Great room, balcony, breakfast, and staff! No complaints there.

The hotel is on a narrow street with lots of fast traffic going both ways and no sidewalks. It's dark at night and there are no pedestrian crossings. It felt unsafe and, indeed, my foot fell into an open sewer once while walking at night, hurting my knee. So that's the only negative to Swahita and it's not the hotel's fault. I ended up taking taxis places even if the destination was just a half mile away. I really prefer walkable locations. Lots of areas of Ubud and other towns are unsafe to walk so it's a national problem. It might be more of a pet peeve for me at 52 than it would be for a younger person.

The staff was very attentive. They always asked about how our day was going and if we needed anything. They provided us with an iron and hairdryer inmediately when requested.

Uma Kutuh, these guys are selling tickets to Gili T of Semaya (THE WORST, FAST BOAT COMPANY) It took us 13 hours of travel from Padang Bai to Gili -T(not direct because the motor of our boat failed, so we were offered Padang Bai> Lemar> Lombok> Gili T ) PS: I know this is not related to the hotel but everyone should be aware that neither Uma Kutuh, Semaya or Inamai fast boat should be a service to take. It will ruin your trip.

I loved everything about the hotel! Sunarta was incredible and so so so kind! From the moment I checked in, I knew this was going to be a wonderful stay. I booked this hotel at the last minute, only 20 mins before I checked in. The original hotel I had booked was disappointing and I instantly wanted to leave so I found Swahita on booking.com, booked 4 nights and ordered a taxi to take me there. Sunarta checked me in and gave me a room upgrade as it was my birthday weekend. He went above and beyond for me during my entire stay. I felt so cared for and he even organised a surprise for my birthday but having a cake delivered to my room. It really speaks to his personality and how much he cares about the staff that stay here. The hotel was in a quiet and secluded location but still extremely close to the main centre. Everything was 15 mins away and walkable! The hotel itself is clean, bright, spacious and beautiful. The staff are so incredibly kind and always asking if you need anything. The swimming pool is big and peaceful to relax near it or go for a swim. The views from the bedroom are stunning as it us a jungle view with a balcony, chairs and a table. A great place to read a book, journal, meditate, listen to music, have a coffee, etc. I had my breakfast on the balcony every morning and loved the peaceful mornings so much!

The property was very close to bars and restaurants whilst being down a quiet little road so there was little to no noise at night. We stayed for 4 nights. We booked this hotel 30 mins before arriving after leaving the Sungu Resort and Spa without staying a single night there, as it was terrible. As soon as we got to the Swahita at very short notice we got a good feeling. Clean reception with unbelievably helpful staff. We were given a welcome drink whilst they completed a speedy check-in for us and showed us to our room. Because we booked so last minute there was only a family room left which offered 2 large double beds. If you’re a family, the room was very spacious and had a lot of storage space! If you’re a couple then we saw the rooms with 1 bed and they still looked great. Our room was cleaned every day, with fresh towels and bottled water provided. It was as though they tried to get it cleaned and tidied as soon as they saw us leave for the day, so that there was no way we were coming back to an unmade room. Staff were absolutely brilliant. The pool was really nice, well Kept and quiet. Staff asked if we would’ve liked complimentary tea or coffee each time we relaxed at the pool. They were also okay with the fact we bought a few beers from the local shop to enjoy by the pool! There were only about 6 sun loungers but it was never an issue as the hotel is nice and quiet. We always seemed to get a sun loungers even if we started relaxing at 3pm or so, after a day of activities. All the staff were truly great and helpful, but a special mention goes to Agus! He was one of the highlights of our holiday, made us feel welcome and comfortable, and was one of the nicest people we met on our travels! Would recommend Swahita!

We had a lovely stay at Swahita. The pool area is very nice, and the terrace was very nice. Every morning the staff provided our breakfast to the terrace, so we enjoyed it quietly with a beautiful jungle view. The staff were very kind and helpful, and were always available to help with questions and bookings. Mr. Sunarta was very helpful, and we really enjoyed that he shared about his everyday life in Bali, providing us with a better understanding of a local perspective. Additionally, the hotel provided a lovely afternoon tea, and we were even offered a free massage. All in all, we are very happy with our stay here.

The breakfast was good, but it could be improved for an even better experience, as it got a bit repetitive after a few days.

We have a family room that's big with lovely balcony and view to the peaceful jungle. The staff are really friendly and helpful. I don't use breakfast at hotel so no review. We enjoy 1 breakfast at Lotus cafe, and 2 at the balcony with bread and cup noodle bought from supermarket. The swimming pool is good enough, clean and cover by plants around so we can enjoy it whatever time. Near by the Ubud center, just 500m-1km you will see many good warungs/restaurant. We love walk to SunSun warung for Balinese food and Moon by Sun for European food (local band on Tues and Thurs). The hotel in a small road from the main road, so it's very quiet and we can have good sleep.

The sound-proof not very good. One night we woke up because of the noise from the next room at night, maybe they come back late from the bar. Big bathroom, but it can be better if staf mantaine the floor and wall, it's covered with yellow spots because of usage for long time.

Excellent service room was very spacious and clean

not their fault but at night (only for 1 hour) there's a lot of flying ants and they come into the room if you have the lights on. The staff is very helpful

We are a family (2 adults, 1x four year old and a baby of six months), stayed in the family room and although I had my reservations about us all being in the same room but it was very comfortable. The hotel is super clean and the lovely staff cleaned the room to a high standard each day. The pool was great and even had a shallow section with a (under water) division that was great for our four year old to be in. The staff were amazing and super helpful, also remembered our names throughout the stay which is very personal - plus great recommendation on where to eat in the evening. The breakfast, had a few options and was very tasty. You can enjoy it on your balcony or in the restaurant area, we chose the balcony the first few days but soon realised this wasn’t easy as the table is a bit on the small side for the amount of food and four people so went the restaurant after that and was much more comfortable. Over all great, safe feeling hotel with a lovely pool to relax/ play in before and after your adventures in/around Ubud!

My only negative was the walk from the hotel to the “main” area is a bit hairy and as we have very young children was not ideal at the best of times even more so in the dark with minimal or no pavement and such fast mopeds going by. This wouldn’t be such a problem for adults and we walked it each day, just have to be careful.

The personnel very attentive , every demand we have had they solve it fairly fast. The bed was ok, the matress good. One night we saw outside in the forest fire flies. The garden was luxurious, they have a swiming pool and a pool with fish.

Beeing practicaly in the jungle and with that hot and humid climate, the bathroom smelled like mold . Also the AC smelled like mold. Ants were all over, we were cautious not to leave crumbs . The breakfast was made fresh, but limited to 3 options. Was near the center ...but not quite.

We recently stayed at this hotel near Ubud, and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The location is convenient if you want to be close to Ubud city, although the walking path to the center could use some improvement. However, that’s not the hotel's fault. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. They went out of their way to accommodate my requests, including preparing the room with beautiful honeymoon decorations, which was a lovely surprise. Although we missed the afternoon tea due to our busy travel schedule, the staff was kind enough to suggest we enjoy it later, which I appreciated. The hotel features a lovely pool that gets plenty of sunshine during the day, and the water is perfect for an evening swim. Additionally, the balcony overlooking the forest is a great spot to unwind, as you can hear the soothing sounds of nature. Breakfast was satisfying, with generous portions and options for fresh fruit and juice. Overall, I recommend this hotel for its friendly staff.

One minor issue was that the door to our room had a noticeable gap, which could be a concern for privacy.
