Breakfast was very good. The location was perfect-- it allowed for free parking. Finding a place to stay within walking distance was exceptional. Meeting Alex was very enjoyable, very personable. There were games if we chose to play them. The candy, nutrition bars, and other snacks was a nice touch.

The person who greeted us did not know anything about any event in Williamsburg. Seemed odd since she represents hospitality to the area. Stating that the walking distance was "2 and a half blocks" was misleading since it was further. It didn't create a problem for us, but it was further. There were no brochures or other information about Williamsburg in the room. Would have been nice to have had some.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I appreciated the added security of every room locking individually with an individual key. Colonial Williamsburg, dining, The College of William and Mary, and plenty of other things are extremely close by. The gentleman who welcomed us to the home was polite, entertaining, and very helpful. He knew the area, and he was quick to help with recommendations for food and entertainment.

The home needs some minor repairs. The drywall patches and mud were not sanded before painting. There were some holes in the drywall, and the shower did not drain properly. Also, the rooms do not have televisions.

At soon we arrived at this beautiful old house, Alex opens the door, and everything was pleasant, very friendly, relax. and honest greeting. We want to smell history at Williamsburg, and this place was the perfect place. He is a great host and he not only know his business, but he also really enjoys it doing. He has a very modest and humble personality and that is a plus for everything. Great breakfast, on time and relax. A quiet place at night, when you had a very busy and long day visiting the Colonial Williamsburgh. Yes, we recommend this place.

Bathroom very small.

Cedars is in the perfect location for exploring Colonial Williamsburg, being only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the historc area and the restaurants and shops. It's an old property and full of character, which we loved. The breakfasts were delicious and filling - Alex prepared a different, fresh offering every day of our stay. If you're fortunate you'll get to sample his freshly baked spinach quiche. Our breakfast conversations with Alex were very enjoyable and a great way to get to know other guests.

This is a quaint B&B located a 10 minute walk from Colonial Williamsburg. It has charm and you feel you are "back in the day". We like that the polar was open to us to grab a snack, tea/coffee and water at our convenience. Check in was a breeze and the inn keeper Mary Susan, Leroy the cook and Alex the owner were super accommodating, easy to talk to and very accessible if necessary. The homemade breakfasts each day were yummy and if you need a special accommodation (vegan, gluten free etc.) they were happy to oblige. We thoroughly enjoyed Alex's stories each morning of the area and his friendly demeanor. He is funny and charismatic. He makes you feel right at home.

If you have preference to stay in the main house as opposed to staying in the back cottage, make sure to mention this at the time of booking. While the cottage is charming, I would have preferred to stay at the main house. That's just me. Some may prefer the cottage. Note the Juniper Room where we stayed is on the upper floor of the cottage and if you are limited in your mobility this may pose a problem.

The location was great- very close to Colonial Williamsburg and easy to find. The breakfasts were exceptionally good- not really any choices to be made, but what was selected for you was first-rate and delicious. Everyone that worked there was super-friendly and helpful.

We were not made aware that our reserved room was on the third floor (and no elevator). My wife has an extremely difficult time getting up stairs, and I would have changed the reservation if I had known what was in store for her. Also, I was surprised to learn upon arrival that there is no television in our room, only in a common room on the main floor.

Location, breakfast, staff all fabulous and the layout to be able to have social time with friends that were also staying there was great. Bed was comfortable and bathroom had everything we needed. Was a great stay and we'd visit again.

I needed to drink more water and the pitchers in the breakfast room ran out quickly so we just had bathroom faucet access. So only suggestion is more water :-) Apologies if there was some located elsewhere and I just didn't know/ask.

The B&B is charming, and the owner and staff are lovely. I was so impressed that the owner really made it a priority to individually connect with each guest, and we really enjoyed chatting with him. They were also very accommodating to my various food allergies, and the breakfasts were filling, delicious, and beautiful! The location is also great, right across the street from William & Mary, so it's easy to walk to Merchants' Square and Colonial Williamsburg.

A wonderful stay from begin to end. The house is cozy and charmingly decorated for the Christmas season. The owner is friendly and accommodating, taking time to engage in fun conversation with his guest. Our room was cute and comfortable, and our breakfast each morning was visually appealing and delicious. Truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had. I highly recommend, and will book again for future visits.

We enjoyed the location and the cozy feeling of the property. The owners gave a great culture to the house. We enjoyed the home-made breakfast and conversation with the owner each morning.

While the bathroom in our room was nice, it was a bit cramped. However the house was also an original historical house.
