Blue bay lodges are a series of nicely located and appointed small self-service apartments with a nearby (free) beach with lots of services and a lovely setting and beach location. It is really quiet, although, inside a big residential private area. It should be a prime location and vacation spot for golf lovers, as it has its own nicely appointed golf course.

The unit we got did not have a real queen/king bed, only two separated single beds, put together, so not the best bed arrangement for couples.

The access to the Blue Bay is included, otherwise is 14 USD per person. Walking 15 min or drive 5 min. The kitchenette has an electric cooktop, fridge, microwave, toaster, tea kettle, lavazza cofee machine. Be sure to ask where the cutlery are because there is hidden drawer 😀. We also had a broom to clean the sand. The housemaid is coming M-W-F. We stayed for the New Year Eve and we received a bottle of champagne from the reception! Spending New Year in Blue Bay is a MUST, you celebrate twice ! One at 7 pm, when is the New Year in Netherlands and the 2nd one at minight in Curaçao. We celebrated the 3rd one, at 1 am when it was the New Year in Canada! We rented a car from the airport and go to the supermarket at 10-15 min drive. There are 2 supermarkets very close. We visited other beaches but Blue Bay beach is on our top 5, it’s clean, no loud music, the water is perfect for snorkeling or diving.

The TV had some streaming issues but it was not important for us.

Love the location. It’s about 10 mins from the airport and city. Love the Blue Bay compound…very secure and beautiful facilities especially the beach.

Wish there was a pool close to the lodges. Also, each unit should be equipped with basic cleaning supplies (mop, broom, etc) for families with kids so they could clean up minor messes in the room.

The resort is very big and beautifully structured. I want to give a special thank you to the security team that was in charge the night of 30th July to 31st in the morning. My 4 year child who has a speech delay went out in the middle of the night. The security team found him on the street and managed to find our lodge and bring our kid to us. I am very thankful that the resort is well equipped with security who are watchful and committed to doing their job

Because of the incident with my child, it would be great if they could put a child lock on the doors. Especially for parents with kids that have developmental delays or special needs kids.

The staff at the reception office were amazing! They were very accommodating and the suggestions they made really helped to improve my stay at Blue Bay Resort. The room was exactly the way the pictures represented it to be. The staff at the restaurant by the beach were awesome! They catered to me and my needs and felt like family!

The beach was further away from my lodging than I expected from the booking. The description says it's an 8-minute, 10-minute and 1,750 feet from property. It was more like a 15-minute walk (in the heat) from the beach. Ultimately, I rented a car and that eliminated me having to walk to the beach and to the restaurant. I was in Lodge #15 and the TV reception was horrible. I was unable to watch TV the entire time I was there because the signal was constantly going in and out. It was annoying and disappointing, as I like to use the TV as background noise. I was unable to do so the entire time I was there.

We loved the location, the scenery, the beach, although a car is recommended as the walk is a decent one. We were happy they put the dryer rack for drying clothes and glad for the broom and scoop to help clean up. We felt very safe and comfortable , loved the black out curtains!

The twin beds, they were a lot smaller than we thought it would be, but we pushed them together so it would be more comfortable to sleep in. We did like that the next day , a flat mattress was placed over the beds, so there was no more potential gap to sink in. Also I was surprised there was no cutlery, like spoons , knife or forks, so I had to buy a cutting knife and disposable spoons and forks, could have also done with some wiping clothes and kitchen sponges . The fridge size is great. I would recommend a mat to wipe feet at entrance to limit sand coming in the place. However, great stay overall.

Decent sized room, we loved that it had a kitchen. It was nice they provided some dish soap and rags to help us clean the kitchen. Comes with acess to blue bay beach. You 100% need a car. But once you have a car its in a centeral location to explore all parts of the island.

They only clean the rooms MWF. We were there Thursday - Monday so our room was cleaned once on Friday. By the end of it the room was pretty dirty with sand and dirt. In oder to exchange beach towels you have to bring them to the office or they have to be in the room while they are cleaning but we were using the towels in the middle of the day when they cleaned. They are pretty strict with early check ins or you can pay a fee. There is techniacally not a pool attached to the lodges but there are other pools with in Blue Bay that we found and used.

Our lodges were located closely to each other. It is on a very quiet spot at Blue Bay Area. The lodges are very nice and situated near Blue Bay beach. A car is a must have to get around Curaçao and within the Blue Bay Area.

A shared pool would be nice to have as Blue Bay beach quickly gets full and in case no beds/chairs available you need to leave the area for other beaches.

The lodge was much nicer than I had expected, for such a hot country, it was very cool inside and I had no issues with the lodge at all. The beach was a mere 5 minute drive away, with free access to guests staying in the lodges. Probably the best beach I visited in my time in Curacao, quick service bar, with great cocktails. My friend has a gluten allergy, and the resturaunt on the beach was very accomodating.

The room was great, but if i had to make a single complaint, it would be that the air-conditioner made a banging noise periodically throughout the night. It did not wake me. But since booking is asking for some feedback, that is all I have.

Beach was amazing, for me, the best in the island. The food at beach restaurant were really very good. Also cocktails from the bar at the beach were great. Stuff at the hotel were very friendly , people at the restaurant were ok.. Overall, I think it was very cozy and sweet. Room had really high ceiling that made it feel very spacious.

They can do something for the mosquitos, they could give us some repellent for the room. They have a weird coffee machine that you can only buy cups from reception. they are not too expensive but why.. They also need to have a proper first aid kit available, they had nothing and we had to find a pharmacy on Sunday. It was not critical but if someone has a serious cut or an allergy at night, they have nothing. It is not that difficult to keep some basics for safety! You have to walk 10 min to the beach but if you rent a car to go around the island, they you go to the beach also with it. they could offer some bikes or electric scooters.
