Fantastic quiet (aside from the fishing boats) eco resort, nothing like the club med versions on the island. We loved it, being in a beautiful little open bungalow steps from the beach, spending our time on the quiet beach. Spa was beautiful and the massage was great and very professional. All contact with the owner was great and very helpful. Food was good and clean. Coconuts were fabulous!

Perhaps a few misunderstandings with the staff (likely lost in translation) when ordering food and booking activities. The beach has lots of hungry sand flies (no fault of the resort’s - just for information, bring lots of mosquito spray).

This was my second time staying at Mutiara! I absolutely love it here! If you’re looking for a quiet peaceful retreat into nature, then this place is a great option (and so close to Singapore). The beach is perfect and private, the food is healthy and fresh, and the staff is super nice and accommodating. The river spa is a fantastic bonus as well…one of the most relaxing massages I’ve ever had. I will be back!

The location is beautiful, the food was delicious, we had the whole resort to ourselves!

I think it is worth advising guests that the first call to prayer is 4:45am! Ensure guests wishing to hire watersports or equipment are aware of what is chargeable, there wasn’t any prices listed so we assumed it was included. There are so many mosquitos and sandflies, I’ve never been bitten so much! Also avoid the sea at dawn, there’s loads of jellyfish!

A wonderful vacation with friendly staff and beautiful bungalows just steps away from the beach. Food was okay.

Unfortunately, the beach was highly littered and could use a clean-up. Alarming amount of plastic. We hope that the hotel and local authorities will take steps to keep the beach clean and attractive

The resort is on the remote part of the island of Bintan. It’s been beautifully designed with traditional Indonesian straw roof. The pristine small beach is only 50 meters away, the staff are wonderful people with real empathy and and professionalism. The food is also great. If you’re either living in nearby Singapore of visiting for business you really must spent some time in this resort to destress. They also have a highly recommended spa by the river. What’s not to like?

Every was perfect

The resort was really quiet and peaceful, we were both so relaxed. The rooms were basic traditional huts but they had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and responded to all our requests. The food was delicious! We both had really good massages that were very affordable.

The staff could proactively come and offer food & drinks every so often whilst guests are sitting on the beach or when clearing food plates. We got badly bitten by sand flies, not the resorts fault, they provided lotion for this & gave us cream afterwards. But before visiting again I will try to find other lotions to prevent these bites. Cold water shower.

This was the most beautiful resort! It must have been off season as we were almost alone, only few more people coming and going while we stayed 5 nights. So peaceful and quiet. The hut we were staying in was cozy and prepared with little details wherever you look. Yes there’s loads mosquitoes but we were provided repellent and coils. Got some water bottles every morning too. The spa is 10 out of 10, all lady’s showed the same high level of professionalism. Best (3) massages in my life! Thank you so much. The whole resort is so green and close to nature, it’s clean and just the most magical place. The staff cleans up the beach every day too but it won’t kill you to pick up one or two pieces of rubbish yourself if you see it ;) all staff were extremely helpful and nice. They even joined for a yoga session in the resorts own yoga shala - such down to earth people. There is beach beds and a beach bar to enjoy a fresh coconut while sunbathing.

Nothing negative to say about the resort! It’s just perfect But if you wanna eat outside or do some exploring of the island, there is nothing close by. Next restaurant is like a 15 min walk and they mainly serve food that has some kind of seafood in it…done with fish balls for a while. But there is a small local scooter hire also a 10-15 min walk up the road, which rents out scooter for a fraction of what the resort’s recommended business charges.

Everything about this place was just perfection, it was as expected! We wanted a proper secluded hut experience with the beach right on our doorstep and it’s exactly what we got!! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was absolute bliss!! Not to mention, the staff were so attentive and lovely throughout!! They even put a bonfire on for us when we requested it! All 4 of us booked in for massages and they were to die for, it really added to the peaceful feel we were looking for! 1000% would stay again and recommend to friends and flying colleagues!!

The real luxury of Mutiara is just disconnecting and watching the leaves and the waves dance . Perfect for us after a month in the southern hemisphere to have space to chill and recalibrate for our trip north . The staff are wonderful and the ladies at the spa are expert and welcoming.

The resort can’t control the sandfly season but they provided insect repellent which I forgot. Bring adequate sunscreen as well .

This isn’t my first visit to Mutiara Beach Resort, and it certainly won’t be my last. Every moment here is a joy, from the serene atmosphere to the exceptional service provided by the amazing team. Marc, the owner, has truly created a hidden paradise. In today’s world, true luxury is the ability to disconnect from our hectic lives, and Mutiara is the perfect place to reconnect with yourself. I highly recommend it and will definitely return!
