Absolutely loved the location! We had a beautiful view of the mountains and the motel was within walking distance of essential shops. Although the building was obviously old, the room was clean and neat. They also provided quite a lot of towels, and extra linens and pillows. There was also a standing fan, but fortunately it was still cool enough in the night that we didn’t need it. The staff were also incredibly nice and helpful. After we had already checked-out, I realized I left my Bose headphones. The staff found it and kept it for safekeeping until I called and arranged a UPS pick-up.

Would have appreciated a microwave in the room. There was a coffee maker, which was enough to boil water with for cup noodles, but a microwave would have been useful to heat up leftovers or food if you packed any.

We are absolutely excited!! This acommodation is absolutely perfect, cozy and comfortable. The service was amazing and all of the staff were so nice, kind and very helpful! Wi-Fi worked so good. The place is very nice with breathtaking views, near to all of kind shops (Save on foods, Tim Hortons, gift shops, coffee shops, restaurants). The Drake Inn is very dog friendly, we gave deposit 100 CAD and was returned without any problems. Thank you for very nice experience in Canmore! :)

Everything was absolutely perfect!!

Great location. Bar noisy and people outside making noise at night. BUT the reception staff were brilliant, obliging, helpful and also got a room upgrade on our second stay later in the week. The first room we had could do with an update but was extremely clean. The secret nd room we had up the stairs had great views on two sides and again very clean. I would come back again.

I won’t say I didn’t like …. But the bar was noisy at times and could hear it and people outside at night. I do understand it’s difficult to please everyone when there’s a bar close to the accommodation.

The view from the room was amazing. The location is on the centre. Everything is within walking distance. The staffs were friendly. They even had carpet on the patio.

It’s an old property. Even though everything was functional, there was tear here and there like on the bathroom door, walls and patio chairs. The lock for patio door wasn’t working so they used a stick inside to keep it locked. It’s off season so I paid way less than what guests pay in summer. The guests in summer may find it not value for money.

Location very close to everything in Canmore and our room had a nice view over the river and mountains. The room was a good size and very clean. Nice big windows. The pub on site looked good but we did t try it. We did enjoy our stay.

The exterior of the building is getting run down and needs some attention. When we first saw it, it was raining, we were a bit worried what the actual room would be like but it was nice and as described. The bathroom could do with some updating but it was clean. Steps up to room so be prepared to lift suitcases.

The Drake was in a Great location walking distance to walking trails, eating shop,food. The staff where very nice. We stayed for our 40th wedding anniversary with friends also celebrating their 40th. They surprised us with a very nice card that they made and some amazing treats not Only chocolates but also some amazing trail mix, and local Beer for they Hubbies and Cider for the ladies. Just couldn’t believe it, truly went over and above!!!!THANKS FOR HELPING MAKE OUR ANNIVERSARY SO SPECIAL

I don’t even like to bring this up, because how nice our stay way, with staff and location. It could use a little TLC (TENDER LOVING CARE) A bit of paint outside would do wonders. With that being said our rooms where very clean!

I had a very pleasant stay at Drake-Inn in the first week of July 2023. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious and had a lovely view. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Though there is no AC in the room, but it was not at all needed, as the weather was pretty pleasant and we didn't even have to use the fan. The location is awesome as its right next to a major bus stop of the town. As we were travelling without a car, the closeness to the bus stop made our lives real easy, as we could take the bus to Banff quite easily and enjoy all the major attractions inside the Banff National Park. On top of that there is a pub cum restaurant inside the same property, which offers a discount of 15% on food and drinks to all those who stay in the hotel. The hotel allows its residents to bring food from outside and even offers plates, spoons/forks and napkins, even if you do not buy anything from their restaurant or pub. Overall, I had a great experience of staying here. Real value-for-money place and I would recommend this place to all, who wish to stay in Canmore.

There is no washroom for the guests, in case they wish to use it after checking-out or before checking-in (in case the room is not ready). But its hardly an issue as there there is a public toilet nearby :)

We have stayed here before and would certainly stay again if in Canmore. Very helpful and accommodating staff. Comfortable rooms that have everything we needed. The rooms at the back have stunning views overlooking the creek and the mountains behind the town. Also a spacious balcony so that you can enjoy them. Although in large dispensers the toiletries had a lovely smell and were great quality. A moment to reach the town. Also a large shopping area including a large supermarket. Good choice of places to eat within a short distance.

The rooms are well maintained but the fabric of the building would benefit from a facelift

We were offered upgrade and view was excellent. The hotel is not up to the latest modern standards in terms of looks within the room, but it was clean, spacoious, and had all the facilities we expected and more than exceeded our expectations, with excellent value for money compared with other more modern establishemient we had looked at. We will use it again if returning to Canmore.

The room itself was clean and comfortable. I actually overslept. The view from the balcony was as expected. It was pretty grand. The location was perfect because it walking distance or a bike ride away from everything.

The outer building of the hotel needs TLC and cleaning. My balcony sliding door was hard to open and close. The room walls were too plain. It needs a bit of decor, color, or photos. The office closed at 4 pm when I stayed there. It was a bit of an inconvenience because I wanted to heat a snack as I relaxed. The coffee machine was missing the coffee pot, so I was not able to use it.
