We liked the room, and bathroom was clean and spacious. We liked the breakfast and the kids enjoyed the pool. Tea kettle and coffee and teabags were also present in the room. We loved the bamboo forest ambience around our cottages.

We didn't receive mini shampoo and soap amenities in our room, but it was present in the other rooms we booked. When we checked in , old room service containers were still present near the entrance of our cottage , which slightly ruined the ambience. Check in was at 12pm, but we needed to checkout by 10am the next day, which felt slightly rushed, but we spoke to the reception and they let us checkout a little later.

The location was perfect, the staff were excellent.

The evening entertainment was poor and generally unnecessary. The restaurant staff and chefs were superb but their fish special board was ancient and unchanging which was a surprise considering the excellent fish and seafood available.

Very nice stay with all necessary comfort. We had a nice deal with a bathtub and breakfast included. The compound includes a separate venue with a restaurant and a pool. We had a great dinner and breakfast. Helpful staff.

The compound of the hotel itself is minimalistic but has all the basics. The nature surrounding the hotel is very rural but enjoyable.

It’s a well made, airy building with lots of on site facilities and easy access to the beach. The restaurant and bar prices are reasonable and aren’t more than the liquor shops so there is no real reason not to drink at the bar. The staff are exceptionally hospitable, polite and caring. The place is well managed by Joanna who really goes out of her way to ensure that you are comfortable and happy. My room was promptly upgraded and I had a lovely balcony view of the beach which I was grateful for. We rented cycles from a local company and used them to cycle around the village which is much recommended. I had a lovely stay and am thankful to all involved. It was my first time in South Goa, I’d very much like to come again!

I felt there could be more options for the breakfast, particularly healthy options like fresh fruit. However, once I raised my concerns, the restaurant took them on board and ensured I had a fruit option. Additionally, I felt it a rather odd policy to demand that any guests in your room (despite them not staying) had to show ID at reception.

The bed was awful, hard and lumpy, I slept with the pillow under my back

Friendly, courteous and efficient staff & Mngmnt, good food, great location and swimming pool.

The main building is a bit old & lacks an elevator. The furniture shows it's age. A good renovation will help it become a great property. We did not stay at the cottages hence can't comment on the same.

The pool at Alagoa is an oasis of relaxation and enjoyment in the heart of a beautiful coconut grove. Everything is very well kept and swept with beautiful flora and fauna on the paths around the resort. The restaurant staff are super attentive and friendly with endless inventive snacks and drinks. The full and varied menu is helmed by a talented Goan chef (though the Daal is not to be missed). The rooms were clean with air con, fridge and hot bath- try to book a cottage if they are available for the best stay. It’s only a short walk to a tranquil beach. A real treat for travellers on a budget.

The local car company seem to run the racket just outside so that you can’t bring your own car in…. A little shady

The hotel staff were very helpful in sorting out things. Rooms were appropriately spacious and tidy. Minibar items were at budget prices. Right opposite to the stay is the swimming pool and restaurant. Restaurant staff were very hospitable and friendly. Their service was impeccable. Location is nearer to the beach and peaceful.

The stay did not have elevator service, which was the only let down in our opinion.

the eco huts were really cool and the garden was amazing well don’t go the gardening team !!

we had some girls stay next door too us and all night they were slamming doors coming in n out of their property, this wasn’t the resorts fault but they did ruin our last night there, inconsiderate

We spent 3 amazing days close to the sea in a very quiet environment and well organised with sweet bungalows. The hotel has a nice restaurant cooking good Indian food. The staff is warm and welcoming, always ready to assist and advice.

The quality of equipment is not the best and bungalows suffer of humidity.
