- Lovely staff who were so kind and welcoming - really comfy bed!! - also nice to have a bath! - balcony with nice view - breakfast included was nice with eggs and bread and fruit / tea coffee or juice - really good value! - helped us organise trips and laundry and bike hire across the road - really good value for money - location right in central Ubud on monkey forest road which is a busy street but the bungalows are set back and feels really tranquil and quiet! You wouldn’t know you are staying on the Main Street once you step inside the complex. - walkable to many restaurants and shops - one of the nicest places we stayed in bali for this budget! - would stay here again if we come back to Ubud!

For some people the location might be too busy with bad traffic on monkey forest street therefore takes a little time trying to get out of the town if wanting to go on day trips out of Ubud - but for others a good central location, and easy to get around Ubud itself from here!

Freshly made breakfast although its simple. Beautiful garden and swimming pool. The owner and staff were very kind and helpful. Excellent bedding and the room was quite new. AC was powerful and all basic amenities were provided. Some of these amenities were even better than a four star hotel we stayed in Bali. The property is in an allay of a major street in Ubud but very quiet. Some monkeys are around the area, very close to Monkey Forest.

WiFi was very weak and we ended up "stealing" wifi from a hotel next to us as we stayed there before.

Breakfast was very good, deliver to my private balcony to enjoy with sweet birdsong and rising sun. Everyone was super friendly and caring 💖

The hard mattresses in SE Asia I find very difficult to get good rest.

Friendly and so accommodating. Everyone was so helpful and quick to assist with anything. Breakfast was perfect amount and in a lovely new breakfast room. Even when a monkey stole a guests ear-buds, the staff was quick to attempt to get them back- no luck! Fantastic location and so quiet. Beautiful setting.

Mosquito netting is getting a little old and worn. The construction next door is somewhat annoying but will be done soon. Nothing the Kartika staff can do about that.

Super friendly, helpful staff. Great location - central but very quiet and peaceful. I came down with covid while I was staying here, but the staff were so friendly and helpful. Cannot rate these guys highly enough. The pool is beautiful.

Just watch out for the monkeys trying to steal your food :-)

The staff here are amazing!! It was like coming home to family every day. The location is great, just off Monkey Forest Road, but it's set back so very quiet. The breakfast menu was limited but adequate and freshly prepared. The pool was so nice to come back to after a hot day out and about. Like a lot of Ubud, there are some stairs (not too many), but the staff can help with your bags.

There was nothing I didn't like! For those that want it (not me), there is no TV. The bed was a little hard (not uncommon for Bali)

Beautiful homestay style bungalows. They were very beautiful people and helpful. Great location. Wifi was a bit touch and go sometimes, but besides that it was absolutely perfect

The delightful tranquil garden in the middle of Ubud’s busy centre, close to all the shops, cafes, restaurants, temples, museums and dance venues. The rooms were comfortable and practical and the family super-friendly. The two pools are a great plus too.

Nothing really. The rooms were a little dark but good lighting made it super easy to hunt down the mosquitoes that got into the mosquito net. Hot water was just a little temperamental but having hot water altogether is a great bonus in a property at this price level. I was afraid of the possibility of invasive monkeys but I saw them only once, almost too briefly as the family was super efficient at chasing them away.

Great location, kind and friendly hosts, clean, comfortable, good aircon, hot shower, good storage space.

Mattress a bit firm, dim reading lights, no hand towel/place to hang a towel by the sink. Screws came out of towel shelf in bathroom with normal use so I brought the one on the patio inside. Don’t leave anything on the patio as the monkeys can be destructive. They tore off an umbrella handle and ripped up a patio cushion during my stay.

A hidden gem of Ubud. Not visible much from outside, but once found the entrance it is like walking in a beautiful garden that extends quite long in the inland. Room very clean, friendly staff always available and great location!

It may get a little noise if some monkey come and the (super cute) dog of the property barks at them. But never issue with monkey or anything else.
