Amazing staff & restaurant. Food was superb. Beautifully relaxing pool, garden & restaurant. Staff are so helpful and friendly. The room was made up each day. Outdoor bathroom was very cute. Plus warm water in the outside bathroom. Phenomenal value for money. The included breakfasts were sensational.

Room was a little warm, a/c not that fab and bed average but everything else was AMAZING!

Review of The Tempekan Heritage Hotel, Bali I recently stayed at The Tempekan Heritage Hotel in Bali and had a pleasant experience overall. The rooms are a bit smaller than they appear in the photos, but they are still a good size and quite comfortable. Each room features a private outdoor bathroom and toilet, which offers a unique and refreshing experience. Additionally, the room has its own terrace, perfect for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. The hotel boasts a beautiful pool area with comfortable lounge chairs, and the garden surrounding it is truly stunning, creating a serene atmosphere. The hotel's restaurant, Amaranth, serves excellent food, and you can even have your meals delivered to the pool or your room, which is a nice touch. The staff at both the restaurant and the hotel are friendly and eager to help, making the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel is located in a quiet area, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. However, the nearest shops, restaurants, and the beach are a bit far—about a 10-minute scooter ride to the center or beach. One positive aspect is that the hotel offers late check-out for an additional fee, which can be very helpful depending on your travel schedule. Overall, The Tempekan Heritage is a charming place with excellent amenities and a peaceful environment. While it's not right next to the beach or town center, the serene location makes up for it, and with friendly staff and great food, it’s an enjoyable place to stay.

One downside was the Wi-Fi. The signal was weak, and the connection was often slow, which made it difficult to do anything that required a stable internet connection. However, this is a minor issue compared to the overall experience. For those looking to stay active, the hotel has a small gym with free weights and two treadmills. Unfortunately, the treadmills are slippery, and the gym's air conditioning is insufficient to cool down the glass-walled space, making it uncomfortable for longer workouts.

It’s very authentic. Surrounded by nature. If you are looking for an experience to connect you to nature it’s great. The room “cottage” is very small, there is almost no space for anything but it’s charming. The bathroom is outdoors and I had an encounter with a frog in my bathroom and other animals and insects. It was an experience.

The doors are not really closing. The doors to the bathroom is just a slider and it doesn’t do much in terms of keeping insects out from the room. I constantly had ants and little flies in. They provided a plug in device for the insects but it meant that I had a lot of dead bugs on the bed. The cleaning of the room could be improved, I didn’t have my towels changed for about a week.

I wasn’t aware that the rooms are not mosquito proof. They are traditional Balinese style properties which is a unique and authentic experience, but it means there are small gaps in the door and windows (we were diligent with repellent and mosquito room plug ins and didn’t get bitten). It also means the huts can be slightly warmer with outside air coming in, even with AC turned on, but it wasn’t uncomfortable. The hotel advertises laundry and massage services on booking.com but these are offsite, and not at the hotel so we had to make a trip to the laundrette.

The staff were absolutely amazing, always smiling and said good morning and good night every day… they were so friendly. The actual villa itself was EXCEPTIONAL. I cannot complain AT ALL. The pool was beautiful, the rooms were absolutely fabulous… the bathroom was so beautiful I wish i had that bathroom in my own home. The food was so delicious and priced very well. When my sister and I arrived they took our bags for us and served us a complimentary welcome drink that was delicious. My sister and I have already decided we are coming back to The Tempekan Heritage when we visit Bali soon again. Thank you to all the beautiful staff 🩷

Nothing… everything was perfect.

Great value for money. Rooms are basic but clean and tidy and the outdoor bathrooms are a nice touch. Aircon in the rooms worked well. Very green and well maintained gardens. There is not much within walking distance but it is a quick taxi drive to the main beach bars and clubs. Staff were lovely and the service was great. Inclusive breakfast was delicious and the 2 for 1 pizza deal for lunch was great. Pool area is a bit small but good for a quick dip. They accomodated our family group of 12 very well and even prepared breakfast to go when we have to check out early.

Rooms are a bit of a squeeze with 2 big suitcase open. Beds were a bit on the hard side.

Just In the restaurant area you can smoke, which made it quite unpleasant, eating with cigarette smoke is not cool. Especially for a 4⭐️ restaurant with so many common areas, it should be prohibited in the restaurant.

I booked some time in advance and the price/quality ratio was great. The staff are always there for you. The guest coworking space is normally empty, the area is quiet and close to uluwatu beaches (10min by motorbike), and the restaurant is really good.

I think the included breakfast is limited in terms of drinks, would be nice to have cappuccino also included (only black coffee and some juices). But nothing critical.

Lovely Balinese style resort with comfortable little surf shacks to stay in. Semi outdoor bathroom is lovely especially when it rains (as long as you’re okay with snails joining you). Nice pool area with a very warm pool. Yummy breakfast options every morning. Staff were absolutely lovely.

It was a little far away from the centre of Uluwatu so you definitely need access to transportation (easy Gojek ride away). Not many restaurants or shops within walking distance. Location is good if you don’t like to be near hustle and bustle.

The tempekan heritage consists of beautiful wooden huts with outdoor bathrooms. The resturant is amazing and has lots of healthy options. Also in an amazing areas but will require a ped if your wanting to get into central Uluwatu / beaches etc. Staff wonderful and friendly. One of the best places we stayed in our one month Bali trip

The cabins are quite small (not that we minded as we were out all the time) but worth a mention to upgrade if your wanting space
