The grounds are a little unkempt. Feels like hotel is still getting their groove on Small things like worn menus poolside need to be addressed

the fan has a big sound and I cannot really turn it on. The cattle was not working properly. And when we arrive the sink was a bit blocked. Also, cannot open the window or door because there is no mosquito net. I think for a place with price like this, the basic condition can be improved.

Grun is located away from the Uluwatu centres but that is it's charm. Those using scooters will not find this an issue. It is very calm and quiet with the sense of being in a forest. Especially in the tree house we rented. Staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The pool is spectacular and a favourite place to be. Loved the Scandi inspired designs and furniture. Bed was very comfortable. Great smoothies and coffee at breakfast.

Our unit had a kitchen but was bare of any kitchen equipment such as plates, cutlery etc. There is no way to prepare fruit or simple meals like breakfast. Supplied breakfast was generally good except for a couple of lapses when only half the hot breakfast was hot. Evening meals were OK but limited.

The room was very nice and had everything we needed. Very relaxing garden and great breakfast! Would love to stay here again soon.

Little bit far from beach

Location is amazing, also the quality of the accommodation and the staff.

There was construction noise all over the property. Especially at the pool/restaurant you couldn't enjoy without having your head explode from the noise. I wish I had a warning about that though

Exceptional retreat — the perfect place for a dream vacation!” I don’t understand why this hotel isn’t considered five-star. The property is huge, lush, and secluded, providing a perfect escape from the island’s hustle and bustle. Yet, it’s conveniently close to cafes, shops, and other amenities. The staff deserves a perfect 10/10 — incredibly kind and professional. I loved that the property is surrounded by fruit-bearing trees and that many of the ingredients used are either homegrown or sourced locally. For example, there are birds on the property, and their eggs are used for cooking. The concept of the cottages is also amazing. You can stay in tree houses elevated among the trees, ground houses, or ones with stunning ocean views. Staying here was such a joy that, honestly, we often didn’t feel like leaving to explore the city or even to eat elsewhere. The restaurant is fantastic. Breakfasts are some of the best in Uluwatu, and the dinner menu is equally incredible. The pool is amazing, with a beautiful view. There are sun loungers with umbrellas and even a covered area where you can always stay shaded. The poolside service is outstanding — you can enjoy coconut water, smoothies, coffee, or snacks without leaving your spot. The waitstaff is incredibly friendly and professional. I also appreciated the hotel’s eco-friendly approach. Instead of single-use toiletries, they provide large bottles of shampoo and shower gel, which is not only convenient but also environmentally conscious. Plus, the products are sulfate-free, which is a great touch. I give this hotel the highest rating and want to thank all the staff for two weeks of an absolutely wonderful vacation.

The room was lovely and comfortable. The breakfast dining room is cool and breezy with soft music. The most comfortable place to sit on the property. Service throughout the facility is very gracious, and responsive to every request. I took advantage of the daily yoga classes and free transportation around the area - it was always available when I requested it.

The pool area was not very comfortable. Its still under construction, not enough lounge chairs for all guests so getting one is competitive. There is no shade - the umbrellas are an open macramé fabric that don’t block the sun. With the very loud music and alcohol service in the pool, the 180 sunset is more of a barroom environment than the zen experience I was imagining from the description.

Amazing brand new resort in Uluwatu - the modern treehouse was beautiful, all amenities included, the octagon was great for breakfast and the views from the infinity pool were amazing especially at sunset. All staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Overall we loved our stay at Grun!

It was a short drive from the beaches and Uluwatu, but Grab and Gojek are perfect for taxis!

This resort is beautiful and quiet. Nestled within nature, it was a nice escape from the busyness of the main hustle and bustle. Love love love the pool area overlooking bit of the ocean. There’s a gym which has the basic equipment and that was lovely. Room was clean and spacious and staff was just beyond smiley and helpful! Food delivery was easy and getting a grab/gojek ride was convenient too. Bonus! Three adorable kittens at the lobby were a treat!

Unfortunately, being part of nature comes with mosquitoes which was annoying but nothing against the property. Thankfully they provide mosquito repellent.
