the room was very spacious and warm - we were there for Adelaide's coldest July day on record. the location is perfect. Right in the heart of the city. Close to everything. We walked t the Zoo, the Stadium and out for dinner every night and all brilliant.

Be wary if you drive your own vehicle. There is no Hotel parking. You must either park in a public carpark or use the Valet parking @ $50 per night and they park off sight. You have to give them half an hour notice and book in advance.  They also had no choice of pillows and I ended up with a sore neck.

Location is ideal if want to stay in city centre, transport around the hotel is excellent. Room Is very quiet although in city centre, even in lower level. Eating venues within the hotel are very nice too. Happy with the Den, nice atmosphere and not over expensive. Breakfast is fine, choice of foood is within normal range, nothing of extra good quality.

Choice of breakfast food can be improved. Staff can offer more comprehensive information during check in, eg, if breakfast is included, can explain location of breakfast venue . Seems the staff are only doing the basics without offering extra support.

The Mayfair is such a beautiful hotel and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. I have stayed a number of times and the rooms are always immaculately clean and stylishly decorated. The beds are so incredibly comfortable its like sleeping on a cloud. The rooms are super quiet and the blinds allow a good sleep in until the generous 11am checkout time. Unlike some of the local hotels Mayfair's pictures of the property are exactly what you get. Thank you to the staff for providing such a wonderful stay.

Comfortable, clean, very well located hotel in the centre of the CBD, short walk to Adelaide Oval for the Cricket and the Botanic Gardens for the Chihuly exhibition. . Rooftop bar had a number of cosy nooks and a couple of larger spaces. Took advantage of an exceptional summer getaway offer at around $AU200 per night and was upgraded to an Executive suite for our Anniversary as well! Great couple of nights there!!

The highly rated Mayflower Restaurant where we had looked forward to enjoying an Anniversary Dinner was unable or unwilling to change any of their four (4) entrees or four (4) main courses to meet my dietary requirements. Just returned from three weeks in Sri Lanka and Malaysia and every hotel and resort went out of their way to adapt something from their menu for me. Extremely disappointed with the response from the manager of the three food and beverage sites at the Mayfair!!

Staff were very efficient rooms were clean and spacious, great location close to transportation restaurants and the casino

roof top bar very expensive $28 for two drinks i can understand why the place was empty. Now for the real issues as i was waiting for my wife outside when a daughter and her mother arrived, mother being in a walker a struggling to walk 2 suitcases and hand luggage. The daughter had to carry all into the hotel on by her self 5star hotel and no concierge to be seen May fair hotel this is totally unacceptable I did speak to Management (Hanna) and the care factor was nonexistent.

Really appreciate that the hotel has a pet policy in place, especially as The Mayfair is so centrally located. We received a warm welcome at the front desk for both ourselves and our four-legged guest, which was really lovely after a long journey. The spacious suite and pillowy soft bedding ensured we had a sound night's sleep. The minibar, bath products and bath robes were a lovely touch.

We would have loved the option to dine outdoors together with our dog, anywhere at the hotel. Upon arrival at our room we found an issue with the cleaning after the previous pet guest. The staff were quick to respond to this matter which was great. Certain staff might benefit from some general training about interacting comfortably with four-legged guests, but the people at front reception were great in this respect. Any grass (even a grass dog potty) would be an awesome addition to the dog-friendly balcony.

First time staying at Mayfair Adelaide at the recommendation of colleagues (by “word of mouth”) and the hotel is exceptional. Will stay here again with my gorgeous wife when we are next in Adelaide for a holiday (not for work like this time). Excellent staff service, in-room dining service with dietary attention, and the streamlined customer care through the hotel’s touch-screen ipad system. The bed is extra comfortable as with the toiletries and the luxury standards of towels and furnishings. Worth the standards of 5-star and above boutique hotel. All within the centre of Adelaide CBD…. and the mall is across the intersection (!)

Haven’t tried the in-house restaurants due to busy work schedules so couldn’t comment on their service.

My stay at the Mayfair was sincerely one of the best business accommodation experiences I have ever had in Australia. I stayed for 4 wonderful nights in this tasteful and discreet premises. The guest service was exactly as it should be, but rarely is. I wish to give a special shout out to Shen, a Supervisor of Laundry Service, who went way above and beyond to help me resolve what would otherwise have been a very damaging fluid spillage over 7 items of business clothing in my luggage (caused by airline rough handling). The Rooftop Bartenders were also pleasant, respectful and helpful, as was the dapper man on Concierge – Such a lovely man. All staff I encountered provided the best possible professional service. While the room décor and overall details were also perfect, it really was the service providers’ that made the 5+ star difference. As a mature female smoker, I also greatly appreciated the two safe and ambient spaces which I was able to use in the evenings – The views from both spaces were excellent in terms of interesting cityscape, and the outdoor furnishings were both functional and cool. Honestly, this was the best business travel experience I have had in 26 years of business travel. I highly recommend the Adelaide Mayfair Hotel.

There were no negatives. I loved everything about this experience. Yes, the homeless and disadvantaged do busk and reside on the corner of Hindley Street and King William Road, but that is no fault of the Mayfair. It occupies a brilliant location, and is quite safe, so long as you do not engage with the street dwellers. Like any superb urban accommodation - say in San Fran and Chicago, I applaud the Mayfair for handling their immediate environment with respect.

Excellent location at the end of Rundle Mall. Close to shops and restaurants. Our room - Mayfair King Suite - was spacious and comfortable for our 3 night stay. We love the atmosphere of the hotel where you can be in the city centre and yet feel immediately relaxed and on holiday on arrival.

The mini bar, although free, did not have much variety. The mattress was a bit softer than our old bones are accustomed to. The dessert trolley offered in the Mayfair restaurant is just a selection of the cakes on offer all day in the cafe and the same is on offer at the second restaurant, The Den. We had the Afternoon Tea, which cost the same as the High Tea is certainly not the same as what they show in the marketing pictures and was slightly disappointing especially as 2/3 of the savoury items were seafood and not everyone eats seafood. The rooftop bar is definitely a place for young people and not somewhere you can go for a quiet drink.

Beautiful hotel, had King Suite. The staff were always polite and helpful and professional. The suite was lovely and a comfortable space to relax. Great shower and bathroom. Definitely recommended to friends and return.

The only complaint, but its an important one to me, was the disappointing quality of the bed making. I love having a beautiful crisp bed to sleep in when travelling and tired. The bedding and linen and pillows were comfortable but I had to remake by tucking in the bottom sheet and also the foot of the top sheet as it was also not tucked in. Maybe the sheets were a little small for the big bed, but it actually looked like it was a rushed job.
