Easily accessible from the air Terminals on the inter-terminal train; that was welcome after a long flight. A quite large room with good views over the terminals and surrounding area. Excellent coffee machine in the room. The food and service in the cafe/restaurant on the ground floor were very good - I had breakfast, lunch and an evening meal there. Bathroom area well organised and efficient.

I could not at first find the coffee machine in the room. It is tucked away in an alcove which you would not necessarily think of inspecting. A sign on the desk might be helpful. Also, the reading light over the desk is not really bright enough for reading (if any guests have time for that).

Convenient restaurant open until 12:30/close proximity to Terminal 3/quiet. We have been staying at the Alt when travelling through Pearson International, since the Alt was first opened. It is pleasantly quirky but suits us well as we have travelled frequently over the years and this feels like a bit of a European experience, which we love.

While I like the European-style key-activated lighting, it does not allow for individual lights to be on unless all lights are on. Thus, one person reading using the convenient reading light requires that all lights in the room be on. How eco-friendly is that? Also, a night light in the bathroom should be mandatory in all hotels - there is not one at Alt. Older folks who might have to transition to the bathroom several times a night must navigate a room with which they are not familiar, with no light (or all lights). Very poor design feature.

I think the rooms were very modern and had a European feel to them. I like that look. I also liked the "ledge" in the bathroom to put ones toiletries on. It was spacious and worked very well. I was alone, but if my spouse had been with me, that ledge could easily have supported all of our toiletries. Also, this hotel had a bar / pizza oven right in the lobby, so it animated the lobby and was very convenient to just go sit down. Everything is very clear how to move around with minimal effort to figure out where to go. Also, I did not know how to find the parking, so the front desk person actually walked me out the front door and showed how to park. That was very thoughtful and i have never seen that level of help before.

My pet peave is that there is no night light for us older people who get up once or twice in the night to use the toilet. That should be an easy think to accommodate.

Good location. Very comfortable rooms. Food in the restaurant was excellent and good value considering the location.

There is no signage to the hotel at the Viscount shuttle station . Arriving late on a snowy night, we would have appreciated something showing us which way to go. For those reading this review, you take the escalator down and turn left out of the exit. It's an easy five minute walk but freezing at this time of year so be prepared.

Train to airport , access to hwys … great staff ..nice facility ..fantastic for storing luggage for us ..

Doors on bathroom are impractical..restaurant needs a little more variety and the kitchen staff need more attention to detail - wrong food order ..folding boxes and not washing hands before tossing cheese on pizza … food safe refresher in order…wait staff were great ..need fridge in room ..Alt hotel in Calgary has better setup with two choices of restaurant and better bathroom configuration..still love Alt hotel

The Alt is easy to get to on the free monorail that links terminals 1 and 3 of the airport. It is easy to use and offers interestingly designed rooms that offer maximum control of light and sound. It is well comfortable. Its snack bar restaurant is the very model of adequacy, including stocking half a dozen decent beers. It takes 40 minutes - 30 on a good day - to reach Downtown, so makes a sensible option for a city break.

All lodgings in or around Toronto are obscenely expensive. Such is the price of having a peaceable country with great values, run by remarkably pleasant people. The Alt is NOT obscenely expensive but it ain't cheap neither.

Location is perfect as it is located at the airport. Hop on the inter-terminal tram train (free) and hop off at Viscount Parkade and walk approx. 100 steps outside to the hotel entrance. The bldg is concrete construction and rooms are very quiet. Despite it being located at the airport and surrounded by freeways, you rarely hear a plane or traffic noise. If you have a lengthy layover, the staff is happy to store your luggage after checkout and you can hop back on the inter-terminal train to the UP Express station, buy a ticket and hop on it and spend several pleasant hours sightseeing in downtown TO.

Location is excellent. I arrived to terminal 1 and was able to take the train 2 stops get off at Visconti, walk down the escalator, then a short walk and you are there. Also, my flight departed the next morning and it was a super short reverse course to get back to the airport in the morning.

I didn’t have Canadian dollars to pay cash but they took credit card to pay for the food. It’s a bit pricey but location location location.

I love that I could roll my luggage cart up to my room from the airport . The staff was accommodating and very friendly . We asked to get some food heated up and they sent a microwave, we asked about tea and they sent a kettle !! How awesome ❤️

We loved everything about the hotel . Only thing that would make it better is to have milk for tea ( not creamer ) but that’s the only thing we didn’t like . We bought milk so it’s all good

Location for shuttle to airport was 1 minute walk. and connection from shuttle to train to downtown was easy and excellent. 30mins total to downtown.

Very dull grey interior of hotel. Very boring. Bathroom had no proper door for quiet privacy. No mirror in room. Coffee machine tucked away in awkward corner. Only 1 seat in room for 2 persons. Very modern, basic functional, but thoroughly dim and depressing designed hotel.
