Location is amazing, perfect to explore main areas of Melbourne. This was our first time in the city and we were under the impression that this hotel could not have been a better choice . Nice architecture and decoration, and bed was really comfortable. Room was very clean and had everything we need it.

the only thing that could have been better is the shower - water pressure was low (but it did not affect our stay!)

This is a wonderful hotel in a brilliant location with the cbd on one side and a zillion restaurants on the other. You can walk to the Vic Market, Fitzroy, and lots of other places from here. The parking was easy and check in was uncomplicated. The room was groovy and the bed was very comfortable. We ate breakfast in the restaurant downstairs and even put in an appearance at the Lord Lygon wine bar. We found the stay very pleasant and would stay here again for sure.

Maybe I'm getting old, but I found the toilet situation in our room a bit, I don't know, confronting. There were opaque glass walls, but I felt that we were getting to know each other a little too well - and this is after a decade together! The rooms are great and the design is compelling but I like a bit more privacy, I guess. Not a criticism as such but my only reservation about an otherwise great hotel.

Staff were very good. Mohi, the manager was extremely welcoming and personable. The night manager was also helpful when we ran into a problem. The bed and linens were comfortable. The location is good and there's an on-site restaurant across the driveway, and parking - we didn't need either. On the ground floor there's a lobby area and cafe that serves good coffee. Cool mural in the elevator with the same design on the Zagame's courtesy vehicle.

An intermittent humming noise from an unknown cause was coming from the bathroom, one and off during the evening and into the night. It was reported to the night manager who was very happy to move us to a different room. As mysteriously as it started it stopped and so we stayed put. The room was taken out of service the following day pending a service call from the engineers. Quick action form the hotel was appreciated. The bathroom doesn't have a solid door and the toilet is quite close to the bedhead - OK, I guess if you're traveling alone, not so good when there's 2 of you.

Easily got around using trams or walking, lots of eating places nearby. Loved the sound proofing, didn’t hear noise from adjoining rooms and even the walkway outside the room was covered in soundproofing material. Room spacious had everything I needed

Young man on desk at check in messed up card payment. That could be easily rectified with training. Also he gave an evasive answer when I asked about credit card surcharge. Didn’t want room service, notified about that but on my last night all clean linen was provided. Staff apologetic about that but my concern was for the environment, the message had not been passed on to housekeeping as requested.

Staffs were helpful, friendly & nice , especially a waitress in the breakfast time, she was so nice, friendly & professional . She will ask you if you need the ice for the juices as the weather was cold. The other waitress didn’t , they just assume you like & give you. Front desk also nice & helpful, i need to check in early at 11, they immediately arranged the room for me. I just waited for 40 minutes & I could rest in the room, no need to hanging around outside under cold weather. Room was not big, but clean , everything you need was there. They clean your room everyday , their cleaning workers were friendly & polite. Location is good, surrounding by many restaurants just 3 mins walk, also connivence stores & supermarkets in walking distance . Breakfast was good, but not many choices.

The room was too dark , as you may need to close the curtain even in the daytime, as the window is facing the corridor

- location was great for CBD and neighboring areas like Fitzroy and Carlton Gardens and is on famous Lygon St, filled with restaurants and cafes. - the room was comfortable and clean and had gorgeous toiletries and extras, like clothing steamer abs hair straighteners - the staff were incredible! From check in, to waiting staff at breakfast, to the cleaners. I was given a travel card for the trams upon check in, which I returned for another traveller when I checked out - this was such a lovely touch. As the Grand Prix was on (which I was going to), each day the room cleaners left a little chocolate with a different quote such as a Freddo Frog bar and the quote “have an unFROGgettable time at the Grand Prix” - this was such a lovely touch and made you feel so at home. I only wish I lived closer to Australia so I could stay again! If I ever make my way to Melbourne again, I’ll definitely rebook this hotel.

There’s nothing I can fault about this property

This hotel is almost perfect, almost. The reception staff are amazing, friendly, helpful and professional. The room is very well appointed and the design of the room is great. Almost everything you could need is in the room for you; everything from a shoe horn to hair straighteners. The television has an up to date number of movies ready to stream and the Chromecast facility built in allows you to watch anything on streaming services from your own devices. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and with the black out blinds, sleep is brilliant. The breakfast is delicious and the coffee is some of the best I had in Melbourne, thank you Haven!

There are very few problems with this hotel. One was that the hotel bar, Mr Lygon was not open at all during my stay. I was looking forward to a night cap there so that was disappointing. The room service food was just ok, and given that, was overpriced. There were no cocktails available in the mini-bar, which were previously available, and still mentioned in the hotel info. There was no toilet brush, and lastly the wall to the bathroom is frosted glass and instead of the shower being the other side it's the toilet, so be prepared to watch toilet activity rather than shower activity if you're sharing the room.

Repeat guest here. It is just an all round great place. Quiet rooms, staff are very interested in pleasing their guests. Extremely professional but also down to earth. As an autistic person, I can count on the same reception every time and the comfort of selecting a specific room which I know what to expect. This is so important for me to function as a normal person would.

Look, the rooms are small, but it’s not something I dislike. It’s just something to note if you like to have space. Not much walking room at all. I don’t have an issue with it though. The other qualities outweigh this one thing.

I was more than impressed with Zagame’s House. The receptionist was so friendly when I arrived, and brought me up a delicious piccolo straight away. My room was furnished very tastefully - with a wonderful mix of modern and eclectic fixtures and furnishings. The location was fantastic, bed comfortable, and the thoughtful touches like Bluetooth speaker and hair straightener were incredibly appreciated. Thank you so much - I was thrilled 😄

Basically everything was perfect, except they were out of amaretto sours when I wanted to order one. But all good, it did not sour my otherwise wonderful experience.
