My husband and I were so delighted with our recent relaxing stay at the luxurious Bay View Apartments. It definitely exceeded our expectations! The hosts have done an amazing job with this incredibly well appointed get away. Everything we needed was right at hand. It was well stocked with coffee, tea, cooking spices and wine and champagne were available. The decor, along with the view was gorgeous. There is a well stocked grocery store nearby and the airport is a mere 15 minutes away. There was easy communication with the host who was very friendly and thoughtful. They had the hot tub filled and ready for us upon check-in and even gave us a shout to let us know there were amazing Northern Lights happening one evening. We are already planning our next visit back and cannot recommend it highly enough!

Loved every single moment!

This is a luxery appartement and very spacious in most rooms. Of course the hot tub in the bathroom with the window is a very nice feature, which we really enjoyed. The whole set up looks to me like it's best for a cozy couple retreat.... Hot tub, two showers next to each other, mirror in the bedroom, wine and champagne in the kirchen...everything was very "state of the art". And a stunning view! The contact with the owner was very friendly, we had to inform them that we would arrive a day later due to the bad road conditions and they had everything set up for us so that we could just walk in and enjoy. Thank you.

The appartement offers 4 beds but in the living area there is only one couch, no armchairs, that's just not enough. You can't sit around comfortably with three or four grown up people. The second bedroom is also quite small, probably intended more for children. I was also missing the instructions for the heating and the kitchen appliances. But maybe I just didn't search enough, there were so many drawers. :) and we only stayed for a night. And unfortunately - always a knock-out criterion for me - the bed linen had a “flowery, citrusy detergent or fabric softener smell”. I react to artificial fragrances that are too intense with headaches, in the end I used my snowpants as pillow.

The house is stunning. It's even better than the photos. Everything is very organized and the hot tub is such a nice bonus. We appreciated the opportunity to buy wine and also that there were condiments, etc in the house.

It felt very cold when I arrived. I did not understand the heating system. (my husband knew right away the heat came from the floors- which is a very nice feature. I would have liked an instruction piece of paper on the heat. We also ran out of "cold" water for about a 1/2 hour. But hot water was fine. That was confusing.

This apartment is just amazing! The owners put in so much love, the interior is great and you have everything you need, a dream of a kitchen, also a very nice soundbar, Netflix if you like and so much more. All the details (Qtips and so many other things you could need for example, bath robes, towels etc.) make the place so comfortable. Of course the indoor bathtub with an unbeatable view makes it even more special. Thank you so much for this great time at your place!!

Complicated equipment in the kitchen - no instructions provided. We asked about the hot beverage dispenser and figured that out but the stovetop we couldn’t turn on so we could not cook breakfast. The host offered to send someone but it was too late. We also had some trouble figuring out how to shut the (magnetic) doors. During the night one of our adult children accidentally turned on an outdoor water/cleaning system which was difficult to shut off. Providing instructions for such things would be very helpful to guests.

The owner is very thoughtful and provided almost everything we can ask for to have the guest a comfortable stay. We even see aurora on the second nite.

Unfortunately there was a slight issues with one of the room and the temp was at 17degree to sleep in for our last 2 nites.

The Bay View apartment is a very special place, a big apartment with great style at the sea side. Unforgettable is the sight from the hot tub to the bay, but also the living room and kitchen are simply extraordinary. Gardur is a great base to visit the Reykjanes peninsula and as location nearby the airport. We loved it- and would like to come back!

Amazing view from bath. If we come back to Iceland, we would choose this house again. There was all we need. Hosts took care of every single detail. Everything is high quality. This apartment is for demanding people.

Beautiful quiet location with a fantastic view! If you wait until dark you can see the volcano erupting in the distance. I also liked meeting the owner for a personal tour - a very nice touch.

Point out how to turn on the bathroom shower faucets as it was a bit confusing, but we eventually figured it out. Also, some chairs outside would be nice. I also suggest that the ice cube trays be filled prior to guests arriving or fill the drawer with a bag of ice.

- As beautiful as in picture, and only 15 min away from the airport. It was the perfect place to conclude our trip. - It's in a quiet fishing village, very close to the light houses where you could go and watch wildlife and learn about the town's history. - Very easy to visit attractions on Reykjanes' Blue Diamond route from here - Super well-equipped and the host pays so much attention to details. There's pretty much all amenities you'd need. -The view is breath-taking - The bathtub!!
