We stayed for 5 days at Overwater Villa in the mid of September at Ta’aktana Labuan Bajo and ran out of superlatives to describe the experience by the 2nd night! It’s just the absolute best presentation of an Indonesian luxury stay. Very tasteful inclusion of Labuan Bajo seafaring and collective culture in the design of the physical space, cuisine, and the service. Absolutely recommending Ta’aktana wholeheartedly as the topmost representation of Indonesian hospitality!! nothing! everything feels magical

This is a phenomenal high end property. Exquisitely designed with exceptional customer service, dining and facilities. I've never seen such an incredible fitness room at a hotel- with every possible cardio option, free weights (including Olympic barbell and weights!) and machines. The Olympic size lap pool is divine. The spa is second to none. The hotel unapologetically requires guests to adhere to a dress code (e.g. no bathing suits in the restaurants; yes, you have to wear shoes). I especially appreciated that although the property welcomes families and small children, they don't allow children below age 12 to be in their higher end restaurants. It was wonderful to enjoy peaceful meals without the squealing, whining or crying of unmanaged tykes. This property is for the discerning guest who knows this quality comes at a higher price point - however, that price point is far less than one could expect to pay elsewhere in the world.

This property is without reproach. I have no negative feedback.

Absolutely everything from the beautifully furnished and decorated room or rather villa to the incredibly exquisite food to really everyone of the helpful and warm-hearted staff made our stay unforgettable. We were really sad to leave and will hopefully be back one day.

Like the next generation of luxury hotels which is sensitive to its location and history of the place. Supreme luxury. Amazing staff.

Whoever is in charge of music in the restaurant should reduce volume and avoid experimental jazz. But a very small gripe in an ocean of luxury.

Everyone was really nice and attentive to our needs. The property is beautiful and lots of activities if you want to stay in. The restaurants are great too. Love the breakfast!
