Really liked staying here. The gentleman (sorry, I didn't catch his name) on reception was very friendly, the room very comfortable and spacious, the shower powerful and the wifi fast. Nice to have a small fridge in the room! The price was good too. Would recommend!

The pillows were quite hard and the elevator was a squeeze to get 2 people and 2 small backpacks inside, but these were minor issues.

We arrived at the Wellbeck late at night in the midst of a storm. Smiles from Nico at the reception, a warm welcome and offers of help. The room is light, warm (but not too warm), all modern amenities and clean. The food is plentiful both at breakfast and dinner. But the thing that makes Wellbeck great is the following. I had come to the island because a family member living here had become seriously unwell. I had to extend my stay by two weeks. Knowing my stress, the staff at the hotel became my family. Kind, caring, friendly and helpful. They went the extra mile everyday for me at what was one of the worst times in my life. I can't thank them enough, nor will I ever be able too. From reception, to kitchen staff, dining room ladies (Rosheen -did I spell that right- and Chrissie) and the room maintenance staff. I will hold them dear to me for ever

The hotel was a clean, welcoming establishment with a friendly, intimate, warm atmosphere. We arrived late in the evening so to settle into a very comfortable bed and get a peaceful nights sleep was a great start! Up early for breakfast and the staff were there, ready to welcome us with a smile and proceeded wait on us and provide everything we requested. The breakfast itself met all our expectations, good strong coffee, fresh bread toast, with the "full Manx" or on other mornings we chose a smaller version to preserve our waistline! We will be back to this hotel in the future!

Breakfast and dinner are served in the large dining room/ conservatory. A wide choice of cold items including cereals, fruit and juices were available from the self service bar, whilst cooked breakfast was prepared to order and brought to the table along with tea and coffee. Optional evening meals are available until 8-30pm. The hotel offers a variety of en-suite bedrooms from a small , but adequate small double, which I had to large family rooms. My room was tastefully furnished and maintained to the highest levels, being serviced daily.

I could find no fault with this hotel.

The conservatory restaurant was light and airy and spacious. The mainly young serving staff were friendly and helpful. The food (cooked to order) at breakfast and dinner was excellent. We asked for a corner room and the hotel was able to allocate room 204. This was quiet and spacious and bright with a window looking down the street to the sea. A few minutes walk down to the promenade it was an excellent location

There is no car park and the street is very steep - no parking restrictions. Made it a bit of a struggle with the suitcases.

Lovely location halfway around the bay, just back from the seafront. Great Reception staff. We turned up very early to ask if we could leave our bags and without prompting they volunteered to check if our room was ready. It was, so they checked us in at about 10am. Very helpful. For a small double room it was a decent size and the bathroom has clearly been recently refurbished to a lovely modern suite - large shower cubicle. Bed very comfy. Breakfast was good - good selection and friendly efficient service. Everywhere very clean and tidy. Some of the decor is a bit dated but clearly being well maintained. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would recommend to friends and family.

We had a great stay. If I had to mention something it would be that the room was really quite warm, even without the radiator on and the window wide open. The fan in the room wasn’t the best so would recommend an upgrade to the fan provided. But that is being picky…..

We stayed here for the TT 2024, we’d booked a small double and our room was lovely and spacious, really clean and facilities were good. The bed was super comfy as well! We arrived early as our flight got us in before 9am and headed to the hotel where they were happy to hold our bags for us and accommodate us for breakfast which was lovely. Every staff member we spoke to and dealt with was lovely and really helpful. The evening before we left we were really struggling to get through to a taxi company, we asked for some help and within 10 minutes a taxi had been booked for us. This really helped ease the stress as we left. We can’t wait to stay again in the future!

The room is large, clean, and well furnitured. The location is good, close to the bus stop. The staff are helpful, patient and responsible. They helped me with the invoice and let me stay in the lounge after check-out to complete my own business. The breakfast is simple but enough for me.

The room is just beside the lift, so I can hear the noise caused by the lift. A kettle is provided but there is no tap for drinking water in the room. I think all the hotels in Isle of Man are doing so now, so it's not a fault of the hotel.

The location was very central and convenient to shops, sights and transportation. The breakfast offered many choices and the dining room was lovely. The hotel offered a pleasant and friendly bar, where we enjoyed a late night snack. The staff were more than helpful. Hotel was clean throughout with no shortage of hot water and great water pressure.

The shower within the bath was a bit tricky and there was a frequent smell of sewage from the bathroom.

Excellent hotel less than 2 minutes walk from the promenade and bus stop to/from airport. I asked for a quiet room and was allocated a beautiful room at the back of the hotel on the 2nd floor. Staff were attentive and efficient with special mention to Lucy, who facilitated an early check-in for me on my day of arrival.

Nothing - but something that others should know is that the walk from the promenade is up a slight hill that some may find an issue.
