The things I liked about the hotel was the beds were comfortable to sleep in, the pool was clean, and the lake was a perfect place to relax and enjoy the sound of the exotics birds and animals. I recommend going to the Sauna. The Sauna is a unique room and its relaxes your mind and body. Also the staff are are kind and provide excellent customer service. They work really hard to make the customers feel comfortable and welcome. The food they serve for breakfast and dinner are tasty and organic. I will definitely recommend people to stay at this hotel. It looks fancy with a low budget price:

Our second stay here, this time we brought friends for NYE. The hotel's overall layout is just beautiful, as if it had grown as a part of the jungle. Still it's clean and you'll never tire of the views. Good on site restaurant and bar, friendly staff. We'll always be back.
We stayed in the same room as last time and are beginning to feel that a bathroom refurbishment is getting more urgent. Also we were a little surprised that there was a NYE party, a few months prior the hotel informed us it had no plans for a party which was part of why we chose it. The party however was good (not perfect, too much Reggaeton for that).

I am unsure if it was because we had just spent two nights in the painful, sweltering heat of the jungle (45 degrees Celsius) with no air conditioning and anything with an air conditioner would have made us happy, but we loved this place the instant we arrived! We were welcomed by a delicious jamaica juice welcome drink and a very friendly lady at reception. We were surprised to learn that there was a complementary 1-hour boat ride on the lake every day at 16:45 and that the temazcal (sauna) was also included in the price of the accommodation. The property grounds included a wonderfully kept garden and open grass area by the lakeside as well as a forested area where we say monkeys, squirrels, hummingbirds, iguanas, etc. The gardener Martin was very friendly and saw that we were interested in seeing wildlife, so he pointed out the monkeys (called "bonitos") and told us the local names of the birds and even treated us to some fish seeding. It seems that the stale bread from the restaurant is used to feed the fish at the lake every morning. There were hundreds, if not thousands, of hungry fish gobbling up the bread that we threw into the lake, The room itself was heaven - a beautiful view from the balcony, air conditioning, and a lot of space. We were told at reception that internet was not available in the rooms, but we were surprised to find a network with a very strong, stable, and fast internet connection. This worked out perfectly for me as I was able to work comfortably inside the air conditioned room. There was a table provided in the room, which I turned into my desk. All but one person working at the hotel (a male at reception) were very friendly, from reception staff to restaurant staff, to the gardener. The food at the restaurant is pricey, but good. Note that there really isn't a choice nearby, so you are stuck with the hotel restaurant unless you have your own transport or would like to shell out money for tuk tuks.
Everything was great, except for one not-so-friendly staff member at reception, but that didn't ruin our experience.

what i loved is location. i loved the view from balcony. room was normal. food at the restaurant was good. had pool and some kind of gym. receptionist speaks in english very close to tikal temples. what i loved the most is the nature! it was the best hotel for me because of the nature! those laud monkeys at night and day was soooo coool! as well, the dream of all my life came trough and i saw toucans! woke up with the sunrise and went to walk around the territory, its huge! lots of nature! and stayed by the lake, listened to the sounds of jungles, watched birds, nature etc. it was amazing amazing experience! thank you!
maybe rooms repair? all was generally good.

The property was beautiful but the rooms the patio door got stuck, and also no directory on how to call for service, The front desk weren’t very nice ,also the waiter at the Restaurant with a white shirt was very rude and there was no internet to process my credit card it was very annoying. Prices also are too high on food. also swimming pool are needs to be clean and forbid the use of glass bottles and cups very dangerous.
only the service mostly front desk and main waiter with white shirt

we love the deck , and the staff was beyond amazing! everyone was super nice and helpful. The hotel helped us book a tour to Tikal with Danilo and it was amazing! Beds are comfy , hotel is really nice in the jungle.
The food was great but some nights they only served buffet instead of food a la carte, and it was really expensive and not wow for the prize. Other than that the hotel was amazing will stay here every time I visit Tikal.

I have an autistic boy who enjoys seeing the sunset at Peten Itza Lake. I'm really thankful to all the staff who made my son's dream of having a campfire near the lake while enjoying the sunset. Thank you to Martin, Don Hector, Kevin, and all staff for their assistance throughout our stay in the hotel.
The location is far from our hometown in Guatemala 🇬🇹

The location in a natural reserve with a private beach is exceptional. The facilities are very well kept and staff go above and beyond to make your stay in the hotel and experience in Peten a trip to remember. Kevin Guerra from the reception orgsnized fantastic tours for my family, the service providers were excellent.
I like everything about Camino Real Tikal.

Beautiful location, great lake acces, close to Tikal, great service. The food was good and reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. Would stay again.
We were quite far from the main building, so the WiFi did not reach our room. The door to the bathroom in our room didn't close properly.

The place is awesome and situated in the jungle with access to the lake. You can Kayak and swim and everything was wonderful. The rooms were clean. The pool, lobby and common areas were great too.
Very far from Flores and only one restaurant. Not easy to find somewhere to retrieve money.
