We stayed here for 1 night before an early flight back to UK. Our main concerns were proximity to airport and ease of getting there in morning. We were a large group so on arrival we were recommended to get a large minibus for 5 of us with wheelchair/mobility devices, which was all arranged by the receptionist/manager. She also gave us recommendations for dinner. The area had a typical town on edge of airport feel which will always limit potential but it met all expectations.

We delivered our hire car back to airport and got a taxi from there to hotel - couple of miles and were totally ripped off by the taxi driver. I get that it was a short drive rather than the 40kms trip into Rekyavik he wanted but it left a bad taste in my mouth!

Hotel Keilir had the most wonderfull host meeting us at the reception. She arranged our transport to the airport earlier than the hours listed on booking.com and was super nice to talk with. We didn't get to taste the breakfast because our early check-out, but the room met our expectations perfectly. It was clean, comfy and had enough room even with two big suitcases laying around. Beds were also comfortable, linen was fresh and clean and there were small tables with lambs on both sides on the bed, also space for charging phone from the socket. We had beautifull view towards the ocean, which gave us a special memory of super moon and the northern lights during the night. The room had a heater that made adjusting temperature very easy.

Lisa was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly helpful and made our stay extra special. We had a brief stay here as it was just to cover a night stopover but even in that short time, it was a lovely experience! The room was very comfortable, really clean and had everything we needed. The location is great. There's a 24 hour shop a couple of min walk away, a bar opposite (we didn't hear any noise from it) and plenty of food places and shops nearby. Fully recommend staying here.

No elevator so be prepared to carry luggage up several flights.

Location and staff were amazing. It was a great option for us since we had a really early flight the following morning. The room was very comfortable and had a beautiful ocean view. The lady at the reception was so kind to arrange the airport transfer for us even though it was outside the normal schedule. Walking distance from very good local restaurants.

The room was very warm and difficult to cool, even with the window open and outside weather being close to freezing!!

Very good breakfast, give you in the bag and you eat it in your apartment. It so much and with a big variety. Apartment are so beautiful with electric stove and oven, everything is working with a soft touch very modern. Also a fridge, toster Coffe maker. They give you everything to use it with. Friday have buffet breakfast very good.

Everything and very helpful staff specially Mette, Laura at the front desk and Michael the technician. Beautiful room and very nice building.

Extremely helpful staff, who advised us to arrive at the airport as early as possible as they were aware there were flight cancellations and have heard people had difficulties getting through security. Breakfast is available in the early hours even at 4am which was amazing as it felt like we weren't missing out even if you had to leave early to the airport. Only 10mins drive to the airport. Plenty of places to eat around the hotel.

Location very convenient from Keflavik International Airport and the Blue Lagoon. Staff was fabulous-we just arrived from a long flight and a long soak from the Blue Lagoon and we were tired! We were warmly greeted and helped immediately by very friendly employees. We also found out Jodie Foster stayed at the hotel while filming True Detective…Very cool! Free parking, delicious breakfast. Our host even called her friend the next morning to open his souvenir shop early so we could look at wool sweaters and blankets.

The room was small, but we were put into a room with a balcony overlooking the ocean. A nice view of water and Reykjavik in the background.

Property was very close to the airport, with possibility of shuttle. You just need to wait a little longer and call until they pick up. Breakfast were decent. We really loved the kindness of the receptionist who was flexible and took us next morning to the car rental.

Mattress wasn’t the most comfortable. Light in the bathroom couldn’t be switched off. And it’s a little pricey considering the facilities.

The check-in process was easy. They do not have elevators but she put us on the first floor which was very helpful since we have lots of luggage. The TV in our room did not work but since we had an early flight it didn't really matter. There are plenty of restaurants in walking distance from the hotel.

The old man that picked us up from the airport has a bad back and could not help with the luggage.
