busy (there are people walking about nothing intentional happening) 24 hrs a day.

We booked 3 rooms for a family of 6. The rooms are close to each other, which is handy. All the rooms are comfortable, clean with the facilities required. We are in the Southern swing, facing the river with the view of the city, with the mix of tranquility and scattered high rises, view is unique and beautiful. Though rooms aren’t too big, but their modern decor and bright colour scheme enhance their comfort level. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant with good food and friendly service. Overall a highly satisfactory stay.
The technology for the lighting, very difficult to work out how to operate the control panel. Prints on the panel too small, not user friendly, particularly for elderly people, We ended up not being able to turn off the bar light and had it turned on all night , not sleep inducing.

Beautifully presented room and personalised message on the tv which was a cute touch. Great in room technology and wonderful view.
Baffled as to why there wouldn't be a toilet brush in the room, and the valet service was $49 to move the various 15 metres - my own fault as I didn't ask if there was a charge. Also surprised at given how high end the hotel is that all the hallway carpets appeared to have water damage. Obviously this didn't make a difference to our stay but it was a surprise. Overall $360 for an overnight stay is very pricey and while it was beautiful, it isn't a price I'd pay again.

A very modern hotel that is eco friendly. Stylish decor, remote controlled curtains, rain head shower with lovely amenities and bath sheets. Very comfortable beds and pillows and the rooms are very dark with the curtains drawn - enabling a great night’s sleep. Complimentary tea and coffee available in reception with lounges to watch the world go by or catch up on the latest news.
No matter what I tried I couldn’t connect to the Wifi either on my laptop or my phone. Im assuming that it was my room was too far from the signal. I was at the very end of the corridor and tucked around a dog leg (room 401). This inconvenience meant that I was unable to do as much work as I needed to. Room service is delivered in a paper bag and the food served in compostable packaging. Whilst this is to be recognised as sustainable, I wonder if it is not more economical to use regular china and metal cutlery. Ordering a meal to have in house, and having it served effectively as a take away option was not ideal for a salad you are paying $25 for.

When we entered the room, we were greeted with a wonderful view of the parklands and cathedral. The tv was on with a personalised welcome message, and the room smelt fresh and clean; The provided tablet was also personalised, which was also a pleasant surprise. The room provides plenty of opportunity to just close the door when you arrive and then stay in your own little bubble if you so wish. The digital setup allows you to make contact with room service without the need to call and speak to someone and the television has a chromecast attached so you can use your phone to connect to your own streaming services. The rooms are reasonably soundproof, we heard no voices/sounds for the neighbour rooms but we did hear every time our neighbour stomped back and forth in their room. The food was satisfyingly tasty and arrived in the room hot.
The mattress was a little softer than we would normally prefer, but nothing unbearable. There was a tapping noise, sounded like a door lock sound, that came from the hallway on random occasions, which was a little irritating but I don't think I heard it more than once or twice while I slept. The automatic blinds didn't have an option to partially open, so when you open them in the morning, it gets very bright very quickly. Breakfast wouldn't let me order without selecting the gluten-free option in dietary, so we got gluten-free bread instead of the brioche that was supposed to come with it but it was still tasty.

Spacious, elegant room with lovely views. Polite staff, who took the time to issue directions and instructions as needed. Hotel directly accessed Adelaide Oval, meaning no battling through crowds to reach our seats at the cricket.
The wifi was very slow, possibly due to the large crowd at the Oval, although there was little improvement the next day. The room was tricky to set a comfortable temperature to sleep by. Why is tea always rationed? 2 people will need 4 teabags (of one type) in an overnight stay. Also, why no Earl Grey tea?

Very close to CBD, but much nicer to be in the lovely parkland setting of the hotel. Good facilities in rooms, such as coffee maker, lights, curtains etc. digitally controlled by tablet, you can book taxis through it too, very helpful. The bar is pleasant, and we really enjoyed eating outdoors on the terrace, with that fantastic view of the Oval. Even got to see a game being played. Didn't eat in the restaurant itself, only from bar menu, but other guests commented to us on how good the food was.
There is traffic noise, as the roads around the parkland are busy, but no problem with sleeping at night.

Well done to the housekeeping staff, the room was very clean and the bed was perfectly made. I loved the easy to use wall panels and ipad next to the bed to control the ambience and order room service, a fun and easy function. Modern, comfortable, warm, great views, AMAZING food, and just perfect for attending the AFL.
Hard to fault. But personally, I found the bed a bit too soft and the pillows were a bit high for my neck. Comfortable, but hurt my neck to sleep. Not a complaint, as that's just me. Some of the staff could learn to smile.

The staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful especially the night concierge M. He was fantastic, happy to help despite the late hour of our arrival. Our room had two separate and gorgeous views - city and catherdral. It was quiet and clean. The room had an extra bed as requested and the room and bathroom were spacious. All the beds and pillows - heaven, so comfortable like sleeping on a cloud. And coffee machine and guest bathrobes a plus. Room service and food exceptional. Loved the automatic curtains, lighting and movies on demand etc. Location - easy and pretty walk to WCH and Rundle Mall. And the leisure centre access was fantastic too. Easiest parking in Adelaide.
