The room was gorgeous with wood panelling on a feature wall. They supply earplugs due to the train. The train never woke me up with their earplugs. They also supply a local company's soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The bed comfy. The dry sauna was also very nice.
They do not have a water station on site to fill your water bottle. When I asked where I could fill it up the response was the water is drinkable (which I knew). It would have been nice if I was directed to the large sink on the second floor, which I discovered on my own the second day. The parking lot is TERRIBLE if you drive a pickup truck or larger SUV. My partner needed to do a multi-point turn on the western corner with his Silverado. We barely made it around the building which is a requirement because it only has 'space' for one-way traffic. That was with no snow or ice. I hope they block off the back western parking stalls when it snows.

Nice location for touring Lake Louise & Lake Moraine or Banff. Canmore has lots to do also and a nice downtown. Base camp rooms are big, comfortable with nice shower. Trains run past the back of the property but we’ll constructed to keep the noise out. Staff are very attentive
Breakfast options not much better than those at one and two star properties. Very , very, very annoying and invasive digital check in … I already provided this info via Booking.com. Then it keeps sending more messages during the stay. Offensive stern language in a disembodied text messages with impersonal themes like: “Dont even think of asking for extended check out, cause we don’t do that” followed by another “What time are you leaving? We hope it’s early because housekeeping needs to clean your room “

Studio with lovely kitchen, wanna have this at home. Big king bed and tv. Coffee machine at the room was a Keurig. I loved the rocky mountain bodywash with coconut and olive oil. Shower in the washroom. We where located on ground floor close to the reception hardly any noise. Less mountain view. Restaurant 10 min walking distance; the Grizzly paw pub, good food great service. Conversation by email was smooth, check in friendly
Breakfast coffee Jura beans delicious but breakfast for such a luxery hotel a bit poor. Only bead, butter, jam, peanutbutter and orange jus. Place a waffelmaker, chereals creamcheese and an egg in would gave this place a 9

I liked the location and the ease of checking in. It has all the amenities you need. Big comfy bed. We were close to many places in Canmore, the parking was easy and the hotel desk person was very nice. No stress stay, and they have a sauna, we did not use as we came from a SPA but it's a good perk to have.
Did not like the breakfast. Did not see it was just a packed snack box. Would have likely chosen a different place if I had known there was no real breakfast. Chose this place over another one for that. It was pretty cold during the night, the duvets were very slim. During the evening we did not find how to turn up the heating a bit more. Maybe we missed something.

It was very cozy, and quaint. Small little hotel but didn’t have to check in, didn’t need a key card, didn’t need to check out, it was very easy. Bed was super comfy, and there was no noise. The room was also very clean and had nice amenities.
Parking was very crammed and not amazing. The train was very very loud it’s right outside the room. Also we missed breakfast as it is not available very long. Room was also extremely small, for what I paid for. Just small and crammy feeling. Not worth what I paid for. Television had now channels or netflix option which annoyed us.

Great little breakfast. Loved not having a room key but a code. Very clean.
Parking was tight. Shower only had half glass so was spraying out in the bathroom.

The location is great (20 minute drive to Banff, lots of restaurants and stores nearby) and it’s maintained very well. The rooms were pretty clean. There was a bit of noise from the trains but not enough to bother us. The dry sauna was good as well. The breakfast basket they provide is very useful for hikes and keeps you on the go, until you find a breakfast place to eat.
Could pay a bit more attention on cleanliness. There was some hair in the shower that was present before we got the room. There was a kitchen available with kettle and microwave, but not bowls/plates/utensils.

There were stemless wine glasses in the room. So much better than the plastic we were expecting, for the price of the room. The little bowl of earplugs was a good thought, considering the traffic noise and the 3am train.
Mild confusion based on the hotel chain name. We attempted to enter the room at the very visible roadside signs for “BaseCamp” Resorts located immediately beside “BaseCamp” Lodge. Imagine the tenants surprise lol!

Fire place in room was amazing! Sauna at the hotel - hot enough. View from lounge zone at second floor was really perfect for morning coffee.
Not enough outlets beside a bad. Only at the last day I recognize the outlets was in the lamp base beside the bad. Its so invisible for ordinary person and no one didn't told me about that... I charge my phone at the coffee place in 5 meters out of bad..

The Basecamp Lodge is a perfect homebase for when you're exploring the Nationalparks around all day. It's definitely cheaper than the places available in Banff and just requires 20 min more driving time. What we particularly appreciated was the small breakfast basket and the coffee machine in the room for full flexibility in the morning. You can even get the breakfast basket to go if you want to leave very early. The staff was very nice and helpful! We haven't spent much time in the room, but overall it was really comfortable and great to rest after a long day outside. We would stay here again.
We did not dislike anything, the only things to mention are: The area around the hotel was just okay, nothing special, there are plenty of food options and a small convenience store. And the train tracks run right behind the hotel, but if you keep the windows closed you can barely hear it though and the hotel offers free ear plugs!
