Great staff, nice included breakfast, comfy and clean rooms. Good amount of amenities. Vending machines, hot drink machine and bar drinks are also 24hrs access which was nice. There was also a small pub restaurant next door that was lovely, literally right next door.

The parking costing around £20 a day! That's with a discount that you get upon checking in. If you don't check in first and get the discount, it's about £30 a day. (This isn't the hotel's fault technically, as another service owns the car park.) However, for one of the most expensive holiday inns I've ever stayed in, that's quite the price. Also, if you are staying for the NEC please be aware it isn't really a walkable distance as all around it is a huge set of roads and motorways. So you will either have to drive and pay for parking at the NEC or take a taxi and pay £5 per trip.

The location was perfect for the airport with only a 10 minute drive, when I arrived to check in the reception staff were very helpful and we only had a few minutes to wait for our room. The room itself was small but adequate for our 1 night stay. The breakfast in the morning was buffet style and was very good with plenty of choice. For anyone visiting the NEC or travelling to the airport I would highly recommend it.There is also a very nice country style pub next door with Good food and good ale, so another plus to stay at this hotel.

Honestly nothing to dislike, ok 1 thing the bacon was slightly overcooked ha ha.

I liked everything about this hotel, super comfy beds, quiet rooms, super clean, fluffy towels, shower gel and shampoo provided. The reception is a lovely place to relax, the bar too. I was blown away with the quality and choice at breakfast. You could eat as much as you wished. Tables were being cleaned as soon as vacated. Every member of staff were friendly, helpful and smiley. To top it all, there is a lovely oldie world pub right next door. I will 100% stay there next time I'm in Birmingham 😊....and no I don't work for the hotel group lol

The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and fresh with the only negative being the shower was very low water pressure. Oddly exactly the same as the hotel (same chain) we stayed in Stoke on Trent the night before. (perhaps it's the choice of pump? Or company that installed the shower systems didn't install the correct ones for the amount of rooms? The room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. There is a lovely pub next door to the hotel that offers a good selection of drinks and food. Not a Harvester or chain!

It took a while to check in becuase the young lady couldn't find our booking. In the end, another colleague assisted us and found it straight away. Perhaps some further training required? The shower pressure was awful and the breakfast was cold. All the containers, beans, bacon, sausages and hash browns were all cold. I did let the receptionist know and they attended to it straight away but I assumed there would be a manager to cover the floor and check this? It didn't stop us from eating it though. A shame as everything else was very good.

We believe that the customer services here really stand out and possibly the best we've experienced. At 3am our air conditioning unit developed a fault this was reported to reception and within 5 minutes the lady was at our room. An alternative room was offered but we loved the bed in the original room. The following morning we went to hand the key back to the room we chose not to move too and the lady (possibly manager) was so apologetic and looked at alternatives. Every member of staff went over and beyond and made our stay extremely enjoyable. The breakfast is continental however, a full English is there available for you to enjoy too. Fantastic stay and will definitely return. Massive well done to each and every member of staff you are all outstanding.

It was very hot in communal areas and in the room. Couldn't work out how to turn down the heat in our room. Breakfast was very busy as warned. The staff did an amazing job, looking after everyone,but struggled to keep up with so few of them on duty. They were constantly running out of crockery and cutlery. A couple more on busy pre Christmas weekends would be better for both staff and residents .

We had some issues upon arrival with a failed payment due to the payment being taken from our card by Booking.com at an unexpected time. This was absolutely no fault of the hotel or staff, however they immediately took it upon themselves to do all they could to resolve the situation for us. One staff member in particular, Naz, was absolutely brilliant. She checked all of their systems thoroughly for the payment and advised us on the best process, allowed us to go up to the room so we could contact Booking.com customer service in peace before we had actually paid, and got everything resolved for us quickly! We go to UKGE at the NEC every year and this is definitely now the only hotel for us each and every year.

Fantastic comfortable room with everything you need to have a great stay. I loved that there were tea/coffee making facilities (with decaf coffee, v. important for me!) and an ironing board and iron, choice of hard or soft pillows, Lovely little details. Breakfast was amazing and varied and it was part of the cost of the room which was great. The evening meal was delicious. Such a clean, modern and happy place to stay!

The location for me was a bit awkward, the X12 bus is very confusing (No stop on the opposite side of the road to get back to the airport as the male receptionist at the hotel had informed me) I had to end up walking to the airport with heavy bags. Car drivers and those getting a taxi here would have no issues. On the way there be careful as the X12 bus will leave you at the wrong hotel (Holiday Inn but not Holiday Inn Express), the bus drivers didn´t seem to know or care where the hotel was even though i showed them the hotel name and address clearly. This is no fault of the hotel but just important info for those staying who are travelling on foot. Best to get a taxi here!

The food choices were good both dinner and breakfast. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was hot and powerful. I liked the dual closed positions of the bathroom door. I had never seen that before.

The staff were friendly, but they had run out of ale, so my only option was the dreaded larger. One of the room key cards was not properly programmed, which resulted in me having to go back to reception, leaving my wife standing outside our room until I returned. I did not feel that we needed to take both key cards down to dinner. There was no green tea either in our room or available at breakfast, leaving my wife drinking plain boiled water. There was no option for oat milk, so she couldn't have coffee either.

Easy to find, room good with good facilities. Staff attentive and very helpful - both at reception & in restaurant. Food was good too.

Parking is more complicated than it needs to be. I downloaded the app, but I saw lots of people struggling to pay for their parking at the machines. Out-sourcing parking is not great for guests. Other hotels do not charge for parking. I was not able to walk to the venue I was at due to the lack of pavements/ paths for pedestrians. The area is set up for traffic with little consideration for the environment & the possibility that people might want to walk. This is not a hotel problem, but an area planning problem. I was very disappointed about this.
