The staff were really nice and there were unexpected bonuses like a complimentary beach trip and a boat/snorkeling trip. The Driver Katut was very helpful and friendly.

The pool water was green and clearly needed more chlorine. I was concerned that swiming in it may posea health risk.

We had a fantastic stay at Nirwana. The staff are exceptional, we travelled with our toddler and couldn’t have been better looked after. The team took her off to play while we had a drink, they took family photos for us - just brilliant. We stayed in a pool villa and the room was beautiful, beds super comfy and plenty of room. The restaurant food was great - we had all our meals there that weekend and they were all great, and they adapted things for our toddler too.

The only thing was the communication before arrival wasn’t so good - I had a couple of questions and no one got back to me. Didn’t affect our stay though!

The pool and outdoor restaurant area, so very beautiful, and the view into the ocean, we truly felt like being in a paradise. Also the resort felt very seclusive, which we really appreciated.

We only had troubles getting AC to work properly, but had the staff help us out immediately.

Bungalows are great, location is quiet and relaxing. Bathroom excellent! Beds were plush and comfortable (no hard & horrible) they organised taxi service for you. Swings were great fun and a good idea.

BBQ wasn’t great, to slow and not prepared well. Not good value - Don’t offer what you are not good at. Need a buzzer system around pool for drink and food services. Staff didn’t actively ask us while we were around pool relaxing. No spa, renovations currently taking place to fix this, which will be better. I think just offering massages around the pool area or in your room (or set up a small area on location pergola on the beach front, to hear the tranquillity of the waves would be better than going off site or even having spa on-site up at the property entrance) Pool was a little cold and in need of renovation. Maybe add a hammock to bungalow deck or on beach front.

The resort was beautiful. So close to the ocean, its was pure relaxation. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough to help make or stay even more enjoyable.

The staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating towards any requests I had (such as motorbike rental and room decorations). The location is amazing overlooking the bay and I appreciated the free activities such as snorkelling and yoga which were provided by the hotel (even though I didn’t have time to try them).

The AC in the room could’ve been a bit quieter (not a huge deal), and the breakfast wasn’t the best I’ve had for a beach resort. It included one meal off an a la carte menu- which was a fairly small portion- but can’t really complain as there was a little buffet with salad, fruit, pastries, toast and cereal to help yourself to.

Absolutely gorgeous setting on the beach, my room was beautiful yet simple. Surrounded by lovely and well maintained garden/flowers. It Had everything I needed for the night stay. The bed was so comfy I drifted right off the second I jumped in. Staff are very welcoming, warm, full of smiles. Very attentive and extremely helpful from beginning right through to the very end. Amazing hospitality and service!! I cannot wait to come back. They even have the swings where you can snap some gorgeous shots with the ocean in the background. See parts of both the sunrise and sunset. And if you’re lucky, you even get to see some turtles swimming by right out on the ocean in front of you!! No swimming at the beach but accessible by the stairs on the side, much more safer when the tide is out. Can walk down and relax by the rocks and you’ll see many crabs crawling about big and small. When the tide is in, be careful for the Big waves crashing along the sea wall. Lots of seating available in the restaurant/bar area. Tv screen there to watch some rugby or whatever. I enjoyed my dinner there. Beautiful views while indulging in some beautiful traditional meals. You also get a delicious refreshing welcome drink. All staff are just lovely and full of love!! Such a beautiful and peaceful escape if that’s your thing I definitely recommend. NOTE:: they currently do have renovations going on so construction work does tend to be very loud but if you’re out most the day and come back they’ll be done but most likely will carry on for another couple of months. Cannot wait to see the final look and updated space when we return. Look forward to it.

Only The pool tiles could do with some TLC otherwise everything else was fine!

The best thing about this resort is the staff - they all go above and beyond for guests. The food at the restaurant was really very good - we were there for 5 nights and had something different every night. The bungalow was immaculate, felt really luxurious.

We loved everything, we had just done a 2 week tour of Bali so came here to relax for 5 nights before flying home so if you’re looking for something like that then definitely book here. But I wouldn’t base yourself in Candidasa if you want to explore Bali. I do agree with other reviews that the pool tiles could be updated as they’re a bit green but still a lovely pool and didn’t detract from our stay.

Beautiful, clean and lovely resort. Staff were awesome. Had an ocean view unit, was great views from room. Our included breakfast was good.

Rock hard bed actually made my back very sore (I’m only 27), couldn’t make it softer. Food n drink prices very high, bbq night was a rip off with massacred meat. Lobby renovations going on at the moment so some loudness during day, not good when a resort like this is designed to be a stay at accom style. Shuttle service highlighted as a feature, it’s actually a paid feature or they organise a taxi. Offers room service but no menu in the room Heads up their tax and service fees 21% on top of everything in restaurant. Laundry service mentioned as a feature, they actually charge per piece of clothing not per kg, our small laundry amount almost 200k vs a local laundry 50k, it all adds up very fast.

The garden and the view was so unique. Our sea view room was magical and was so quiete. The hotel offered some free activity which was a suprise for us but we loved it. Also there was an afternoon tea and cake time and everything was so delicious. They also offee an east tour activity (find it on there website). We wanted to see more temple than the package included and they were happy to personalize the package. The view from the restaurant was absolutely beautiful. If you are sick or habe a bad stomach it is not a problem for them, they will make you foods you can eat on these days. The staff and I mean eberybody was so friendly and nice, they are always smile at you.
