My room on the sixth floor was spacious with a large bathroom, including a separate shower. The bed was very comfortable. However, the parquet floor needs updating. Breakfast was not included and at a cost of €15 was reasonably priced due to the great variety available. The best part for me was the reception desk staff, which was exceptional at all times. The location is very central, but away from the inner city. However, trams and buses from Rudolph Platz run every few minutes and you can reach the main train station, the old city, and the shopping area within minutes.

No safe to store valuables in room. Sure you can use the safe at reception but that is awkward and inconvenient and can take valuable time during busy periods. The cost of stay could be an issue for many travellers to Cologne. You have to plan around the many conventions because prices are during those times very high. So I booked accordingly well in advance, making sure my stay would fall in between convention time. But pricing remained relatively high at this hotel.

The location was good. It was a short taxi ride from the main train station/Dom. The hotel is located on a side street in a nice urban area. My room was on the fourth floor and had no street noise. I felt safe walking around at night. The hotel lobby and the room were clean. Good WiFi. The bathroom had a towel warmer, a nice touch. The breakfast buffet had an extensive selection. The front desk personnel were very helpful. When the concierge called a taxi to take me to the airport, the taxi arrived almost immediately. Overall, a nice hotel.

The bed was uncomfortable (too soft). I had a backache when I woke up the next morning. The carpeting in the hallway was faded and discolored. The hotel needs new carpets and mattresses.

Nice room. Hotel well decorated and very clean. Friendly / helpful staff.

No tea or coffee make facilities in the room. Also, the room was very hot and no aircon to cool it down. Was a bit noisy in our room on the Hohenzollernring side of the hotel (maybe down to Christmas Market). Thought breakfast was a bit overpriced based on the quality and selection of food.

Just off a major route onto the city, easy to find, Underground car park , a ton of eating /drinking /shopping on the doorstep. Reception staff were very helpful. Easy access to s-bahn but also a pleasant walk into the city centre in 15 minutes.

Just one little thing - needs another coffee machine at breakfast. The hotel was packed with football fans on our stay and the queues were crazy, just for coffee.

Very nice hotel. Located in a very cozy area close to a lot of restaurants, bars and parks. Around 30 minutes walk to the Dome and Central station. Good breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Super good WIFI.

Missed air-conditioning, but the rooms had a fan. Wished for two beds but got a double bed, however, this is probably a Booking mistake, not the hotel.

Good location - about 20min walk from the Dom. My room was comfortable and it seems that in a section of the hotel that has been recently remodeled.

I believe it's beyond this hotel particularly, but in general prices are very high for accommodation in this city.

Room 632 was very good. I had enough space for more than 3-4 pieces of luggage and a spacious desk where I could work very well. The room was on the opposite side of the boulevard and was not noisy at all, very clean and with curtains that really block the light in the morning. The fridge and the clothes spaces were spacious.

A bit too warm at night (June 2023)

As a regular visitor to this hotel, I find the hotel a perfect bolthole for the city. It always offers everything you need for a weekend stay in Cologne. Close to shops, amenities and public transport.

Some of the public areas (the bar area etc) are starting to look a bit dated. Bar area could benefit from more seating and offering a place to wait for travelling companions.

Clean and spacious room. Location is great. Wi-Fi connection is very good. Various breakfast options.

The pillows were not so comfortable. There are some stairs before reaching the elevator, so bear it in mind in case you are coming with heavy luggage.

The hotel is in a central position. The room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was very good. The hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful at all times.

Nothing to complain about.
