Driving over to my unit, which seemed not like what the photos I'd seen had advertised (e.g. apartments looking over a swimming pool), I became wary. I arrived at a motel-like space as opposed to hotel. However, as soon as I stepped into my room, I was won over. It was a gorgeously decorated spacious room, with the requisite Colonialistic artwork you'd expect from Colonial Williamsburg, plus mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. I was instantly immersed in comfort.

<-- any frowny face is just too much; I loved my visit. Just, I was gone all day after I checked in, and would have thought the room would have been attended to while I was gone (e.g a coffee refresher), but upon returning in the evening I found everything the same. However, I'm certain I could have directly asked for more coffee and gotten it anyway. :-D Everyone working at Westgate was responsive to my expressed needs. That's all any staff can do, so that's all that matters. I'll book with Westgate again. Thanks, gang! B-)

Loved the Queen villa the patio was nice for sitting out the bed was so comfortable the room was nice ! . all though it rained the whole weekend there was plenty to do around town and at the resort..

The only negative was the bath towels..it was like drying off with sandpaper..they were so stiff and coarse.. wouldn't hurt to get some plush soft bath towels or even using fabric softener could help .

Location was great. Room was nice although our room was very small like a child’s bedroom with a small bathroom. Bed was super comfy!!! First time having a comfortable bed at a hotel!

Small room and bath. Also, saw a cockroach in the closet the day before our scheduled departure which led to us leaving and heading on home right then. We ended up spending $150 per night so we lost our $150 for not staying. Unfortunately, we just couldn’t stay after seeing the cockroach! Eeesh!!!

Everything was perfect and beyond what we expected, we were just looking for a place to spend the night and wanted to stay more. They have little games and scavenger hunts for children. I would recommend it to anybody who wants to have a good time.

The check-out was a little troublesome. We requested a late check-out but after they told us they could give us an extra hour, we got locked out of the room and had to wait for 30 minutes to be able to recover our bags.

The "villas" in this hotel are outstanding! Beautiful kitchen and large comfortable sitting area, lovely bedrooms, well-appointed bathrooms -- if you are in Williamsburg with friends or family it is outstanding to be together in this accommodation. The location is also excellent; quite near William & Mary and close to the colonial area.

Super clean, new decor, and *very* clean and comfortable beds. Nice spacious room and bathroom. The exterior of the little bungalows we stayed in was also all very clean and tidy. Good activities and facilities for families.

The location was good for access to things but wasn't super scenic. But really excellent for access and families.

The location was great.

Our room was dirty. There was trash behind the bathroom door and dirt on the toilet.

The staff was wonderful and helpful. The location was perfect, close to everything. The room was attractive and, for the most part, comfortable.

The shower was bad to leak on the floor. There are also several lights in the room, the TV red dot, the microwave clock, light on air conditioner, fan light on wall...it adds up. You might want to pack a sleep mask. Thermostat is hard to understand.

Staff was exceptional - took care of every request. Rooms, linens, bathrooms are clean. Parking is right outside rooms. Great location - only 1 mile from Colonial Williamsburg.

Carpets seemed worn. One lamp didn't work. Even if it had, I would like more lights in the room.

Location was excellent, bed and temperature control, coffee pot, and frig worked well and were convenient. Pool was nice, there were life vests, and I liked the resort activities. The responses to my text requests were prompt.

The things I disliked were minimal. Pool was far enough from my room that I had to drive. There were no restrooms at the pool which was inconvenient. All amenities like coffee or trash replacement and removal were communicated through text, and I found the coffee refill pouches strapped to the outside of my door.
