Le Marius was the perfect stopover. We are driving to the South of France from England, and it was perfect for a night's stay after arriving into France. The village is so beautiful, and the rooms were great. Very spacious and comfortable. The bathtub tiles in our room were gorgeous! There is a pretty little terrace outside and it's perfect for having a drink and some food al fresco. It was exactly what we wanted after a long drive in the car. The hotel is right next to the church too, which looks very beautiful. Thank you!
I would have loved a cafetiere (French Press) for coffee in the morning, instead of the 'machine' coffee! Also, the soap in our bathtub was empty. But these are very small things that could have been improved, I'd definitely stay here again!

Lovely, large room, with incredibly friendly staff who can't do enough for you. The bed is comfortable, and it is only a short walk to several Champagne houses for a tasting or purchase. We ate very well at La Galette Ricetonne, a 10 minute walk but well worth going to - the food was excellent, some rare Burgundy rosé was available, and the service impeccable. The hotel breakfast was also outstanding, so I would highly, highly recommend adding it on - fresh bread, jam made with champagne grapes, I would have stayed another night just to have that again. We bought 2 jars to take home!
We arrived on a Sunday, and so not much was open. We walked to the neighbouring village, but there had been a power cut due to the storm the day before, so the hotel restaurant there was not serving food to the public, only hotel guests. A real shame, as the area is like a French Cotswolds, and had we stayed another day in the week (and had there not been a power cut), I am sure it would have been perfect. Not necessarily negative, but more a point to bear in mind when planning your trip!

The staff/proprietors were extremely friendly and helpful. It was a quiet season and not everything was fully open, but the staff were easily contactable and quick to respond to any needs. The room was really spacious and the bathroom (with a full bath) was great.
As the hotel's restaurant wasn't open when I was there, it would have been helpful to have some advance warning about this and some advice on where else to go - the village is very quiet and not much is open!

Great little hotel, very comfortable rooms and beds, very clean, nice layout of the rooms. We had a family room which was perfect for our family of 5 (kids aged 6,3 and 1) We arrived quite late (7pm) and were immediately seated in the restaurant and had a simple but delicious meal with a glass of champagne. Really enjoyable, nice, quiet, clean hotel - perfect for our stop on the way back to Calais.
Everything was great!

It was in a pretty town. The room we stayed in was delightful. The hotel had lots of character. Sadly the night we stayed it was raining so we could not have a drink outside and gaze at the church opposite. They were not serving a full meal but had what they called bar food and snacks which was a light meal. The staff, especially the gentleman serving breakfast which was great, was charming.

The breakfast was very good, served in a lovely room. The whole building was lovely in fact, very old with beautiful wooden beams and staircases. Our room was on the second floor and was very spacious. Although there is no longer a restaurant the hotel does serve a choice of hot food for dinner, cheese or charcuterie boards, plus desserts so we were happy with that

This hotel is in a surprisingly nice village. Its acrually in the middle of it so you can walk arrond and see everything. The highlight of the stay was the guy that was taking care of breakfast, very kind, and tried his best to communicate with us in English! Very heartwarming :)
The shower could be a bit cleaner :)

Lovely location adjacent to the church - perfect for watching typical rural French town life from the breakfast salon and bar! Despite restaurant being closed, the tasty bar menu was just right.
Would be nice to have water, tea and coffee in the rooms.

Lovely traditional property over a hundred years old, tastefully and authentically restored with a gîte next door and a restaurant in a vaulted cellar ,serving traditional food which includes the gorgeous , local famous soft cheese Chaource. Champagne, Rosé and Cremant are are made and sold in the village as appellation controle. A spacious and attactive wine château is across the road, within the traditional and tasteful village. Bedroom was tasteful and spacious. Breakfasts are optional and there Is a locked garage space for bicycle storage.
Nothing.....a very tasteful hotel / gite / restaurant.

This hotel has a very peaceful location and is in an ideal position when travelling to the south, or returning. The restaurant is very good, two of our group said the meal was one of the best of the holiday. we look forward to returning next year
Parking looked a little tight for larger cars so we parked on the road in front of the hotel, with no problems.
