Pete was very welcoming and we used WhatsApp to message each other leading to arrival. Pete took the time to show various places on a map which he offered for my use. The location is awesome. The view is just as described. One night the view was great and there was a girls choir with a concert down the street which I could hear while looking out at the terrific view of the castle. The apartment is within 50 yards of the Pile gate and city bus stop which leads to the old city. Great location!

I did not having to pay cash. I had to go to the bank and withdraw funds on a higher conversion rate wit a bank charge.

Loved the location. The room was small but clean and very efficient with a beautiful view. We love loved walking around the area. The owner was very nice and helpful. We appreciated the fact that he called our private guide and driver to explain how to get to our location.

Our driver was not able to drop us off directly in front of the entrance. We had a little trouble finding the place on our own. We had to ask for help to find the place. There were a few stairs that we had to manipulate with luggage. The air conditioner in our room was a little tricky to operate but Eddie was able to set it at a comfortable setting for us.

Location is the most perfect, just at the entrance of the old city and walking distance from all main attractions, meeting points for all tours, and the bus station/taxi. The view from the room is amazing! The apartment has all one can need, very clean, with good AC. The building is very safe, and there is space to leave the luggage after check out, which was very useful. The host is amazing, he helped a lot with many instructions and tips on where to go and what to do around, which was very useful, considering that it was peak of the season. It's definitely worth money.

Eddie welcomes you like he would a friend. Asks what we are here for (may sound weird, but he really wants you to have a nice time), then recommends things to do, places to eat and what to avoid. Really nice guy. The location is, well... couldn't be better in my view. Right next to the Bus stops, taxi rank, North City gate, "Kings Landing" site (for those GoT fans). Even a small market 100m away. Photo is view from window.

Our room was a tad small. Functional, but only just enough room for the suitcases. Fridge and Kettle, yes, but no space to sit and drink whatever you may have brought. On the other hand, we were not there to sit in the room, right? Eddie: A shelf above the table would make all the difference !

Staying at Eddie's while I visited Dubrovnik made my experience so perfect. It is just outside the walls and a nice, quick walk to the gate. The view from the room was perfect. I sat in the window watching the morning arrive and honestly it was one of my favorite moments of my trip. The view of the water and the walls with a full room couldn't be beat. It was also very close to a small less crowded beach with 2 fun bars in the cove. It was also near a nice breakfast stop to watch the morning with views of the city walls. Eddie was so nice, what a great host. I will never forget him. He answered all of my questions, gave me recommendations on where to go and was so friendly. He also helped me navigate how to get to the rooms from the airport and was very responsive as I was setting up this stay. The room was comfortable. the windows were sound proof but you do get noise from the adjacent rooms. The rooms and property were secure and I felt very safe staying there by myself. I would recommend Eddie's for your stay in Dubrovnik

more outlets but this was a problem in most rooms in croatia

The location is excellent - ask to see the view over the cove from Eddie's own room if he's around. This is a personable small hotel that offers good value for a really central location, less than a minute from the old gate to the old town. It's quiet at night, or at least was on the night I stayed. I stayed in the small room on the third floor which was fine for my needs, travelling alone. There's a communal outdoor space by the entrance, which feels like a hostel space with guidebooks etc, though it wasn't used when I was there.

Probably not one for elderly who don't want to manage carrying bags up stairs (if staying on upper floors) - but Eddie is happy to help.

Location was perfect and so convenient. 2 minute walk to swimming beaches and Pile Gate. The view of the Sea and boardwalk from window was a welcome bonus especially after being enclosed in a walled city. Great value and ideal for budget travelers. Room and bathroom were clean. Owner Eddie was very nice and he mentioned he lives on top floor and brother lives on bottom.

I think with a few upgrades and some feminine touches the place would be a perfect 10… but thumbs down for instant coffee, polyester blankets and unattractive welcoming area

The view of the sea and surrounding landscape from the room window was breathtaking. Eddie is a warm, generous, and very helpful host. He met us at the door, even though we were a few hours early, he went over a map and made great suggestions on where to go, eat, etc. He is a wonderful host, brought us towels for the beach and made is feel at home. The rooms are compact but designed very well with excellent lighting, shelves, a little coffee area. Stools to sit and state at the sea.

Eddie spent a few minutes with us before check in and provided a thoughtful and invaluable orientation about Dubrovnik. This helped us focus on where to confidently invest the limited time we had, during our stay. We had the room with a window and sea view, just a very short stroll from the city wall and across the street from the taxi / Uber pick up spot. This is preferred because the pedestrian zones in and out of the city are very congested. The location could not have been any better. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. Although the room was not huge, it was actually more spacious than what we were expecting in the surrounding neighborhoods of an ancient city. We appreciated the old wood accents and stone wall interior. The view of the water and activity below was beautiful and interesting. We had some special requests and Eddie was hands-on and super accommodating, which meant a lot to us. He personalized our experience and we will keep that at the forefront of our memories. Thanks, Eddie...until next time! :)

I had a wonderful stay here and highly recommend this accomodation for those wanting to stay in the best location in Dubrovnik! It’s worth getting a room with the sea view - it looks like something straight out of a postcard. Eddie was very helpful and made me feel very welcome and relaxed on arrival. He had excellent advice and recommendations of the best places to visit in the area. Everything is within walking distance and very close. I especially enjoyed swimming at Dance beach just a short walk over the other side of the fort and down to the sea. This place is absolutely worth the price and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if I return to Dubrovnik.
