The location is amazing - next to the main train station so it's super easy to travel to Monaco, Cannes, Menton, Antibes. The tram to the airport is located about 10' walking and the city beach about 20' away. The district is surprisingly quiet by night and safe. You can order the delicious breakfast for 8€/pax. The building is open 24/7 do you can access with hotel card anytime. Truly recommended. The price was more than reasonable taking into account all facilities.

The private bathroom was tiny and we need to squeeze. Certain parts of the hotel require refurbishment.

We visited Nice in April and so we were looking for a hotel in the city center and close to the train station. The hotel was a 3-4 minute walk to both destinations. So we managed to go to Monaco, Cannes and Antibes. In the evening we could walk around the center and have dinner. Right at the airport exit there is a tram № 2 and it goes close to the hotel (it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk). The price of the tram ticket is 1.50 €. It is possible to leave luggage after we left the hotel. The room was very clean. Breakfast is typically French - croissants, baguettes, nutella, jam, butter, coffee and tea. We ordered breakfast on the spot. It's worth it because cappuccino and coffee in Nice are incredibly expensive.

I recently stayed at Hotel Trocadero in Nice, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the train station and close to the Promenade des Anglais, making it convenient for both exploring the city and enjoying the beach. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, always ready with great recommendations and a smile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the amenities you’d expect. Despite being in the heart of the city, the hotel was quiet, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. I also appreciated the attention to detail, from the quality of the bedding to the tasteful décor that gave the room a cozy, inviting feel. Overall, Hotel Trocadero offers excellent value for money, combining comfort, convenience, and a friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to experience the best of Nice while staying in a charming and affordable hotel.

This is my 3rd time staying here, some of the recent negative reviews made me a little concerned that it had gone downhill. However, the staff were helpful, the rooms were clean and the hotel is well located for transport links. Yes the roads around the hotel lack the glamour of the old town, yes the facilities are quite basic and the rooms could maybe do with a touch-up of paint here and there, but the overall feel is clean and tidy. This time we were lucky enough to get a room on the top floor, this had a more modern and airy feel than those we stayed in previously. Those with numerous negative remarks need to consider the price point of this hotel before criticising it's facilities, window size or wifi speed. Ultimately if you want a hotel that gives you those top level service extras in an expensive city to visit then be prepared to pay more. Overall we were very pleased with another lovely stay here and would stay again.

The only constructive criticism is there was no extractor fan in the fairly small bathroom which did mean after showering that was a bit of a damp smell but this cleared after airing the room for a short while.

The 4 of us stayed at this hotel for a night before he had to leave to the airport next day. We booked this hotel due to its close proximity from the train station as we arrived to Nice by train. Our room was on the top floor and consisted of 2 rooms with rooftop views. Clean, cozy, air conditioned. Let us relax and rest after long day of walking in the heat. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel, however it is provided for additional pay. Staff was pleasant and booked a taxi for us to take us to the airport in the morning. Overall, we had very positive experience with this place.

No locked are in the hotel to leave bags for a few hours after checkout before flight.

Really good location near the train station and main street. The staff were so accommodating (with leaving luggage etc) and all very friendly. Really nice room and bathroom with towels etc being changed each day.

The Wi-Fi is not good in the room, had to go to lobby a few times. We also had issues with flies and mosquitos in our room which was a shame as it meant we couldn’t open the window so got quite hot. But we still really liked our stay at Trocadero 🙂

The room we stayed in was very modern. You could immediately see that the bathroom had been recently renovated to a very high standard. The windows of the room appear to have been upgraded too. Once they were shut, they blocked out all of the sound of the outside world. The curtains on the window were excellent too, as they were "black-out" and kept the room nice and dark in the early morning. The location was great. Just a couple of minutes walk to the train station, or to a tram stop.

The room was a little on the small side, however for what we paid, it was worth it. The pillows on the bed were small, and we only had one each. It would be great to have more pillows. But to be fair, I didn't ask for any more pillows, so it may be a problem that could've been solved very easily by the staff.

Room was clean, bed comfortable. Hotel is located 5min walk from train station, this was important for us as we planned to visit also Cannes, Antibes and Monaco. Room had air condition, which is great, because humidity is high in Nice and is hard to breathe. TV was in room, we had chance to watch few episodes of very good known Charmed :) we had very early flight to Nice and check in is from 2pm, but we left our luggage in hotel and left to beach. There is McDonalds 3min walk from hotel, burgers, shops, pharmacy, tram stations, LIDL is 6min walk, for us perfect.

Internet was a bit slow, but it could be because we were on 3rd floor.

my friends were a bit worried about the location -opp Gate du Nord. It has a bad reputation. I found it fine. I was only hassled once when I first arrived. after that -all good though it is not an area I would walk around solo very late at night. Very easy to get to all the places so wanted to go via bus or metro or even walking. breakfast was in a sister hotel around the corner in a crazy basement like a castle ‘dungeon’. The woman in charge of breakfast was delightful and very accommodating.

The decor was a little tired but … the room was comfy.
